Best Seller Halong Bay 6 Hours Cruise

The whole day trip was well organized and worth the cost. I am usually hesitant to go on group tours as I feel they rush you around. I NEVER felt rushed on this one.

1DAY HALONG BAY TOUR WITH TOMMYS He guided my family very pleasantly and kindly. It's an eight-hour round trip by bus from Hanoi, but this trip can be enjoyed with great excitement.

We loved our guide we enjoyed the journey he is were kind the cruise was really good the view really good it was 2 hours journey to go the cruise same for coming back

Not in my habit to post a negative review, but this is my 100% honest experience of this tour. I do not recommend to visit to Ha Long Bay, it’s one of the worst place I have visited in Asia because of the mass and over tourism. It’s simply impossible to enjoy because of the thousands tourists and boats. I have seen the same landscapes with few tourists in other Asian countries and it was 1000% better. I don’t blame it on the tour company, I am sure they are all the same and also tired of the mass tourism destroying the environment. Negative sides of the tour: - 1 useless hour at the pearl museum just to push tourists to buy pearls - 50-70 tourists per boat so very crowded for a « luxury » cruise + Badly behaved people SUPER drunk screaming loudly - A lot of waiting time between activities (sometimes 45min - 1 hour waiting at the harbour) - The food was terribly bad and cold, I could only eat cold white rice and tasteless boiled cabbage. Vietnam has such incredible cuisine, why serve this?! - The boats are dangerously hitting each other, zero notion of safety… + Super polluting the environment - The activities were also overcrowded with HUNDREDS of tourists, the kayak / bamboo boats were super dangerous hitting one another and creating collisions all the time. Also super crowded for the cave with a long waiting queue. Last activity was swimming on a super crowded beach right next to boat fuming dark smoke 💨 Amazing !! - Pressuring tourists on the boat to buy drinks, snacks and more pearls jewellery - Not enough space to sit down on upper deck - Being told it’s forbidden to bring our own plastic bottles to the boat for environmental reasons but then weirdly you can buy plastic bottles on board + Viet tourist were allowed to bring their own alcohol with big plastic containers - Crew members threw their cigarettes into the water, great for environnement protection! - No designated smoking area so non smokers have to bear with cigarette smoke all the time on the outside deck Positive sides of the tour: - Staff that spoke English - Pick up on time at the hotel - Bus to go there is comfortable - Only on the final 45 min to go back to harbour we were finally cruising and seeing nice landscapes Overall: 0/10, one wasted day of my holidays. I really wish I did not go and someone warned me before. All I did was waiting for the tour to be done. The government should absolutely limit the number of tourists there, it’s a hell!!! Save yourself and don’t waste your time going there. Please look at the pictures to make up your own mind.

Went on the HaLong day trip and my leader was Ti and he was amazing. He was super high energy the whole time and was the best leader we could've had!

Tommy as our tour guide made our day trip to Ha Long Bay an enjoyable and memorable experience. It was a long day 12 hours trip from start to finish. But having Tommy as our guide he made the trip fun. He was thorough and patience in explaining everything to us. I would recommend Tommy team to anyone looking for a tour guide in Hanoi. Tommy was a very gentle and polite guide who took great pains to provide instructions clearly. He made sure we had a great time. Ha long bay was picturesque and the cruise was excellent!

I expected Ha Long bay to disappoint - not in terms of its natural beauty, but in terms of being completely overrun with tourists, and large boats. In part I got lucky by going outside of the main international tourist season, but visiting with Tommy Excursions definitely helped. The group size is limited to the capacity of the buses they use - about 17 people if I recall correctly. We did join up with other groups on the boat (the boat we were on would accommodate perhaps 4 groups of that size, although there was only one other group the day I visited). But the stops en route are organised by individual group, which means you're only dealing with crowds at a small number of bottleneck points. It is also a 6 hour cruise, where some of the day trips from Hanoi only offer 4. Pickup at my hotel in the Old Quarter went smoothly. The stop at the pearl farm was unexpected - it wasn't listed on the itinerary when I booked, and it wasn't something I was particularly keen to do, but it was more interesting than I had expected - it was ultimately a sales pitch and shopping opportunity, but we were also shown the process used to inoculate oysters to produce cultured pearls, which was worth the visit. On the cruise, I opted for the kayaking, and loved it. The stop is long enough for a relaxed row around a picturesque bay. The visit to the "Surprise" cave involved a slow progress in a long queue to get to the entrance, and through the first cave, but once it opened out into the main section the crowds thinned right out. It is a spectacular cave, and more than makes up for the minor inconvenience of getting in. The only part that was unpleasantly crowded was the swimming stop at Ti Top island. I actually had a nice time - the beach was crowded, as was the shallow water, but barely a handful of people were swimming out past standing depth. Our guide Willy was informative, and got us through all of our stops in good time, but without feeling rushed, and Tommy himself was on the boat and offered to take a souvenir photo of me as I was on my own. All in all, if you only have time for a day trip to Ha Long, this is a great option.

Fantastic day out. Everything well organised. Our guide Tommy was excellent. Beautiful place altogether 👌🏻 We went by bus to Ha Long bay then took the cruise all around the island. Kayaking and jet skiing. Then through the caves amazing.

An excellent day trip to give you a good overview of Ha Long Bay if you don’t have the time to stay overnight. Our guide was fun and very knowledgeable. Boat was good with excellent food. A great tour of the magnificent Ha Long Bay. No complaints at all.

Great tour, was well organized from the start to finish. Our guide Tommy was fantastic too, knowledgeable and engaging. This was a day tour and Tommy made sure we did alot in the short amount of time. The boat rides, cave tour, and hike up mountains were all very fun. As well as a short party at the end.
