Great fun! Min is a great guide! We had a yummy buncha for lunch and had fun making our pottery piece!
Excellent tour and guide Very accomodating and had the best time!!
Lovely experience, Min was a great guide with lots of knowledge and good energy! The pottery making was a fun experience as well!
Hanoi can be busy and energetic, so spending a few hours exploring somewhere different is appealing. Bat Trang offers a glimpse of traditional village life and a long-standing ceramic-making tradition. I like that this kind of excursion can fit into a shorter travel schedule without requiring a full day away from the city. The vintage Jeep also makes the journey feel more distinctive than standard transportation.
One of the most interesting parts of a pottery visit is discovering how much skill goes into making a simple ceramic object. Watching the process is one thing, but trying it yourself gives you a different appreciation for the craft. This tour combines that cultural experience with a distinctive Jeep ride. If the hands-on pottery activity is included in your booking, it can be a fun way to make the visit more memorable. Making Pottery Was Harder Than It Looked
Sometimes the places you remember most are not the famous landmarks, but the ones where you get to slow down and look around. I enjoyed exploring Bat Trang and seeing the many styles of ceramics on display. There was a different atmosphere from central Hanoi, which made the visit feel worthwhile. The Jeep ride helped make the outing more memorable, and I was glad to have included it in my itinerary.
[Tiêu đề TripAdvisor: ⇐ xoá] An Interesting Mix of Adventure and Tradition [Nội dung đánh giá: ⇐ xoá] I liked that this experience brought together two quite different things: the fun of travelling around in a Jeep and the opportunity to learn about a traditional Vietnamese craft. Bat Trang was interesting to explore, especially if you enjoy handmade objects and local markets. The half-day format also makes it easier to fit into a busy Hanoi itinerary. For me, the combination was what made this tour stand out.
A Different Way to Explore Hanoi's Surroundings I would choose a tour like this for something beyond the usual city sightseeing. The Jeep experience brings a sense of adventure, while Bat Trang provides an opportunity to learn about a traditional Vietnamese craft. The two parts complement each other nicely: one is about the journey, and the other is about discovering local culture. It is a good option to consider if you have a few hours available in Hanoi.
This tour was a last minute decision, but we are SO glad we did it. Our lovely tour guide Justin was very knowledgeable and very friendly through the whole tour. He shared wonderful information about the history of the town and also the life and culture of this beautiful country. Big shout out to our driver also…it must take real skill to drive that jeep through the streets of Hanoi. Thank you Justin for taking such care with us🫰🏼
Excellent tour with Min. He was friendly and provided fascinating information. Learned so much
The jeep tour to the pottery village was so much fun. Our guide Min was very friendly; polite, and super knowledgeable. The driver was also courteous and took us to the destinations and back safely. Thank you so much.
Awesome tour in the jeep. Had a good Time and got to see lots in the 4.5 hours. Highly recommend
We had so much fun on this tour! Thank you to our tour guide, Min, who made in unforgettable. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was not only informational, but it was very fun. Min’s energy definitely set the tone for the day😊 The ceramics were absolutely beautiful. I did a lot of shopping and I’m so happy with everything I got. The tour greatly exceeded my expectations and I would do it again if I’m ever in Hanoi!
Our experience touring the pottery village with Min has been the most enjoyable part of our entire trip so far. The culture and learning experience here are unparalleled. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Min.
We really enjoyed our half day trip to the pottery village with our guide, Hieu. He was very helpful and informative and it was a fun experience riding on the old jeep!
Went with 2 kids - 10 and 7 year old. Pottery experience was fun and Justin was a great guide
Super friendly and considerate The Jeep is awesome and the tour guide really told us many Vietnam stuff which even upgraded our experience during the half day tour!
Bread was our guide. Not only was she enthusiastic and informative during the tour of the ceramic village, she was flexible and was able to tweak the activities to our own interests, such as learning more about lotus silk/tea. Highly recommended!
We had an excellent tour managed by our guide Duy, who made every effort to make it both enjoyable and educational. Duy was amazing and knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions with patience. Also, thanks to our expert driver Hoa who took the time to make stops for places of interest along the scheduled route and make sure we got plenty of great photo opportunities as well. It was a great afternoon out in Hanoi, and the Jeep was a fun way to travel and learn about the local pottery and silk crafts and find some lovely souvenirs to take home. Duy also took fantastic photos for us!
