A vintage Jeep creates a completely different atmosphere compared with traveling in a modern tourist vehicle. The open-air feeling allows visitors to enjoy the surrounding scenery more directly, especially when passing through rural roads and small villages. The journey through the Red River Delta is particularly appealing for travelers who enjoy photography and discovering places outside the usual tourist areas. It is a memorable concept for anyone wanting something different from a standard city tour.

Itinerary
Our team will pick you up from your hotel in the Old Quarter and start the journey. We will leave the busy streets behind, heading through Hanoi's outskirts and into the peaceful countryside.
Cross the bridge over the Red River to enter the tranquil countryside, where you'll explore rural villages. Visit expansive rice paddies, interact with local farmers, and learn about daily life in this area.
Stop at a local market to observe and experience the trade activities of the villagers, providing insight into the region's culture and economy. Discover Vietnam’s history by visiting the An Duong Vuong Temple (also known as Co Loa Temple), dedicated to the king who founded the country in 247 BC. Your guide will explain the historical significance of this ancient site. Continue your journey to a local farm where you’ll visit a family-run fruit farm. Here, you can enjoy freshly picked tropical fruits while learning more about the lifestyle of local farmers.
As the tour concludes, enjoy a scenic drive back to Hanoi along the Red River, passing by more beautiful rice fields. After lunch (for the morning tour), we’ll return you to your hotel.

Reviews
Many visitors spend most of their time exploring Hanoi's Old Quarter, temples, and famous landmarks. However, the surrounding countryside offers another perspective on the region. The Red River Delta is full of interesting rural landscapes and traditional communities. Exploring beyond the city helps travelers understand more about the history and daily life of northern Vietnam. A Jeep journey is an appealing way to make that discovery more adventurous.
Exploring the Red River Delta by Jeep offers a unique perspective on Vietnam. The visit to the Co Loa Ancient Citadel was particularly fascinating, adding a historical dimension to the rural excursion. I really appreciated the combination of traveling through the countryside and learning about local heritage along the way. This trip is well worth considering if you have an interest in history and culture, and wish to explore places beyond the main tourist hubs.
The appeal of this trip lies in the balance between the journey itself and the destinations visited. As you travel through the Red River Delta, you can immerse yourself in the peaceful rural landscape, while a stop at the Co Loa Ancient Citadel offers a chance to learn about local history. The vintage Jeep itself adds a unique and exhilarating element to the experience. For travelers who enjoy discovering a destination through direct observation..
When considering a tour like this, I look for more than just an unconventional mode of transport. What makes this experience so appealing is the blend of the Jeep ride itself, the scenic route through the countryside, and the opportunity to learn about local heritage. The inclusion of the Co Loa archaeological site adds a layer of historical significance, transforming the trip into something far more meaningful than a simple drive around the outskirts. It is a well-balanced experience for travelers interested in both beautiful scenery and history
Our guide Justin was really kind and jolly.
A fantastic experience with an unbeatable guide (Justin). Highly recommended for families.
Super! We spent a fantastic morning, combining local experience and knowledgeable guide (Justin). We felt so immersed and fun!!! We got to visit the real life but also to be transported in history. Justin ( and Happy, the driver) were super caring and nice. 100% recommended. And!!! It has a delicious and historical hidden gem at the end!!!
Really friendly guide showing us all of the sites and answering our questions really well. Thank you for a great tour would really recommend booking
Excellent tour in an old Soviet era jeep. We went to a rice farm and learned about the history of planting by hand. Then off to a local market. Fascinating watching the locals get their fresh produce. We bought some of the most amazing grapes. Then into a temple and a museum, before returning to Hà Nội for lunch. Buncha and Vietnamese coffee, a taste sensation. Min is an excellent guide that really makes the experience awesome. The driver was also amazing in the chaotic traffic in the city

If you want to get away from the usual tourist traps and see what life along the Red River is really like, this Jeep tour is a must. Riding in an open-air vintage Jeep is an experience in itself—feeling the breeze, taking in the sights, and navigating the bustling streets of Hanoi was incredibly exhilarating. Our tour took us right into the heart of the countryside and the local communities surrounding the river. We cruised through lush banana plantations, visited quiet local villages, and saw an entirely different, peaceful side of the city that most travelers miss completely. The guides were fantastic—super knowledgeable, safe drivers, and they shared great insights into the history and culture of the area. We also stopped for some local coffee and snacks, which was the perfect touch. If you want an authentic, fun, and slightly adventurous look at Hanoi beyond the Old Quarter, do not hesitate to book this. Incredible value and unforgettable memories! Justin was brilliant as our tour guide.
Minh explained well and had patience with us

Bread hyvä opas, iloinen ja avulias.
The red river jeep tour was a great experience. The jeep rattled and bumped along, with much crashing of gears, all adding to the more relaxed atmosphere the tour creates, travelling as it does out of the mad bustle of Hanoi into the countryside near the red river. The guides (we had two, Duy and a trainee guide) were both very engaging and engaged, with lots of interesting information shared, about the tour, but also about themselves, which really helps achieve a feel for the local people and culture. We saw villages and fields, and stopped at the old citadel which was once the capital. Three stops were included for lunch, for cold drinks, and finally for coffee. I highly recommend this tour.
The Jeep tour through the Red River Delta was such a refreshing escape from the city buzz. Our guide was amazing—knowledgeable and friendly. We had an incredible tour exploring the countryside around Hanoi. The vast rice fields of the Red River Delta were breathtaking, offering a peaceful contrast to the city’s hustle and bustle. Cổ Loa, with its ancient citadel and rich history, was a fascinating glimpse into Vietnam’s past. One of the highlights was visiting a local vegetable and fruit garden, where we learned about traditional farming methods and even got to taste fresh produce. Our guide Tom was friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable. A must-do tour for those who love nature and history!
