Melody and the team gave a wonderful hospitality, looking forward to to travelling with them again in the future , super experience
Incredible scenery! The boat is large and comfortable with a covered deck on the first floor, where you can relax with a cold beer and the wind in your hair. Our tour guide Melody was exceptional, keeping enthusiasm high and making sure we were comfortable the entire time. She also patiently helped each and every person with photos and made sure vegan/vegetarian options were available for those that wanted it. Water is available only in cans, and is somewhat expensive. Have to carry a reusable bottle with water as single use plastics are not allowed.
Thank for the beautiful day in Halong bay with so much fun, i had good shuttle bus pick us from Hanoi at 8am and reach halong by 11:30am. Had delicious lunch on cruise with friendly staff, and very knowledgeable tour guide Tiger. Beach is clean and cave is very good view.
We had an amazing experience. Our guide Mr Son was really funny and kind. overall the tour was really fun, thank you for providing this experience.
Overall good trip. Our guide Mr Luca was prompt, spoke good English, courteous. The whole trip could be optimized such that the travel time from Hanoi to pier and vice versa is reduced and extra time.utilized during the trip. Both speed boat and bamboo boat is NOT worth the price charged. An alternative could be the vietnamese boat which was shown in some of the websites. Bamboo boat could be scrapped completely.
I had participating in a one-day Halong Bay tour, and I must say, our guide, Son, truly enhanced the experience. He was so funny and good at his job. He ensured we visited all the attractions before they became crowded. Additionally, his skills as a photographer were an added bonus. The lunch provided was enjoyable. The Surprise Cave exceeded our expectations
I booked a Star Cruise trip from Singapore to Phuket and back in May 2025. The ship was the Star Voyager. Ship was old though quite well maintained. I had booked a balcony cabin and expected it to be fairly comfortable. However the bed was actually a large fold out sofa bed with a hard wire frame. It had been padded fairly well with several layers of mattress protectors but it was still very hard to sleep on. Worse, the bed was not fully flat. The Bed head end was tilted up at an angle & I just couldn’t get it to lie flat. It was impossible to sleep with our heads at an angle & we resorted to sleeping with our heads at the foot of the bed instead. The balcony door handle on the exterior was rusted & had come loose at one end. Worse was the arrival time at Phuket. It was about 1600 hrs Phuket time. By the time the ferries were arranged and crowd control for the boarding was carried out it was about 1740 hrs Phuket time. So far all the minor niggles were tolerable. However I found out that instead of anchoring the ship off Patong Beach- which many other cruise lines do, Star Cruises had arranged to anchor off the Thai Customs jetty on the South Eastern corner of Phuket. Patong Beach is at the Western coastline of Phuket. Google Maps showed the distance from this Customs Jetty to Patong Beach to be 22km and between 44-50 mins by road. The taxi drivers were quoting THB 2500/- to drive us to Patong & THB 2000/- to get us to Phuket Town-20 mins away. Also because of the hour and rain, it was estimated to be 1 hr 30 mins to get to Patong Beach & another 1.5 hours to get back. I was so upset with this dumb decision that I turned right back onto the ferry to get back onboard. Phuket was the only stopover on this cruise and it was far far from Pating Beach with the food drink & nightlife. Who the heck benefitted from this stupid decision? It certainly was NOT the hundreds of holiday makers who wanted to visit Phuket. We were way out in the boondocks & were all set to be gouged for transport to and from the tourist hotspots of Phuket. I will ever again go on a Star Cruise to Phuket if this really dumb arrangement persists.
Everything was perfect, except the weather. Unlucky… very friendly and funny tourguide. Stressfree but exhaustingvtrip
Amazing tour with Happy . Super knowledgeable, fun, and engaging. We learned so much and had a fantastic time. Highly recommend!
Alan, a fantastic tour guide with a sense of humour. Amazing experience! Highly recommend going on your Ha long tour with him! He's nicknamed Mr. Handsome💯
My husband and I had an amazing experience with Wego Halong Cruise on our recent day trip to Halong Bay! From start to finish, everything was well-organized, and the team went above and beyond to make the journey enjoyable. The cruise itself was clean, comfortable, and spacious, offering breathtaking views of the bay’s stunning limestone formations. The itinerary was well-planned, giving us enough time to explore Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave, Ti Top Island, and Luon Cave (for kayaking or bamboo boat rides). Our tour guide, Luca, was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the history and culture of the area. I highly recommend Wego Halong Cruise to anyone looking for a well-organized, fun, and unforgettable day trip to Halong Bay.
We started from Hanoi in morning, had lunch on cruise boat at noon. The travel way to Ha Long Bay is scenic and we got to learn perl making and oyester farming on the way. Mr. Thinh was our guide, he was helpful, kept us entertained and engaged throughout the day. We shared great details and fun jokes on the way. In cruise boat, hospitality was awesome, we did Bamboo boat ride, visit to Ti Top island, beaches. Worth every penny! Full of memories.
If you’re visiting Ha Long Bay, I highly recommend booking a tour with Happy. It was an unforgettable experience, and I can’t wait to come back and explore more with them! Thank you, Happy, for making our trip so special!
The tour was excellent! We had a great time with Happy as our guide. He is very friendly and also a very good photographer. He did a lot of beautiful pics for us. The next time I’ll bring my family together.
Enjoyed the cruise and all the activities of hiking, seeing the stagelmites formations in caves while being entertained by our friendly guide Victor. Thanks for the fun and informative experience.
Views were very nice. Perfect sunset moment for photos. Ben the tour guide was very helpful with our pickup transfer from our cruise ship to the boat tour.

The trip was amazing and unforgetful! The team was amazing, the food was good, the boat ride was smooth and the sight was magical. Ha Long Bay is a must-see!!! Also a big thank you to Thinh (Tiger), for being such an excellent guide and made the journey smooth, informative and comfortable 💯💯!
Ha long bay is really beautiful (crowded but wonderful) and Victor was an amazing guide and everything went smoothly. I really loved how ha long bay is taken care of (no plastic bottle on the trip)!
The tour was really enjoying and also interactive because of Alan Tourguide. The tour didn't only satisfied our eyes with the view of Halong Bay, but also gave us some trivias and interesting informations about the Halong Bay. Alan allowed us to us use our imagination while walking inside the cave which we think is a good move so tourists appreciate the tour. The cruise experience is also excellent because the boat is big and exclusive to us only. Also it's ambiance make you feel really relaxed plus the crew were nice. The food they served are also delicious, tasty, and has variety that will make you want to eat more. I personally lijed the vegetable dishes.
The trip was great overall. From picking us up in Hanoi until we had lunch on the Cruise. The crews were also kind. Great food. I also wanna have this separate note to thank our guide Tyson (Thai). He seem passionate with his job. He smiles a lot during the trip. He made the tour so fun I didnt notice that I was tired (cause I enjoyed the tour very much). He knows what he is doing as a guide. He speaks and understands English which makes it easy for me to ask questions during the trip. Thank you Ty. Hope you can read this
Alan the tour guide is very good, very accomodating and helpful. The food is superb and tasty and yummy. Thanks Halong Bay thanks sir Alan thank you vietnam
I loved the tour, we were a very fun group and the views and nature of ha long bay are amazing. what made the tour really special though is our tour guide Victor with his amazing personality, so friendly, funny, always smiling and very knowledgeable
So much fun! Victor specifically was fantastic I cannot recommend the tour enough The location was superb and the company was even better
My trip was very good and our tour guide Alan was the best tour guide among them . I will recommend him for anyone who sees my review
The whole experience was phenomenal! We loved every bit of it. And Alan our tour guide made it all even better. Definitely gonna recommend Alan as a tour guide. He is as much funny as he is helpful. The views were great the food was good. We did 3 activists and enjoyed them all. If we can we will visit agani and book tours the same way we did this time...
We chose Route 1 but due to insufficient participants, we were changed to Route 2 at no extra cost. Halong Bay is a must visit place when in Hanoi. What makes it more memorable and pleasant is the tour agent that we signed with were very pleasant and professional indeed. I received a message a day before to inform us about the change in Route and if we did not want to join, they will refund us. Due to sufficient time given, we were able to discuss with our group of 5 and decided to join the Route 2 Tour. Luca was our tour leader that day. He was knowledgeable, polite and always ensure that we were ok. He messaged us on their way to pick us up from the hotel and when in the bus he explained clearly to everyone the activities for the day as it was going to be a long day. We were grateful for having him that day.
Marvelous is definitely not enough to describe how wonderful and well organized the tour was Tyson. The sceneries were unique and breathtaking, the locals were extremely kind and friendly. The tour was allowed few days only after typhoon yagi hit the area. Great & fast recovery & clean up. I strongly recommend boarding with Tyson on this wonderful & incredible journey.
Our tour guide Binh was excellent at trying to keep everyone punctual and orderly with the tour timeline. We got so much done in the trip for the little time we have there for the day (the drive to Ha Long Bay from Hanoi takes around 3 hrs). Thank you!
It’s worth every penny. The food was great with variety of choice. Ha Long Bay itself aready breathtaking, plus with the cruise made it become the best experience. The tourguide also very nice, he shown us many interesting thing.
The tour is good. The weather is great. The food is nice. The guide Toan is wonderful. Very organised and very funny. The cave is amazing. You must see Ha Long Bay to appreciate it
Our tour guide Kenny is awesome! He is friendly, hilarious and able to communicate in English. Lunch included in the package is good.
View is amazing and tour guide is superb! Recommended for small group traveller. Please don’t bring kids. View is amazing and tour guide is superb! Recommended for small group traveller. Please don’t bring kids
I had a great day in Halong bay. The scenery was wonderful and I took a lot of pictures. We did three activities: hiking to the top of the island, rowing boat trip and visiting the Amazing cave. Lunch was delicious and my tour guide Ms. Thao was so nice and helpful. I really recommend this tour company for Halong bay one day trip
The views were amazing! Everyone was friendly and great fun was had. There was a variety of food on the cruise and they were delicious.
The view was amazing we took so many photos along with that tiger the tour guide was so cool really fluent with english language very professional knows every detail about ha long bay over all 5 star
A great natural wonder of the world experience . Along with that Mr. Toan our tour guide was fantastic and was very helpful and explained every little details of the culture and history of halong. 10 on 10. Would recommend my friends and family too.
Our tour was supposedly a basic one with set lunch menu. However we ended up with other tour groups on the boat and had a lunch buffet instead which was good. Drinks were not included but overall still a good meal. The activities were at the right amount of time. We paid for bamboo boat and kayaking at 60k Dong each. It was fun. On the way back, we had a sunset party where fruits and drinks were served. Overall a great experience. I highly recommend.
The trip was great and very well organised. Our tour guide Tiger made us feel very homely and was very friendly. The views were best part of the day. Highly recommended
The views were amazing and the trip was well organised. Our tour guide Tiger made us feel very homely. Highly recommended!
Our tour guide Luca is very nice and helpful. He took good care of us on the trip and also gave us some helpful recommendations for restaurants and places to go. Will definitely join other tours in this travel agency next time.
Everything went beautifully. The cruise was very comfortable, nice big rooms and bathroom. Food was excellent. Tours around very pretty and peaceful. Canoeing was my favourite. Recommend to do this cruise.
Great experience and the tour guide was super friendly and very accommodating. Had good vegan options for lunch and they communicated really well throughout. I am bit claustrophobic and was not sure I can go through one of the caves but the team messaged throughout the passage and reassured that they can turn the boat around and pick me up from where they dropped us off so I don’t have to go through it. I managed to pull myself together and did it but it was great to see how much they care about their customers and how accommodating they are.
It was very easy to book this tour from our hotel in Hanoi and they helped us secure a taxi at the end of the tour, even though we were the only ones staying in Halong Bay that night. The bus was about an hour late picking us up, but we found out when they arrived that there had been an accident on a bridge that had slowed them up for quite some time. The bus was clean and relatively spacious, with enough room under the seats for my legs (I'm about 1.8m) and a backpack, which was a pleasant surprise. The tour guide, Ivan, was personable and funny and knew when it was time to just let us rest and relax. We stopped about 2 hours in for a restroom break and then continued on to the port at Tuan Chau Island. We set sail and they almost immediately served the food for the day, all of which was quite good but most especially the fish. The hike through the cave was pretty cool and there were well worn, man-made stairs and steps throughout. The artificial lights in the cave took away from the experience a bit, but they created some nice shadow play and the colors were nice. The view looking out over the bay was much nicer than the one down in the caves, but you couldn't get the bay view without trekking through the caves. From the caves we went to Titov Island and had about an hour to swim, lay on the beach, or hike to the top of the short island peak. We opted to stay on the beach and it was busy, but not stuffy. We had plenty of space to swim and cool off in the water without worrying about somebody in our space. Just like the ride out, the ride in was uneventful and smooth with plenty of beautiful scenery as we sailed between the lime stone islets as the sun fell in the evening sky. The caves could have been more exciting, the beach could have been nicer, but we got what we paid for and the staff and crew were all helpful. Would recommend.
First of all, Ha long bay is worth it. It's not breathtaking by any means, but worth it. Trip itself is a little bit tiring. 2 days would probably be better. When it comes to the guide and the company itself I had some issues. First of all the guide wasn't completely honest. He told us just before going to the bay not to bring water in plastic bottles cause we will be searched and would have to throw them away anyway. It turned out there wasn't any searching so we were without water for the rest of the day. People who didn't listen to the guide enjoyed their water with no problem. Of course they were constantly bringing coca-cola and so on which you had to pay for. :) Secondly just before leaving the bay I asked the guide if we were leaving right away, he said yes and then we stayed in a bus for 20 minutes. Because of that I was craving the toilet for 2 hours which was exhausting. Another big issue is the food. They give you launch at around 1pm which is ok but after 4 hours they give you the smallest cake in the world without any nutrition value. Basically if you are an average man prepare to be constantly hungry.
It’s an amazing trip, with a lovely team. They are Very accommodating and knowledgable. They are friendly as well. Everything is organised and handled so well. Im happy with the service we received. Only thing I can point of is our boat paddler in the bamboo boat, we just stayed for few minutes and paddled us back to the port so quick, we asked if he can go further and he said “no” even if we can see other boats are in that side. Other thing is, because they’re so friendly and accommodating, they allow one passenger to stop by again in the pearl shop on our way home, without asking the other passenger, thinking that maybe others have some another agenda on the same day, i found it a waste of time, as when we reached Hanoi we rushed to our booked dinner.
Fantastic place very beautifully managed by S Central Team…I give them a thumbs up for the beautiful time 8 spent in the place….Their rates are very very genuine with highly trained & professional tour guide…
We were pickles up at our hotel in Hanoi and the guides Minh and Phong were really nice. Busride was smooth and the trip with the boat was good. Seafood lunch was decent, and the surroundings in Halong Bay very beautiful. The Cave visit was OK, and the kajaking was really nice. What sturred the picture was the hundreds of other tourboats and thousands of other tourists on especially Tip Toe Island, and all the garbich in the water. Sorry to see that.
Though the place is nice, but the time given is very tight and the tour guide was very mean to the guests if they arrive just on time or 1 minute late, they will leave the dock and return back to pick up the guests and yelled at them asking for big fines up to 200.000 Dong each person to be given to the captain of the boat. The tour guide even put the late guests on “walk of shame” in front of everyone on a very loud voice. I don’t know if this is a Vietnamese culture, but that’s not a good way to treat international guests as they come from so various places wifh different cultures.
