First rate tour. Had a little difficulty understanding Tiger, our guide, but he was very patient. If you take one excursion out of Hanoi Tam Coc would be a good choice. If you book from Viator don't do it over the phone, they were amateurish in handling it ( did ok in my other online booking with them).

Alex the guide, where to start. Such a kind person, good advice, good knowledge on Vietnam history and all round just a good guy. Only slight negative is I reckon there should only be one pickup dropoff point as so many people and locations make scheduling a tad difficult, due to other guests time management skills.
Our guide Victor was super fun. He opened our bus ride with some ice breaker questions. Asked us where we are from and what is our country known from. The latter one was hard and I wish he would’ve asked something easier such as how to say “it is nice to meet you” in our language. Everything was planned nicely and I didn’t feel rushed at all. We took a 20 minute break between point A to B for bathroom and snack break which was nice. We took the bus to climb 500 steps and were given free time to look around the beautiful place. Next up was cycling and food. We were given an option not to do the first one so he took us to the buffet place. Place was very clean and fancy. There was food for a simple taste palette and Asian foods. My fiancé got his French fries with ketchup and chicken whilst I got every Asian food option. The food was tasty and you could fill up as much as you want to. Next top was the temple which was simple and educating. We moved to the place where you can board the boat. It was incredibly beautiful and we were even give a possibility to row ourselves. My fiancé and I took the most of that possibility. Victor was a lovely guide , fun and outgoing. If we were to ever return he would be our go to guide ANYWHERE. Victor, if you see this, PATATA!
Great action packed tour. You will get to visit temples, do bicycle rides, take boat rides, hike up a mountain and have lunch. Max (guide) and Albert (driver) were a nice team. Pro: full day event, lots of things to do. If you don't like too much activity then a lot of relaxation time also. Con: 1. Please check about your pick up or meeting point. I had initially kept my hotel as the pick up point but it was changed since it is not in the Old Quarters neighborhood. Please ask them in advance. 2. If you can afford and prefer, do a private tour instead. If your group size is big then it takes 1 hour (from 7.30-8.30am) just for pick up. 3. Then the group members are not always punctual or respectful. We had instances of people coming late after every event.
Can't thank Tony enough for his wonderful work to make our day special. Our trip could not be as good without him. The food, vehicle was terrific. The most valuable day tour ever. Just a little note that entry fees were not included and people needed to prepare cash to give the tour guide when started. This could be a challenge as it is in local VND.
Beautiful trip! Our guide did a wonderful job! Would definitely recommend this excursion and there was no doubt as this is really the best rate guaranteed. We were lucky enough to come at its best time to visit and everything was just wonderful.
It is a great experience and you get to see a lot, but the boat tour (2 hrs) honestly becomes a bit boring after a while and the seats aren't that comfortable, half the time would be enough. Also, it should be communicated that the steps at Mua Caves are very steep, it feels more like climbing that actual steps. But all in all, we still had a great time, and our guide, Kenny was super fun.
A day trip to Ninh Bình was fantastic. The transportation and guide arrived on time, both at the start and end of the tour. Our guide, Ken, made our trip complete; he told funny stories and answered all our questions in fluent and clear English. Since I often sit for long periods while working, this tour was a great opportunity for physical activity with rowing and hiking. I sweated a lot, but I slept very well that night. My family also enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the food; we had a hearty lunch. In conclusion, I will definitely recommend this trip to my friends so they can have as wonderful an experience as my family did.
We decided to choose Ninh Binh for our last days in Vietnam. Thanks to our guide, we gained a deeper understanding of the Trang An cultural heritage, which was incredibly beautiful. I also enjoyed the local specialties and bought some as souvenirs. Although it felt a bit crowded when we were on the boat, everything was generally great
It all went well until during the long ride back we went out of the way to pick up some random woman (likely someone who booked a transfer) and then out of the way again to pick up the driver’s son. At the end of the day we all just want to be back in town and have dinner but because of these unscheduled stops, we got back 45 minutes later than we were supposed to. To top it off, the random woman was dropped off first before any of us were. Our guide, Harvey was great though.
We chose to visit Trang An and it was the right option. The boat trip was fantastic. Tour guide was very friendly and took care of us very well. Remember to pay extra the entry fee to Mua cave. The view there is stunning.
Johnny aka 阿海 is a very attentive and experience tour guide. Throughout the trip he gave a very details history of the places we had visited most importantly he is making sure the safety of us especially our old parents. Highly recommended
Harry was our guide for Ninh Binh day tour in early June 2023. He prepared us on the hot weather condition and the amount of time we need to spend on the bamboo boat ride at Trang An as well as the climb up Mua Cave, that helps from the start :) Harry's stories help us appreciate the history and beauty of Hoa Lu ancient capital. In Trang An, he recommended the route for the boat ride so that we could enjoy the temples and catch the 1km cave, that was an experience! Like his stories about driving culture in Vietnam cities. As well as his childhood stories of drying rice grains during rainy times and how he used to catch small fish and snails in the lotus pond. Our family have enjoyed the day trip, and it was an excellent experience having Harry as our guide.
Mua Caves is magnificent with breathtaking view from the top. Totally worth the 25 minutes climb. Tour guide could have tell us more about the places we will be visiting such as the history or interesting trivia. Buffet Lunch was quite disappointing. Dishes were cold and not much food was left to eat. Bus did not send us back to the hotel but left us some distance away from hotel and we had to walk back.
Very complete, the Buffet was amazing, the guide was very entertaining. The landscapes to another level and the very modern bus!!!
Wonderful discovery. It's really an excursion to make. We discover landscapes of beauty. Well the stop peeing at the shopping hall is not essential but it is the game and they are not insistent so it is okay. Then it's top even the 500 steps to climb. 😅
Very nice to sit in a kayak and go over the river. Did not have to row the trip took about 2 1/2 hours and also made several stops to look at temples. And under two great By sailed. Very busy though
