Not great. One audio didn’t work so we had one between us. The audio didn’t match the places we were passing and some of the places we couldn’t see from the bus so had no idea what we were looking at. We drove past most things too quickly to see if they were interesting. One passenger spent half the trip on speaker phone, shouting loudly and showing his friend everything he could see. Glad to get off and get some peace.

Great service. Some buses need a little maintenance but generally fine. Audio system is good with some commentary on the area and upcoming sites.
Very lousy service indeed, bus not stops for getting out same while passing locations. Avoid this service waste of time and money!
This was a terrible experience. There was NO narration of the sites. They gave us earphones but only music played. (The same awful song over and over.) We complained. The guide said “broken.” We wanted to sit inside the bus for air conditioning. It was barely on. It was too hot to sit outside. We got off after 3 stops. It was a HUGE waste of money. Not all “Hop on Hop Off” busses are the same company. The one in Singapore was awesome and so that’s what we expected. BIG WASTE of time and money.
We rode this bus around Hanoi old quarter and thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the top deck with the cool wind blowing our faces We felt safe and the commentary provided via headphones in your selected language was very educational There weren’t many people on the bus You could hop off at certain landmarks for a better look and then hop back on The bus can be easily booked in person near the lake and the bus park is close by
Poor. Wasted the 4hrs waiting for a pick up.
Difficult to match up the commentary with the sights, didn't align or cut off part way through. Still a good way to see the area but could do better.
It is a great way to see the city. My only advice is to go either early in the morning or mid day. I went around 4:30pm and the bus got stuck in traffic. There were places where we would be stuck in traffic for 10-15 minutes. All in all a great way to spend a few hours.
Hi we went on this tour which was about an hour plus with lots of stops and an audio guide, earplugs were provided. The information provided was ok. The bus was ok and was clean .
We had a lovely tour around Hanoi on the Hop On, Hop Off Bus. We got to enjoy the sights without having to drive. The onboard commentary was useful and informative.
I always take a hop on hop off bus whenever I arrive in a new city. It’s a great way to get acquainted with a new city. Which one should take on your first or second day. One small issue when I presented my booking to the booking office as it took them about 30 minutes to try and work out and confirm that I actually booked it and that my booking was real. This is something that Viator should take up with this operator.
My Mum 74 in a wheelchair hopped on this red tour bus. The young man working for the company was very friendly, spoke and understood English well. He helped my mum on the bus offered water. We started down stairs but you had more fun upstairs. We managed to get Mum up stairs and was given hats and head phones listen to audio in your language about the wonderful history of Hanoi. There is so much to see and enjoy we went around 3 times. The bus driver was very good driver and gave us a friendly wave goodbye. The bus tickets are valid for 24hrs. There is no ramp for wheel access. We had to help mum on and off. The driver was very patient. Wear sunscreen as it gets hot on the open roof.
Everyone is given earphone and Vietnamese hat, during the bus tour commentry can be heard in different languages. To see the places closely one can get off at a point and will be picked up after 30 minutes. Bus tour covers 14 places and almost all main streets.
I normally love doing the hop on hop off buses, so I can get a overview of attractions & see which ones I am interested in without a booked tour guide. The Hanoi one was a bit disappointing due mainly to the commentary not being in sync with where we were up too. "On your left is the !!" 2 streets before we actually got there.
Once on board the crew were great and the tour was informative and interesting. However we missed 4 hours of the tour trying to locate the pick up stops at the Ho Choi Min museum and the Prison. Once we located the stop at the Prison two bus waived us off and drove by. It was a frustrating experience. Would not recommend.
Fantastic way to experience an overview of Hanoi. Pleasant itinerary and route and Janoi truly is a magical city with beautiful sites. Worth every moment!
Nice way to see the city! The bus was clean and comfortable. The audio was insightful although not always in sync with the location of the bus
We have done several hop on, hop off bus tours and have found them to be a great way to explore a new place. This was the worst we have ever experienced. Several windows were broken on the first bus and it was very dirty and the audio didn’t work on the second bus which made it useless to us. The buses did not stay on schedule and after waiting for one to arrive for 20 minutes past the scheduled time, we gave up and walked. I would not recommend this tour bus operator!
We were only in Hanoi for a couple of days and so thought this would be a great way to see the city. This is a worthwhile experience and you can get On and off as many times as you like. We got the 24hrs ticket, NOTE at the weekend the route does slightly change. And there can be a little walk from the bus stops to certain destinations. But over all a good way to get around.
Not recommended. Drives too rarely. Long waiting times. Stops hard to find.
There are differences between tickets If you select the ticket for 4 hours, you are denied the seat above. It's too bad. I wouldn't recommend it.
