WOW, what a wonderfull time we doesn’t in Ha Long Bay and with Capella Cruises. Staff were fantastic and the food outstanding. We swam in the bay, paddle boarded , spring roll cooking demos and spring roll making competitions, so much to do and the scenery is something again. Be careful as we noted a lot of cruise boats out there and some looked like they should have retired years ago. Capella Cruises yiur guaranteed a great boat and Greta good and service

Highlight of our trip to Vietnam. Nature, peace and quiet considering large number of cruisers. The staff is outstanding as is the food. Wonderful large rooms with comfiest beds and sizeable bathroom. Happy hour 3 drinks for the price of 2 but you can get what you want. Opted for cocktails with friends👌🏻 Dinner was deliciousness after deliciousness, can’t even describe. They do cater to people with allergies. Swimming pool is not the largest but lots of fun as was the slide , you have to listen to crew as jelly fish sometimes present not the poisoning kind, but still. No issues on our cruise. Do it it’s fun
One of the best small cruise experiences I’ve had . It’s an all included cruise for 2 days that stands at emereld green waters of lan ha bay . The suites were brilliant & maintained. Food was just amazing. They took care of all our dietary needs & had a solution to all our wants . There’s a lot of activities to indulge in or you can just sit and chill at your private balcony . The part on the cruise was its slide . A must try & available only on a few cruises . 10/10 experience.
Wow...the whole adventure was amazing. The food was some of the best I've ever eaten, the staff were amazing, cruise manager Gin was really good and a huge shout-out to flora the server she was amazing, as my wife is gluten free. The sites visited were phenomenal The only bad thing was, it was too short
My husband, 13 year old son and I spent 2 nights aboard Capella's luxury cruise. The Indochina decor was truly beautiful, and we loved the spacious family suite that gave our teen some privacy, yet kept us connected as a family unit. We spent both afternoons lying on the bed just watching the beautiful Ha long Bay drift past. The food was absolutely exceptional. I have no idea how the kitchen team managed to produce such consistently excellent meals, day after day. Every dining experience was a highlight for all of us. The bike ride to Viet Hai Village was a highlight (and surprisingly easy - highly recommended, even for nervous cyclists). The afternoons were perfectly structured to chill out - kayaks, swimming, and water sports. The water slide proved a huge hit with both kids and adults. The service was nothing short of 5-star. The staff managed to be consistently present, attentive, and genuinely upbeat throughout our entire stay…..amazing given the demands of their work. With around 45 staff, i can only imagine their cramped quarters, yet they never let this show. Particular shout out to lovely Arthur who anticipated every need and brought humour and warmth to every interaction. Our son really loved Hue who was very kind and introduced him to mocktails… I hope we don’t live to regret that! What particularly impressed us was the crew actively encouraging us to help clean up the waters. Every kayaking trip brought back sacks of plastic and trash. It was really sad to see the extent of plastic waste, and I wish the government would take stronger action on plastic use. That said, Capella's efforts to raise awareness and take action was appreciated. Although the cruise is on the more expensive side, it's worth every cent. Highly recommended for families or couples of all ages and anyone seeking an unforgettable Halong Bay experience.
Capella Cruise was absolutely the right decision. The experience was calm, beautiful, and perfectly in sync with nature. The bay views were stunning, the food was excellent, and the staff were warm and attentive throughout. The cooking demonstration was a true highlight, made even more memorable by Dilou, whose wit, humor, and engaging personality brought so much energy to the experience. A special thanks to Cuc for the wonderful hospitality. I would happily return and bring my kids next time.
This was a blast!! It was an excellent way to end my travels in Vietnam. A calm, relaxing 2-day cruise was perfect. We could enjoy some caves, local culture, and then relax on the boat with drinks and beautiful views. Fab food, views. LOVELY staff with a special shout out to Evelyn! This ship was in amazing condition and appeared to be better equipped and nicer than others around, too. I will 100% join this adventure again!
great experience. Our room was in Deck 2. Loved all the meals our table waitress Flora was wonderful and attentive. Activities on board was good. Dark and bright caves is a must visit although it's a very early morning excursion but worth it. We were the first boat to arrive on Cat Ba Island with no crowds.
We looked forward to this part of our holidays the most. Pickup in Hanoi to the Halong in a Limo van was seamless with a toilet stop along the way. Once at the terminal you are transported quickly to the Capella where you are greeted warmly. We had 2 Sky Suite rooms which were beautiful. There are kyaks, a pool/slide, bar and lounge, but the stand out is the food. Dinner was exceptional, and the crew surprised us when they dropped the lights and came out singing happy birthday to my youngest daughter for her 21st which we loved. The crew go over and above and really made the trip special. Wish we could have stayed longer…
Beautiful boat trip. Great staff. Thanks to Smiley and Mr Dong for making it so memorable. The experience offers flexibility in taking part in activities on and off the boat or relaxing and taking in the beautiful views
It’s only one cruise with long water slide which directly bring u to sea water. It’s pleasant rooms .. actually perfect for small family nice balcony.. and specially if u plan properly with receipy than chef will make proper Jain food too. Over all its very good to experience once
Wonderful experience in Capella Cruise, Halong Bay, Vietnam. Memory for the lifetime... After the sunset and in the early morning, we were traveling through the Fairy land... What a Beauty, Mind - blowing ! Perhaps, "Earth has not anything to show more fair..." Inside the Cruise : awesome food, superb ambiance and touching behavior of the crew members... Fantastic ! This super - duper six star experience is just incredible... RECOMMENDED ! Au Revoir !
Quite disappointing I was quite disappointed with the cruise as it was not able to offer much for the vegetarians and was not able to take care of kids food. Everything was fine when we arrived at the cruise. We went for the breakfast from where we were firstly disappointed. While having breakfast, there was hair in our food, though the staff replaced the food and was sorry. The thing that irritated me much was in the next morning. We were supposed to go for cave sight-seeing. As my daughter was sleeping we missed the breakfast and the sight-seeing. When my daughter woke up she was hungry. As my 6yr old daughter was hungry we went to ask some food for her, the staff with no courtesy said no for the food. I even asked them its for the kid not for us. Please give her atleast 2 pc of bread and butter but they ignored our request. They should have understood that a kid gets cranky when hungry, we adults can manage but it’s difficult for the kids. I have never seen such an act in other cruises. Been to so many countries, travelled in so many cruises from big to small ones but this CAPELLA cruise has really disappointed me.
This was an amazing experience, we loved it, we travel with our10 year old boy and he had a great time jumping into the water. The spring roll cooking class was very good, the food was really nice. It was an overall nice experience on board, the staff are super friendly. The caves which i really want to see were on way to early tho, It was a 6:30am meet, but i think this was due to the tides so i am sure it is different times.
My family and I had a great time on Capella cruise and it was totally worth to go! 2nights in the cruise felt like time was not enough! ! Hope to come back in the future ! Thank you Tom, a manager of the cruise for assistance and all the crews are so professional!
Our one night stay was amazing and packed with good activities whilst having a good amount of free time as well to relax and take in the scenery! We would definitely recommend to anyone looking to come to Ha Long Bay. A special thanks to John who took good care of us and made the trip memorable!
Without a doubt the best experience of our lives. From the second we arrived at the check in point we were treated like royalty. The ship is phenomenal, the staff are courteous and nothing is too much trouble. The activities offer were great fun. We had bad weather on our trip but there was still much to do, but we spent hours watching the islands float past. Our room was exceptional....a bath while floating along was a highlight. The food at all meals was of exceptional standard and all tastes and cuisines catered for. I only wish we had booked a longer trip.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Capella Cruise. We booked the two day one night package. The meals were lovely. The water slide and swimming in Ha Long Bay was our favourite part. The morning boat ride with the locals to the caves was amazing. Staff were kind and professional, very friendly. Special mention to Chris and Gin for making our stay so special. It was great that everything was included, meals, experiences and travel. We also had an 30 minute massage on board which was amazing. Our only critiques are that the beds are VERY firm, we awoke with extremely sore necks. Once our boat docked at 11am, the transport back to Hanoi hotels did not arrive until 12pm and we missed a pre-paid cooking class due to this delay.
First time Visitor trying to experience as much as possible in Vietnam and I have to share the the 2D1N cruise was perfect!!! Rooms were amazing, varying levels so choose what’s affordable and right for the number off people in your group. The activities ranged from kayaking, swimming, spa, giant slide into the water - only cruise ship offering this so great for all ages. Bamboo boat ride to the caves. Meals all included from buffet lunch, brunch, breakfast to the 5 course evening meal - you will not be disappointed. In the evening you could chill out at the bar, watch an outdoor movie, play poker (for fun of course) in a full size table. Loved happy hour to started the evening off. It’s a must so make sure to add it to your itinerary.
Capella is a great cruise. Spacious room, clean with connecting room facilities. 30 cabins, not too big. The food was great with buffet Lunch, breakfast and a brunch on the next day. Dinner is a set. Good for family who loves slides cos the cruise comes with a slide down to the water. Service is good and the staffs are courteous. Only shortfall is, we need to take a 45 min slow boat from the jetty to the cruise which is waiting for us outside. I am sure they can improve the experience with a faster boat
