I had originally booked the Hermes Cruise through Klook, but unfortunately, it turned out to be fully booked. That’s when MADDIE from SST Travel stepped in and reached out to me with an alternative—CALISTA Cruise. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical at first since it wasn’t what I had initially planned, but this turned out to be the absolute highlight of our trip! MADDIE ensured that every single one of our requirements was taken care of—from a room with a balcony, a bathtub, and access to a pool, to making sure our vegetarian food preferences were properly accommodated. Her attention to detail and proactive communication instantly put us at ease. The cruise experience itself was nothing short of magical. From the smooth pickup to the warm welcome onboard, everything was flawlessly organized. The lunch was fantastic, and we truly appreciated the special effort taken to provide separate vegetarian food options for us. All the cruise activities, including kayaking and the visit to the pearl farm, were very well planned, with the perfect balance of engagement and leisure time. It never felt rushed, which made the experience even more enjoyable. What truly made this experience unforgettable was how beautifully the Calista team celebrated our ANNIVERSARY. They arranged a special 4-course meal for us at a beautifully decorated table, creating such a romantic ambiance. Overall, everything was exceptionally well planned, and the level of hospitality was outstanding. Every guest was treated with care, and all needs were thoughtfully taken care of. We were transferred from Hanoi city for our 2 day cruise. All staff were very professional and the limousine bus was luxurious.

We booked our cruise experience from Ha Long and not Hanoi so we had to make our own way to Tuan Chau International Marina. We rod the Apollo Cruise. The experience overall was great and very smooth thanks to Aaron & Linh. Aaron reached out a day before and provided us with information and was very helpful. Linh was our cool tour guide for our group. At the cave, you also get a FREE key-chain gift which is nice. COST: We booked our experience on Trip.com and paid £26.39. This did NOT include the cost for the speed boat (250,000VND per person & 20min ride) or the Kayaking/bamboo boat (50,000VND per person (kayaking - 30mins ride/ bamboo boat - 15mins ride). DURATION: We sailed off around 12 noon and returned back around 17:45~18:00. FOOD: There was an open buffet on board and that was served first after we set off from the marina. You had a selection of vegetables, fish & chicken as well as fruit. After this, the next time we got fed was around 17:00 & this was red wine, tea, prawn crackers and fruit. These were all included in the package. What's not included is if you want to buy drinks. Also, single use plastic water bottles are not allowed BUT you can take your re-fillable water bottles. (This logic didn't make sense to me personally as there are SO many other single use plastics around eg. Plastic bags, plastic wrapping etc).

It is the first time we family travel to hanoi and make booking by ourselves. The booking operator replied promptly. The tour guide liaise closely. The overall service in the ambassador cruise is quite good. We feel comfortable for the trip.

Booked Aqua of the Seas thru Klook but it turned out to be sold out. Mikey with SST travel helped us upgrade to the Aqua Luxury Cruise and guided us the whole way, from limousine van pickup from Hanoi and back from the wonderful cruise. Amazing views of Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay. Great service and food at Aqua Luxury Cruise!

My wife and I recently did the 2 Days 1 Night Athena Cruise in Ha Long Bay, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Booking this cruise was honestly a bit of a coincidence. Originally, we wanted to book the Pioneer cruise on Klook, but the travel agency told us that all the administrative cabins were fully booked and we had to switch to another cruise. That’s how we ended up choosing Catherine Cruise. Huge thanks to Aaron from the travel agency for his prompt assistance. He provided real-time help via WhatsApp, which made it possible for us to experience such an amazing cruise. The price was 6,200,000 VND. It’s on the higher side, but I truly think it was worth it. Our family and friends were all very satisfied, and the two days were packed with activities and experiences. Below is our overall review. Food There are a total of four meals. First meal – Lunch (buffet): The seafood was pretty good. The shrimp were fresh and all-you-can-eat. There were also options like mantis shrimp and squid. Unlimited pho is a must-have and was available as well. The hot dishes were decent and standard. Vegetarian options were available, though limited. Desserts were pre-set small cakes. The only part I didn’t really like was the soup—seaweed soup and a thick Vietnamese-style soup. Vietnamese soups tend to be really thick… All drinks on board are paid, except for the bottled water in the room, which is free. Second meal – Dinner (set menu): From appetizer to dessert, everyone gets the same courses. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, you can inform the staff in advance. The main course that day was beef, but it was cooked a bit too well-done. The appetizers were okay from what I remember. If it’s your birthday or a special anniversary, they’ll also prepare a cake for celebration. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy, and there was even a live flute performance during dinner, which was a really thoughtful touch. Third meal – Basic breakfast: Breakfast starts very early, around 6:30 a.m., probably to match the Tai Chi activity schedule. The selection was similar to a regular hotel breakfast, and yes—unlimited pho again. Fourth meal – Brunch: This was breakfast plus some additional hot dishes. I remember the beef stewed in red wine being especially delicious. Around 11:00 a.m., we prepared to disembark. Itinerary Honestly, the itinerary was extremely packed—so packed that we were completely exhausted on the first night. That was the only activity we didn’t participate in. On the first day, we visited Surprise Cave and Titop Island. If you go on a weekend, the crowd at Surprise Cave can be quite overwhelming. On weekdays, there are still many tourists, but it’s not to the point where you can’t take photos. At Titop Island, you can hike to the top. If you don’t want to hike, you can stay on the beach to play ball games or just lie down and sunbathe. Before dinner, there’s a spring roll activity. Although it’s called a cooking activity, professional chefs actually help prepare everything. And it’s not the traditional spring roll you might imagine—it’s more like a taco (kind of?). At night, there’s supposed to be a squid fishing activity, but we were way too tired to join. On the second day, we visited Luon Cave, where you can kayak or take a small boat inside. You’ll see lots of monkeys there. Catherine Cruise does not provide monkey-feeding activities, which I think is a very good thing. We saw other cruise companies feeding monkeys, which was pretty awful. That’s roughly the itinerary. You can also refer to the photos and the official itinerary provided by the company. Lastly, although drinks are not free, the prices of canned drinks in the minibar are quite reasonable. A Coke costs 49,000 VND, which is not as expensive as I expected.

The tour arranged by Maddie is super high quality that is even better than a lot of bugger cruises and hotels, and also worth the price (Grand Pioneer Cruise)!! She helped me compared the price and super easy to reach and professional to make sure everything is okay and smooth. For the cruise, the service and passion of the staffs are really contagious and made us having a great time visiting Ha Long Bay and you can be selective of activities (joining tour or choose to just stay and chill), nothing forceful and everything is genuine. Definitely a great choice to choose if you’re unsure which cruise is good or family/beginner friendly, this would be your best choice to see Ha Long Bay.

Zero friction, which is exactly what you want on a short getaway. Once onboard, the cruise itself was clean, modern, and well maintained, with spacious cabins, comfortable beds, and large windows that made the most of the scenery. The boat felt calm and well managed, not crowded or chaotic. Our cruise guide, Tony, was outstanding. Knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely engaging, he struck the perfect balance between being informative and letting guests relax and enjoy the experience. He clearly knew the bay well and added real value to the trip. Meals were excellent, with generous portions and a good mix of Vietnamese and international cuisine. Dining while cruising through the limestone karsts was a highlight in itself. Activities such as kayaking and cave visits were well paced and thoughtfully scheduled, never rushed, and the overnight stay on the bay was peaceful and unforgettable—especially sunset and sunrise. Bottom line This was a professionally run, high-quality Ha Long Bay cruise that delivered exactly what it promised. Credit to Mikey for the organisation and Tony for the onboard experience. It was a great journey. First of all, the Alisa cruise we originally booked was full, but the service staff KHNAH quickly helped us change to a similar Athena cruise, so that we could interview Ha Long Bay as scheduled. During the 2D1N trip, the service staff on board were very friendly and professional, and you could enjoy the whole journey comfortably. Although the unit price is not cheap, we think it is worth it. If there is a chance, we will want to go there again. The only small drawback is probably that I can't catch any squid at night🤣. If it can arrange other fishing trips, it should be perfect.
