I do not appreciate this experience. When we started the tour, the guide did almost nothing except show us the way. Some parts of the walk were really rocky so it took longer to cross them. That spoiled things a little. Next you'll have a quite good but utterly normal Vietnamese meal, meaning no local produce except for maybe rice. The house is very dirty and scary at night because it is deserted and has many insects even though we brought insect repellent.

I had to call 10 times before the tour operator responded. on the tour, our guide walked very quickly and some peopleo in the group could not keep up. Moreover, along the way there are always street vendors who bother us and force us to buy things. They get annoyed when we don't agree to buy and are very rude. The homestay is dirty and deserted, so at night it's like a...haunted house. If your family has children, you shouldn't go there because they will be very scared and worried. Please don't make excuses for poor service, try to improve it. I will never come back here!!!
The transfer from Hanoi worked great, unfortunately less so on site, so we often had to wait for a guide or fellow travelers. At no point, until dinner night one did at the hotel we actually meet the organizers. Homestay is nothing characteristic if not that, compared to those who sleep in hotels, you are immersed in nature. moreover, the staff at the homestay did not speak English well so they could not help us much. The bathroom and the bed and mattress were very dirty and smelly but we were not helped with anything. It was terrible. We had a tiring and miserable night. Worse still, there were rats running on the roof and...cockroaches under the bed. A real nightmare!!! I don't think that is fair or professional.
The guide also continued walking without looking back to check if everyone was with them , Not explaining much to us along the way. Even after someone fell and sprained their ankle. At the end of the hike, I felt like the guide was irritated and just wanted to finish the activity. The motel is very dirty with lots of insects, rats, bugs and ants.
A bit disappointing overall. My problem was with the transportation and lack of communication. The homestay is extremely dirty, smelly, and full of rats and cockroaches. The house is very deserted, and few people live there, so it's scary at night. The food is also very bad, and the kitchen is very dirty.
We couldn’t have asked for a better way to see Sapa. The trekking was well-organized, and every turn revealed new, beautiful sights. Our guide was excellent—very attentive and knowledgeable about the local culture. Spending the night in a bungalow surrounded by nature was the highlight, giving us a chance to unwind and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique adventure in Vietnam
This two-day trek was exactly what we were looking for. We explored the charming villages, met welcoming locals, and learned so much about Sapa’s traditions. The bungalow stay was comfortable, with stunning views of the surrounding rice fields. Our guide went above and beyond, making us feel like part of the community. The whole tour was well-planned, and we left with incredible memories. Definitely a must-do for those wanting an authentic trekking experience in Vietnam!
Communication from the provider tour was poor. Sleeping bus were actually very uncomfortable, short, dirty horizontal niches with seats that cannot be adjusted because they are broken. Please state this information seriously. Our guide was very nice, can't say anything bad about her. no sharing with the host family. Homestay was not as expected... like hostel.
The Scenery in Sapa is beyond words. Trekking through the rice terraces and interacting with the friendly locals made this a memorable journey. Our tour guide Xu was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic in introducing us to the customs of the ethnic minorities here.
The trekking routes were incredible, and stay in the bungalow was a great way to relax after a day's adventure. The local guide gave us a true taste of Sapa's culture.
It' an amazing trip. I had great time with my friend and new friend in group as well. The weather in Sapa was chill, a little bit cool and the scenery is stunning. Highly recommend tour with Best Vietnam Tours. The driver is so funny
Veryy disappointed with such a beautiful place. The company & homestay is BAD, 1 point!!! However, Sapa is amazing and the village tour is very good indeed. Not recommended.
The morning bus picked up the wrong customer, causing us to wait more than 1 hour at the hotel. Very tired. The driver also drove carelessly because he always looked at his phone. Our tour guide didn't explain much when we arrived at Ta Van. The motel was deserted and scary, especially at night because there were no other guests besides us. Maybe there aren't many tourists here. The experience was truly terrifying.
3 days trekking with Lala went by so quickly! She was an extremely knowledgeable guide, who picked us up from the bus station. Then we had a lovely lunch and left our bags at our beautiful hotel. We went to Cat Cat village to learn about the culture and Lala was really good at teaching us about the whole village and the hemp weaving. The full day of trekking Lala kept us entertained and we learnt so much about the culture of the rural villages and the different ethnic groups and their customs. We stayed in a lovely home stay that was basically a hotel and then went to visit Lala’s house which really taught us how local Vietnamese people live. Overall I would really recommend this tour and to support the local people.
The only imressive thing is that Sapa is amazing. The room was dirty and full of rats and cockroaches. Staff cannot speak English to assist. You should avoid this company and homestay.
Guide Lala is warm and friendly, highly recommend for this trip! The view here is great, and staying at a warm hostel. So great overall!
Lala was our guid and she was great! the walls are so beautiful and the home stay was lovely! the food at the home stay was delicious as well. Lala was so helpful in customising your walk and experience to your group and it was a great insight into culture in northern vietnam
We have had the best time at Hoa Chan Homestay. In a picture perfect location, you get to relax and have a true Vietnamese experience here. The family dinners in the evening are so lovely and a great way to meet other travellers. We also organised a trekking tour via the homestay which was incredible, had amazing views, and had a delicious lunch in a local home. I would definitely recommend staying here for your time in Sapa. Getting here is also super easy as they organise a pick up and drop off service!
Our tour started with us taking a sleeper bus to Sa Pa. Our bus left at around 9:30 PM, and we arrived in Sa Pa at around 4:15. This was a general bus from Hanoi to Sa Pa, not filled with people from the tour and we were the only ones. We were stranded in the cold and dark and did not know where to go. The tour operator answered quickly, and told us to wait until 6:00 AM to go to a restaurant where their staff would meet us. What were we supposed to do in a city where everything was closed and it was freezing outside for 1.5 hours? The operator told us our bus got in early, which makes no sense because it is about a 6 hour drive from Hanoi. A sleeper bus should not be an option if we were then to wait so many hours for the tour to begin. We arrived at the restaurant at 6 AM and had to wait in a freezing restaurant until 8 AM for the tour to start. Our guide was lovely and we had a great time with her. However, she allowed two other women join our tour, “helping us”, so I thought they were part of the tour. We sat down somewhere for a break, and they immediately started bothering us to buy something and would not stop for 10 minutes. I understand their position, but they should not have been allowed to join our tour and our guide should have said something when they were bothering us for so long. There is no plan for after the trek. We finished at 1 PM and had the rest of the day to do nothing. We were told there would be a cooking class, which there was not. Our room in the homestay had no heat and no hot water. Breakfast the next day was supposed to be at 8:00 AM, was served closer to 9. Overall, I am pretty disappointed with the poor planning and timeliness of the tour. I would not recommend this experience.
Really amazing experience. The local guide was really communicative, speak well English and talk a lot during the tour. The stay was very good, very comfort bungalows and the local food was amazing. We would able to cook the dinner with the owners and was such a rich experience. Truly recommend the tour and the stay.
Beautiful home stay, great room and food and gorgeous welcoming family. We had so much fun hanging out with the family. Highly recommend for an authentic experience.
Overall experience is great and rewarding. The hosts are friendly and the meals provided in the homestay were really good. However, there are several areas of improvement to be considered :- 1) an English speaking guide to receive and explain to us on what to expect and safety measures when we first started our journey in Hanoi 2) rubber boots should be highly encouraged and provided free as part of the tour package especially during the monsoon months eg Dec, Jan, etc. 3) heater should be provided free as part of the package in the Homestay 4) power outages can be avoided if the homestay houses have standby generators installed
It was amazing, we enjoyed the time tracking with Ha very much! She is a very kind, friendly and cute person! She showed us the best views and places along Sapa! A lovely trip in beautiful Sapa, which we enjoyed very much and our guide Ha took excellent care of us. The sunny weather just added to the whole thing.
Lala was so nice to us! She talked us through the walk and the schedule for the day. She made sure we had regular breaks. Homestay was lovely too. Very friendly people and the food was good.
Great homestay with amazing views. We had the opportunity to eat meals with the family that were delicious! Come here if you're looking for a relaxing time to escape the heat of Hanoi!
I recently went on the 2-day overnight tour in Sapa and had an incredible time! The trekking was challenging but so worth it for the stunning views of the rice fields and villages. Our guide, Thang, was knowledgeable and friendly, and made the experience even better. The homestay in Ta Van Village was a highlight of the trip - we were warmly welcomed by Mrs Chanh and her family and enjoyed a delicious gathering dinner and breakfast. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. Overall, I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to experience the beauty and culture of Sapa.
A memorable tour for us, it was wonderful, I feel like we were favored, I have never seen such a good national cultural show, thank you Bestour, thank you indigenous family.
great trip with clean, nice and spacious room. Very good service. Great food. Will continue until next time
The experience of nature is wonderful. The most delicious food ever eaten. People and natural scenery. Love it here and look forward to coming back.
