2 Days Lan Ha Bay Cruise In Less Tourist Areas (Small Group)

Loved this tour! I booked fairly last minute as a solo traveller and they were very accommodating. Transfers were efficient (limo bus, great AC). The boat itself looks exactly like the pictures and was clean, comfortable and had really good AC and nice, varied meals with lots of choice. For happy hour - I recommend the passion fruit mojito! Was really surprised that we barely encountered any other tour/cruise boats over the 2 days so the views we got were really incredible. The activities were also great and helped you to experience the Bay itself (2hrs for kayaking and swimming) and a bike tour through Cat Ba island. And lots of time on the boat to enjoy the scenery. Would strongly recommend this tour.

This tour was such a memorable, bucket list experience! After getting a very comfortable, large bus to the harbour we were welcomed onto the boat by our guide, Tom. Tom was so friendly and was there to help with every activity. The kayaking and bike ride were definitely highlights of the trip! We loved how this tour went to less tourist areas as at some points there was no other boats in sight, making the view even more unbelievable. The chef was even able to accommodate gluten free meals for me (I’m not celiac so can’t comment on cross contamination) which was so kind. Highly recommend!

First off, the crew are lovely and work hard. Food is varied and plentiful. The bedrooms (203 and 204) are comfortable and attractive but the bathrooms need a little love, and there is a toilet/sewage smell in the room. Night time activities on our 2 evenings didn’t come to anything as no one wanted to do karaoke and squid fishing petered out early with no joy. Day time activities are excellent, especially if you do 3 days/2 nights. The fish farm, the kayaking through caves and the cycling. Seeing the endangered monkeys was incredible. Went enjoyed our time on the boat.

Had an amazing experience Pir guide, Tom was a lovely host. Loved every bit of it. Kayaking was the highlight.

Overall the cruise was great but the letdown was the condition of the boat we were put on. There are 2 “boutique”( this is how Venezia describe them) boats in their fleet and we were allocated the worst. Very old and rusty tug is better description. Our room was not the twin double we paid for and the ensuite although usable needs a lot of work. Meals were good, crew was fantastic, cruising LAN Ha bay was awesome but that boat needs the scrapyard.

This was such a lovely experience, well, at least after the fairly lengthy bus ride from Hanoi, although this itself was quite comfortable. The accommodation on the boat was spacious and very comfortable and the food throughout the trip was plentiful and of good quality, with the ships' staff being friendly and helpful. The kayaking trip was great fun, as was the cycling adventure, as well as the cooking demo, and the scenery was out of this world. We luckily had very good weather which made it even more enjoyable. I consider this experience as great value for money.

Great experience with attentive staff. Tom our guide was brilliant, as were the staff on board. The vessel is old school and perfect for an adventure through the bay. Lovely hot showers, super comfortable beds and the food served was excellent. Best gin fizz too!

My husband and I enjoyed our one-night cruise. It was very well run - prompt pick up from hotel to an organised delivery to the port. It takes a 4-hour trip from Hanoi Old Town (bus, then ferry, then bus) but it was all very well organised. Our room on the boat was how I expected it to be - looks exactly like the pictures. The food we were given was fantastic and they cater for all. We had lunch, dinner, breakfast and lunch before we got off. Happy hour included cocktails and spirits - not beer. Activities included kayaking and swimming, cooking class, squid fishing and visit to Cat Ba Island in the morning. I found the kayaking challenging as it was something I don't often do so that is something to consider when you are there. Also, there is an option of bike riding or buggy or Cat Ba Island. Bikes did not have gears and there are some hilly parts so that is also something to consider. My husband and I took the buggy. We were lucky with the weather for our cruise. We had nonstop rain in Hanoi the day before we left and thankfully it cleared and our weather for our cruise was perfect! Tom was a good tour guide, providing us with lots of information and spending time with groups of guests throughout the cruise. The boat itself is aging and not as glam as some others we saw but still functional and relaxing. I am so glad I picked this tour rather than Halong Bay as it was quieter and not so many tourists. Yes, there are other boats out there, but it didn't appear to be too overcrowded or pollution and rubbish in the water. Our next stop after the cruise was Ninh Binh and Tom orgnaised for us to travel to Ninh Binh rather than back to Hanoi and then on to Ninh Binh which saved us a few extra hours of travel. I was so happy with our time on the boat, and it was one of the highlights of my holiday!

We, our whole family, enjoyed our trip very much. Our guide Mong was very friendly and efficient and we had really a great time!

DONT BOOK THIS CRUISE EVER. THEIR MAIN CRUISE WAS FULLY BOOKED AND WE WERE GIVEN A DIFFERENT SHIP WHICH WAS NOT THE SAME AS IN THE PICTURES. THE AIRCONDITIONER DID NOT WORK TILL 8 PM. THE ROOMS WERE LIKE BAKING CHAMBERS. WE REQUESTED THEM TO TAKE US BACK TO THE PORT BUT WE WERE DENIED AND AS THERE WAS NO INTERNET WE COULD NOT EVEN SPEAK TO BOOKING.COM CUSTOMER CARE. IT WAS LIKE A PRISON We carried only 4 small cans of beer and we are asked 10 dollars to pay if we wanted to consume it. They don't serve water with meals. YOU HAVE TO BUY WATER WITH YOUR FREE MEALS. THE MAIN PERSON SERVING US ON THE SHIP STARTED DRINKING ALCOHOL WHILE SERVING US DINNER AND BEHAVED atrociously. At 9 am the next morning they again switched off our Air conditioner. We were given a customer satisfaction form and when I filled it mentioning my concerns, I was told to change it in a very absurd manner. We were charged 200 dollar over and above the amount mentioned in my booking and we had to pay as they forced us to pay after 4 hours of us boarding the ship. ITS A PATHETIC HOLE. DONT BOOK THIS VRUISE EVER. It's difficult to fathom as to how booking.com has associated itself with such accommodation. The best part is that I receives a message from the management to remove my review too.

We had a wonderful time with our tour guide Anh. He was very friendly and welcoming, as was the rest of the crew. Biking through the ecological village was one of the highlights!

Anh was an excellent host and looked after us very well The weather was not v good but the boat and food were superb We enjoyed the trips and the cooking too

This cruise is brilliant. Anh the main tour guide is fantastic he's very informative, good fun, pleasant, helpful. The rest of the crew are great too and can't do enough to make sure you have the best time. The food is great, you get to meet other people who are traveling through Vietnam too. Very relaxing and chilled. You can do kayaking, swimming, crab fishing at night or you can just chill on the boat no pressure. They take you to a little village on either bicycles or electric car, you get to try some local drinks, fish foot spa and see some fantastic views of the area. The rooms are beautiful, you get a big window so are able to always see the beautiful views around you. The boat is very clean This trip is worth doing and worth the money

Had a fantastic time on the 2D1N cruise. Our tour guide Anh was amazing and super informative. The staff were all extremely friendly and looked after us. It was also our honeymoon and they were super sweet and made the room look really nice for us. 10/10 all round.

Just came off a Venezia cruise and just loved it. Lan Ha Bay was stunning. Staff were very attentive and tour guide Anh was friendly, funny,, knowledgeable and joined in making it a fun experience. Food was great and itinerary on Cat Ba was very good. Cabins clean and lovely big viewing windows from cabins out to the bay. Enjoyed the bike ride around the villages. Would definitely recommend.

Venezia was amazing. I’m vegetarian and they accommodated my needs extremely well. Anh and all the staff were courteous and took such good care of all of us. I would definitely recommend this cruis.

What a stunning part of the world! If you are in Vietnam this is a must. I did a lot of research before choosing Venezia and we weren’t disappointed. The crew were outstanding and our tour leader was one of the best we have had. He was charming, entertaining and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

Did the 2D1N tour with Venetia crew and it was very good! We were 10 guests and about the same number of crew members. Our guide, @Anh provided interesting information about Lan Ha Bay and the local culture. The whole crew worked together as a team and made sure all of the guests feel comfortable. The room we had was quite spacious and very clean and the same can be said about the boat!

Anh was super caring and cooperative. The rooms were clean, meals were delicious, all activities were well organazing. Highly recommended for couples, family with kids, for events like honey moon

We really enjoyed this cruise. We did 3day/2nights. Our guide Anh was very helpful and provided a lot of information. He encouraged me to jump off the boat into the water. Our accommodation was very comfortable and the food was good. We stopped in really beautiful areas and it didn’t feel too crowded with boats. I’m grateful we did this versus a day tour.

We did the tour 1 night 2 days. The experience was amazing, the view of Ha Long Bay magical. Our tour guide Anh was really nice and helpful. We also did a bike tour on the Island and saw some beautiful landscape. The room was very comfortable. We stayed in less crowded areas which we really appreciated.

We had an amazing tour on Lan Ha Bay. We did a 2 day, 1 night tour. My highlight was biking through the Viet Hai village. Our guide, Anh, was kind and helpful. We were on a small boat with 10 people. It was fun and relaxing.

Excellent trip through the Cat Ba and Halong bay areas. Outstanding natural beauty spot and well worth the trip. Highly recommended. The boat cabins were very comfortable (we had a double plus twin which was slightly bigger than the others) and the boat was very comfortably set out with plenty of viewing places on the decks - both up and downstairs. We had three excellent hosts in Tung and Cam and Anh. All were excellent and went out of their way to make us happy. Lovely bunch of people to travel with. Things to note - water is not included in price so you need to buy that on board (ditto for bar drinks obviously). Food supplied is way over the top - there was much more than we could possibly eat! Breakfast is a little limited (bring Granola if you like that for breakfast). Power sockets in rooms are (very sensibly for a boat) up the wall a bit so charging devices can be a balancing act! Remember to bring wet clothes for kayaking - esp footwear to avoid the coral shards when on beaches as there is a bit about the place. Cabins are lovely - very comfortable. Beds gave a very good sleep. Bathroom we had was reasonably well appointed. Overall - a wonderful few days!!
