I stayed at Tuna Homestay in Tay Ho for 8 days, and I had a really relaxing and peaceful experience. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around and explore different parts of Hanoi. The homestay has a calm and comfortable atmosphere, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. I really enjoyed the peaceful environment and felt very comfortable here. I would definitely recommend Tuna Homestay to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay in Tay Ho. I’d be happy to stay here again! ❤️

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Tuna Stayhome & Experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. When I first arrived, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly, but after I informed the host, they fixed it almost immediately. I really appreciated how quickly they responded and took care of the issue. The shared bathrooms were cleaned regularly and kept in good condition throughout my stay. The only maintenance issue I noticed was that one of the shower doors couldn’t be locked properly, which should be repaired for guests’ privacy. The hostel has both a dog and a cat living on the property, which could be a nice touch for animal lovers. However, I was concerned about the dog’s condition. It appeared to have a significant skin problem, and I wasn’t sure if it could be contagious. Because of that, I avoided getting too close and felt a bit uncomfortable whenever the dog was nearby. I hope the owners can have the dog properly examined and treated. One area that could be improved is the kitchen. It’s essentially a makeshift outdoor kitchen with very limited cooking equipment and no proper stove, so it’s not ideal if you plan to prepare meals. There also isn’t a guest microwave. Whenever you need to heat up food, you have to ask the host to use the microwave inside their private kitchen. Having a microwave available for guests would make things much more convenient. Finally, the guest refrigerator is very small. When multiple people are staying at the hostel, there isn’t enough space for everyone’s food. A larger fridge would make a big difference. Overall, I enjoyed my stay thanks to the clean rooms, comfortable accommodations, and the host’s excellent responsiveness. With a few improvements to the kitchen facilities, the refrigerator, the shower lock, and attention to the dog’s health, this hostel could provide an even better experience for future guests.
Great homestay made a lot of good friends there. It’s clean, close to the lake and the owners are very nice and helpful. The best part was the people I met there. It’s small and has a nice outdoor siting area where you can hang out, talk to people and have a good time. Will miss this place.
Overall, decent stay for price with 3 things to note. I’m on year 4 of travel and had planned to stay longer here but left after a few nights for somewhere else for 105,000vnd in old quarter (that I’ve been before) where I know the guests respect quiet hours, AC is used, and free large lockers. If you don’t mind not having those 3 things, then Tuna is a decent stay 20 mins from old quarter away from the super touristy area. 200,000vnd per night cash. #1 BATHROOM STUFF STOLEN don’t make my mistake and get comfortable thinking simple items like shampoo, soap, mouthwash won’t be stolen from the vanity area in the bathroom. In my 2 months in Vietnam I’ve not had my bathroom items stolen but here I had my medicated/prescription only Betadine mouthwash for an infection stolen (gross, who steals an opened medicated mouthwash..karma for them I guess). Lockers in the room are not offered for free like most hostels. So, I guess you need to keep your stuff up in your bed or I believe you can pay for access to a lock. #2 EARLY HOURS LOUD In the female-only dorm, the guests will open the balcony door early (6/7am) which makes the main road noises very loud and lights the room up (if you have top bunk that also means it’s basically like having the main light turned on because it will no longer be dim in the room). A lot of decent non-party hostels have guests that respect early hour quiet times but the ones here during my stay did not. Unwritten rule of hostel life is to not to be an a—hole and wake up everyone in the room at 6am just because you’re awake. Especially because there’s an outdoor and indoor seating area you can go to rather than wake up… one morning two of the girls even had their phone out to record videos/take pics with a tripod at 6:30/7am! Chatting away while everyone else in the room was trying to sleep. So rude on the guests part. #3 MOSQUITOS The use of balcony door vs AC also means lots of mosquito bites! Multiple girls in my room had bites, including myself. Hostel is run by a young family with an infant, so also keep that in mind. I did hear crying from time to time but it wasn’t often and didn’t bother me. There is one dog and one cat, both good animals and didn’t cause any disturbance. The location is nice because it’s a residential area and away from the overcrowded chaos of old quarter (still quite busy because it’s near the lake and lots of shops and restaurants but better than old quarter)
nice stay! bathroom was really clean and the place is just nice and close to shops and many cafe! the only thing was the bedsheet that was not too clean( i had not asked them to change them but i imagine they would without problem!!) and the bed was a bit hard but beside that it’s nice and in a quiet zone!
