It was such great experience to explore different food with Hoan who showed us several places!

We had a wonderful experience on this tour! The host was extremely knowledgable and clearly very passionate about authentic, high quality, local businesses. So many hidden spots we never would have found. We recommended this to everyone we met that was heading to Hanoi. Super reasonably priced for all the food we ate, and the host was very respectful and really curated a great environment with our group.

We had an incredible food tour in Hanoi’s Old Quarter with Hoan, even in the middle of a heavy downpour! From the moment we met, Hoan welcomed us warmly and made the experience feel personal and authentic. Over six courses, she guided us to hidden local restaurants we never would have found on our own, each one offering something unique and delicious. Hoan not only introduced us to the dishes but also showed us how to eat them the way locals do, which made the whole experience even more memorable. The food was fresh, flavoursome, and approachable. Our two teenagers, who are usually quite cautious with food, genuinely enjoyed the variety and came away with a much broader appreciation for Vietnamese cuisine. That in itself made the tour priceless for us as a family. We highly recommend this tour with Hoan to anyone visiting Hanoi – it’s the perfect mix of culture, flavour, and fun, and it left us with both full stomachs and wonderful memories. A must do!

Our food tour, 'Authentic Taste of Hanoi,' with Hoan was a really cool experience. Without her, I'm not sure how we would have navigated Hanoi's local food scene; we probably wouldn't have found or even tried many of the spots. Hoan was great at showing us around and pointing out some unique food. The variety was impressive, from pork rolls (Nem nướng Nha Trang) to sticky rice (Xôi xéo), and even grilled beef in leaves (Bò lá lốt), which I ended up liking. While everything was good, the egg coffee was a highlight – quite an experience! And the custard apple from the market was a personal favorite. The tour felt less like a strict guide and more like exploring with someone who knew all the best local places. It was a good way to really soak in Hanoi's food culture, and well worth the time."

That was amazing tour, Hoan customized the tour according our wishes and preferences, everything was close in Hanoi center and even if it started raining she had an umbrellas for all of us. The food and drink were delicious, all local places with atmosphere. It was definitely worth it 🙂thank you very much!

Hoan was a fantastic guide through the streets of Hanoi, introducing us to a wide variety of flavourful and unique foods. We had a great time sampling everything including fresh beer to fermented pork — all delicious and thoughtfully selected. We really like how adaptable Huan was to our dietary preferences. We did the tour towards the end of our trip and we still tried amazing new food, while getting insights and historical contexts of dishes and streets. Definitely go with this tour you won't regret it!

Me and my two friends from New York were drawn to Hanoi for its culinary excellence reputation. We tried some of the best rated restaurants in Hanoi, including some Michelin star. Hoan took us to places that far outperformed every single restaurant we went to. This is how deep her knowledge of Hanoi’s street food gems is, not to mention she is really pleasant to be around; kind, interesting and well informed.

I tend not to go to food tours as I expect them to take you to touristy places, but I'm so happy that I decided to give it a chance this time. This tour was awesome! Everything we ate was super tasty, and all the places were local places I would probably not know to find. I always thought I like Thai food better, but after this tour... I don't know. I kind of want to stay around just to be able to eat more. Everyone in the group was very nice, and Hoan was super nice, always making sure we were getting to eat what we wanted. Definitely go and do the tour!

Hoan's food tour was wonderful. We did the small group tour and went to many local places, learned the history of the food and city, and Hoan personalized the experience to our tastes. I appreciated that she took us to locations where the food was made fresh, rather than it sitting out all day. I was looking for a Vegetarian food tour and when I contacted Hoan, she was very honest with telling me that hers probably wasn’t the best suited tour for my needs. She then went on further to point me towards an alternative tour which focussed on vegetarian and vegan food and furthermore proactively sent me a wealth of information on various food spots I could visit during my stay in Hanoi and the different vegetarian culinary delights that this beautiful city has to offer. She even sent me notes on how to ask for the meals to be made vegetarian Hoan, you are amazing! Thank you so very much for all your help and your incredible hospitality.
