I had a wonderful timevworh Ha tonight. He took me to some really authentic restaurants to try dishes I gad never had before. All of them were delicious and he had stories and details about each one that made it all feel special. He was respectful of how much we were getting and wanted me to try everything without getting too full. I highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to have Ha as your guide it's a real bonus! A real highlight 😍
Today we did the Hanoi Cyclo tour with Messi (the Goat)! It was a great experience. He was extremely knowledge about Vietnam, Hanoi and the culture and he also had a great sense of humor. We have lots of little bits of info about Hanoi to take home to our family and friends.
We had an amazing time on this tour, and it was the perfect way to spend our first day in Hanoi. Charlie was exceptionally warm, friendly, and knowledgeable, and he made the experience very fun. He explained elements of Vietnamese culture and history very clearly and made us feel so welcome in the city.
The bicycle tour provided an incredible on the ground view of Hanoi, mingling with the locals, braving the chaotic traffic, embracing the sights, sounds, and smells, while our guide provided an interesting history lecture. Messi is a young, idealistic and chatty guide, who waxed lyrical about Ho Chi Minh and his country, while keeping us safe.
What an amazing way to start our trip to Vietnam! I honestly wasn't expecting too much fro this day, as it seemed very cheap and I presumed that Train Street would be crazy busy and we'd struggle to find a good spot for photos or somewhere to sit..Luckily our guide Quinn (more of her later!) had secured seating for us right on track side in a lovely little cafe/bar. After little chat and explanation of the area, we sat down to enjoy a few drinks that were included in the tour, soft drink and beers/cider are but not cocktails, which is more than fair as far as I'm concerned. The train slowly rumbled by at arms length and it was truly great to be that close, uncrowded and just left to relax and choose what you do in your own moment. After it had passed, we were at our own pace for photos etc before we headed off on our "Street food" tour, Again Quinn took the lead and with her bright, enthusiastic friendly and funny manner, off all 4 of us trotted after her, following her into what can only be described as "out of the way, hidden local gems", these are places that honestly we would walk past and either not notice, or probably be a bit scared to try, but safe to say everywhere she took us was amazing. Do note that there are 4 ,yes 4 stop on the way, so a word of advice, save some room :-) we especially enjoyed the self made wraps/spring rolls. After 4 stops we were all well and truly stuffed, the walks were short between and very manageable n the heat and humidity, this is a fantastic tour run by and exceptional bright young lady, her ability to read the groups ethos and blend in was genuinely charming and she felt like a friend rather than a guide, she's a credit to her company and to herself.
If you want to feel like you're exploring with a friend, or even your bestie, ask for Charlie! I'm traveling solo, and by the end of the tour it felt like I'd known him for years. He makes you feel completely comfortable, the conversations are fun and engaging, takes great pictures and he's incredibly knowledgeable about the food and the places you visit. I can't recommend him enough. He truly takes the experience to the next level. Thank you, Charlie!
Great tour guide named Thai highly recommend. Good English and well educated
Was first night in Vietnam and was ideal to introduce me to the food and see a small amount of Hanoi streets after arriving here The guide spoke very good English and gave other tips about my upcoming trips and taught me some basic Vietnamese
Our Guide Phuc Hung was the best I was just fascinated by how young and hardworking he is. He took out time to speak and explain about each street and important places. He was very patient, cooperative and explained and was an awesome guide. I highly recommend him. The street food was interesting to tey out. The train street was fun. Thank you
Wonderful experience. Very informative and friendly staff..Had a great afternoon 😁. It was with the Vintage vespa tours.
We had an amazing day with David! We walked around some of the highlights of the old quarter and he brought us to places we would have never gone to ourselves! 10/10 would do again.
Wood was great!!! He showed us all the hidden local gems all the food was great. If it wasn’t for him I would never even tried those places. I was only here for 13 hours and it was worth it. I recommend this food tour. Our group was super nice & friendly.
Once again we had the pleasure of a tour with Messi. This time the evening street food walking tour of Hanoi. This was really cool. Exploring the back streets and hidden kitchens off the main streets. Even found ourselves in a tiny little place that required our entry through a secret street. We enjoyed many small plates of local food. Each were different, but similar like a few wraps, but unique in style and flavour. We learned a lot and in the end ,we were full and very happy. Messi added so much cultural and historical context to the tour. He knew the recipes, the ingredients, the type and kinds of food and flavours and the regions it was all grown in. It was an awesome night out and a great learning experience. Thank you for a wonderful opportunity.
This was our first visit to Hanoi and we wanted a great experience. We certainly got it! We toured on the front of a trike while our guide, Messi, went ahead and met us at each stop on his scooter. Great Birds Eye view adventure of the traffic, sights and people. Messi was outstanding. He was polite, professional, knowledgeable and refreshing with his local knowledge and sense of humour. He speaks English extremely well and knows the spots to see. We would highly recommend Messi and his company to anyone who wants to learn and see the sights of this beautiful city.
Our Tren and Gastronómic Tour with Messi was amazing. This guy knows everything, everylocals. Very, very good. Thank you Messy
We did the Cyclo tour of Hanoi. It was the best fun and our tour guide Charlie made it so special for us. He was the most beautiful, warm and knowledgable person, a true treasure as a guide. We felt like we had known him all our lives. Nothing was too much trouble as he manoeuvred us around Hanoi. You must do a tour with him simply amazing individual.
Messi was the most fantastic guide! His knowledge of Hanoi and Vietnam is amazing as is his English. We stopped and had the best pho I’ve ever had and saw the sights of the city. I highly recommend Messi
At the first times, I tended to choose for having a jeep tour, but then I changed my mind and had a vespa tour and I never regret about my decision. My driver- tour guide Charlie is very friendly, informative and drive safely. He tell me about all sort of food. I have never tried before. I could say that when I’m back to my home, I could be overconfident to share for my old friend about all of these dishes I had they will be jealous to my experience highly recommend
