Ha Long Bay Luxury Day Escape – Pickup Hanoi, Ninh Binh Or Halong

What an experience, from the luxury boat cruise from Halong cruise port, fantastic on-board buffet lunch while cruising on our way to Sung Sot Cave which is located on Bo Hon Island. Exploring the cave was awesome this natural wonder in the middle of nowhere, practically. Next onto kayaking/bamboo boats to the see what is called the "Amazing Bay" from there cruising to Ti-Top Island for some swimming. Our guide Oliver was very knowledgeable and accommodating - Our cruise ended with a party on the top deck on our way back to port. A long day but well worth it

This is a brilliant trip. Picked up from the hotel and taken to a magical place. I was looked after from Jackie from the start to finish. He was very helpful throughout. My favourite part was the kayaking around the bay. Magical. I highly recommend doing this tour.

One of the best experiences ever. I went solo but still had fun connecting with other people around the world. Mickey was an excellent tour guide that made everything perfect. Every since my trip I have been highly recommending it to my friends. 10/10 would definitely book again.

Our original overnight stay tour was canceled due to bad weather but Daisy from the travel company was super helpful and kept us updated via Whattsapp about the weather situation etc. In the end she managed to get us on this tour instead as soon as boats were going out again so we could still see Ha Long Bay despite leaving Vietnam the following day. We got a refund for the difference the next day too. The tour itself was well organised, the boat was clean and quite luxurious compared to others we saw around, the guide was great and buffet lunch was really tasty.

Nice staff members, good time keeping, delicious food, nice view, wonderful kayaking. I highly recommend you should use this type of travel plan.

This was an amazing trip!!! With transportation to and from Hanoi, delicious lunch (with awesome options for vegetarians) and the best guide (Sunny!!), I had the best day!! We got to see so many sights, learn about them and the history, and enjoy time together and separate on the boat! Daisy and Sam (the travel experts) are also incredible and so helpful for everything you may need! Do this trip!!!

Once we got out of the polluted skies of the city, the islands were magnificent! Greeted by monkeys in a cove, explored inside a cave, climbed steep sets of stairs to a lookout and dipped our feet at a beach. The boat itself was adequate but ended up breaking down on the way back, resulting in a 45 minute delay and having to be towed. Overall, glad we went.

I took a one-day tour of Halong Bay. I would recommend one of the longer trips. The day was made all the more interesting when we crashed into another boat. Required for a visit to the northern part of Vietnam.

We were picked up from the old quarter in Hanoi. Our guide was superb all day. It is a long day - but so worth it! We had lovely food on the boat out to the Halong bay, a great kayak ride, a look round some caves and then a trip to Ti-top island - which is worth a climb to the top! I contacted company very short notice, actually the evening before. Sam promptly answered and arranged everything just perfectly. The trip was enjoyable. It was a great cruise ride, under great weather, thankfully. Some areas of interest were highlighted, like the Kissing/Fighting Chickens and the Ding Huong islet featured in the 200k dong note.I enjoyed the time, thanks

We were already in Ha long looking for a day trip straight from the port to see the islands and all the tours seem to begin from Hanoi at a higher price including the bus ride to ha long and back to Hanoi. With this trip there was an option to join the tour at the port for a cheaper price which was 6 hours instead of the 12 including the buses. Daisy and Sam contacted us through WhatsApp to make sure we knew where to meet and even sent us pictures of the meeting points so we didn’t miss the trip. The tour guide was very accommodating, humorous and full of knowledge and facts about the places we visited and passed on the tour! The kayaking and the caves were a major highlight and the food on the boat was amazing. Me and my partner do not like seafood so they prepared chicken and vegetarian food for us and included wine on the boat ride back from the trip! All in all I would highly recommend this trip :)

My friends and I went for single day cruise, it was amazing!!! The service on the boat and throughout the trip was good, the cruise meal even accommodated to my vegetarian friend’s dietary requirements. Tour guide was really welcoming and caring. The experience was enjoyable! recommend it with this company!

I read many reviews, including the dire review recently left by someone. All i can say is that my daughter, son and I thought the entire cruise was a hightlight of our 3 weeks tour of Vietnam. Halong Bay is a must-see if visiting Hanoi. It’s best to book a tour for the attraction and this one was great! There were some issues due to us booking last-minute but the team was very responsive and helpful. The tour was also a lot of fun for us!

Although it may take up to 3 hours to get to the bay from Hanoi it was worth. The kayaking was a nice touch, the caves are an awesome site and gentle trek up Ti Top was perfect to get those breathe taking views of the rocky scenery.

The Bay particularly the cave was amazing. The tour guide spent more time chatting with the bus driver than with us and the ride home was no stop which meant they were seven hours that we had not eaten and frankly I was really hungry. There was a rest stop on the way up and I am curious why there was not one on the way back especially since it has been so many hours since we had eaten. The weather was horrible but that was no one’s fault although it would have been nice if a complementary poncho was offered instead of our paying for it and perhaps some hot tea instead of just hot water When we returned soaking wet. I have never been in a place where a cup of hot water was offered as a snack I think a lot could have been improved to make the customers feel more special. We had a nice experience with a lovely Korean family who shared our table. So what I liked about it was the camaraderie of the family we met and the lovely seen a cave but I would rate the rest of the experience pretty poorly

James, our tour guide, was super friendly. He helped us get from our hotel to Ha Long Bay. This was perfect for sightseeing! Views are worthwhile!

It takes 3 hours (one way) but it's worth it. A unique, beautul scenery is waiting for you. The boat is comfortable, the lunch is big. And when the sun comes out, the whole trip is magical!

The trip was very enjoyable, some great views around the bay and good food. Our tour guide, Andy, was excellent, well spoken and funny.

Great cost effective way to visit Ha Long Bay in the day from Hanoi. Pick up was on time & the bus was clean. It took about 3.5 hours with a 20 minute break and we were straight onto the boat when we arrived when lunch was promptly served. We spent the next 4 hours cruising the highlights of the bay catching the sunset on our way back. Great all round experience. Shout out to our guide too Duc. He gave us some really useful local knowledge.

Well organised trip, the pick up was on time and took us about 3.5 hours with a 20 minute comfort break. Our tour guide Duc gave us some great local info throughout the journey. We went straight into the boat without delay and were served lunch straight away which consisted of a good selection of mainly cold foods. The trip itself visited the main highlights of the bay and we saw the sunset on our way back to the harbour. Despite it being a long day myself and my girlfriend throughly enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone wanting to see Ha Long bay who doesn’t have much time in northern Vietnam. Halong bay made my trip to Vietnam worth it. It is filled with lifetime experience and worth going again. What I enjoyed most was the hospitable staff that helped us with everything and their services were truly appreciable.

We had an excellent trip to Halong Bay. Our Tour Guide, Nam was a delight and a joy. We would say Halong Bay is a must-do for every traveller to Vietnam. Loved the incredible Caves and the boat ride.

One of the must do activity when you are in Hanoi. Halong Bay trips available in both a day tour and 2 day tour as well it's depend on you which tour you want to choose according with your travel plans. I have booked a day tour from my hotel lobby in 35 Usd (1,666,000 VND) which includes pick and drop from hotel, all entrance fees, cruise ride, gondola ride, Thien Cung Cave visit, on board lunch and English speaking guide. The tour was really amazing, comfortable cruise, veggie foods available on advance request, unlimited drinks are available for cash. One of the best trip i ever had but was little unlucky as coldly weather almost spoiled my trip. But i managed to take few pictures.

It was very good tour! Easy access, good navigator, beautiful landscape, and so forth. I joined alone, but I enjoyed with other groups.

If we have more time, we will choose 3 days in Halong bay. However, we have short time, Halong bay day trip is only one choice this time. I chose luxury option and all services arranged smoothly. Limousine transports, nice boat, delicious food, etc Halong bay is so beautiful in the sunny day, we will comebac and visit Halong and Cat Ba in the next time.

This was the worst 12 hours of my life! Don't do it. The expected two hours drive via the expressway took 4 hours. Spent 5 hours on the water instead of 6. Cave tour consisted of walking heel to heel with one very long line of people with one way in and one way out. No escaping! 'Bamboo boats' were oversized fibreglass replicas and the kayaking part did not happen. The so called beach was a small roped off polluted area. The toilet floor was covered in water and toilet tissue was wet from falling on the filthy floor.Smokers enjoyed the freedom of tossing their grotty cigarette butts into the water. Never out of sight of high rise buildings and power towers on this day trip. Don't do it.

We had a good trip. The weather was hot. The guide was very good. The food excellent. The boats are not like the one pictured. Overall an experience to do if you haven’t done it before.

We did an overnight out from Hanoi, which in our opinion, would be a minimum as opposed to a one day. The trip offered everything it said, the caves were a great walk, the house boats were an experience and overall, if youre in Hanoi, your trip is made richer by a Halong Bay trip. Be aware, it is a 4 hr bus from Hanoi which is okay, but home can be slow.

OK - to start off with, we didn't actually end up on the Ha Long Bay Tour- but that was because Typhoon Wipha decided to pass directly overhead and the govt brought all the boats to harbour. But ... here's the actual review of BC Family Tours. We'd organised multiple locations to stay around Hanoi and had some arrangements and some gaps in terms of transport. I was contacted by Daisy nice and early about the Ha Long Bay visit and made arrangements and she mentioned airport pickup, which was at a much better price than the high end hotel that I was staying had quoted. So we took them up on the offer (4 people). An excellent pickup (good sized car, clear pickup with signage, nice drivers, etc) at a very reasonable price. So I also asked about driving us to the Ba Vi mountains. Also - a great service and very reasonable price. Then, we had to change plans at the last minute and I needed to get back from Ba Vi Mountains back to Hanoi - so with one day's notice, I call Daisy and sure enough she sorts us a brilliant ride back at a great price. We then topped off the trip with a final airport ride (slight wobble on that one as the driver had the wrong name for me - but we sorted it out and made it to the airport OK, so no harm done). So - thanks Daisy at BC Family Tours - you're the best. We didn't get to see Ha Long Bay, but the refund was very quick, and the "everything else" that you arranged for us was just excellent. I should also say that BC Family Tours did also offer us alternative tours instead of Ha Long due to the typhoon, but we'd already done "outside Hanoi" so we didn't take them up on that offer. But I'd strongly recommend BC Family Tours.

I booked a tour to Halong bay with BC Family Tour in the last minute. We arrived Hanoi in the late evening and decided to Halong bay the next day because we had a short time. Almost companies were closed or didn't answer my request. However, the staff from BC Family Tour responsed us via WhatsApp immediately, I can book my trip...yesss... We had a chance to experience one of the most beautiful natural place in the world - Halong bay. Amazing Halong Bay!!! Transfers is ok, tour guide is good, meals is delicious and nice day boat. Thank so much for all arrangement and definitely will come back again to do overnight on cruise in Halong or 3-day Halong Bay cruise and Cat Ba Island with my family. Highly recommended!

The only negative I have is that the place was hard to find to catch the bus, make sure you check it out the night before so you know exactly where you going to meet the bus the next morning! But what a great experience we had, great guide, easy experience with breathtaking views of the bay! Highly recommend! Amazing value for money!

We have gone on holiday for our Wedding Anniversary, but this is the only one that blew me away. From the limo service, to the suite room decor, the complimentary wine, and the best of it all--- the Serenade after dinner complete with the works. In our 21 years of togetherness, and the many hotels we stayed in, our Aprhodite in Halong Bay is the best. Ever. It is a 17 cabin luxury ship with wooden interiors that made me feel I am on land. The activities were properly spaced, always on time and always fun. The food we were served were first class, I loved everything with Passion Fruit. We had the suite room which has a jacuzzi. We loved the entire experience and definitely recommend this for couples. We definitely love the personalized service and hospitality.

Our tour guide Dragon was so handsome he distracted me from the sights. But on the real, the trip was really good! The food was good, and the best part was the kayaking. The beach/mountain and rock cave were nice but really crowded (which wasn’t really their fault because it’s hard to explore all of halong bay in just one day, so all the reachable destinations are crowded). Overall very good experience, would definitely come back to halong bay.

We did the day trip through indochina tours, recommended by our hotel (Sofitel metropole). This was the way to go - private car picked us up from hotel and drive us out to Ha Long Bay, where we were dropped at the port to meet our boat captain and three other travelers to make our group 6. The boat included a fabulous lunch of 7 or 8 different dishes. Had a clean bathroom and plenty to drink. They toured ya through the less popular portion of the bay (Bai Long) which was nice since we warned about over-crowdedness and trash in the main part. We stopped at a cave, beach, and paddled kayaks. This tour keeps you away from the commercialized spots for a really pleasant day! Definitely would recommend!! It’s a long day though going to and from Hanoi (4 hours each way)- although most time is spent lounging on the boat.

Halong Bay is stunning and can’t be missed weather you do a day trip, overnight trip or even a few days. I did a day trip but would recommend probably a couple of days as in a day trip it can get very busy and certain points so if I had the choice I would do it over two days. There are many prices for this day trip but expect to pay anything from $35 to $60 defending on how good you can negotiate a deal :-) Enjoy and safe travels.

Ha long bay is a beautiful place to visit. With this weather (January) it could get very cold. Our tourist guide was a fantastic person. Boat ride and cave hopping with a child age 2yr+ is not a problem. Worth the visit.
