The Oriental Jade Hotel

It was a five star experience for me in this a midsize hotel! I don’t need extravagance; I want pleasantry and comfort. Oriental Jade is located amidst the French Quarter and the old quarter. Literally walking distance to hundreds of places to visit. The visit started with first class service upon arrival. Our car pulled up and three people came running out of the hotel to greet and help us. Wow! What a great feeling. Then she sat us down and brought us a juice drink, and some butter cookies to snack. After checking us in she explained everything about the area on a map and then brought us to our room on the ninth floor to explain more. We chose to face away from the main street because experience says facing the main street is very loud. This room was nice and quiet and steps from the elevator. The rooftop swimming pool and bar is beautiful, particularly at night. The service there was equally excellent. They have a gym, with free weight, dumbbells, and a barbell, a couple workout benches, and cardio machines. Drinking water in there as well. I will say it was quite hot in there, and I don’t know how much workout you can handle in that heat. The breakfast buffet, from 6:30 to 10 AM I believe, was so good. Quite a nice spread for this boutique hotel. Of course there were the standard breads, crescents, and pastries. Then there was a pho bar and omelette station. Next are serve yourself hot foods like sausage, bacon, hash browns, etc. But the Asian foods were the best items: Smoked duck and sweet and spicy prawns. Didn’t try the chow mein but the fried rice was better than average. Then they had other veggie cooked food, followed by charcuterie types, fruits, avocado toast, smoke salmon toast, and fresh juices. I had to hold back not to overeat. Service was friendly and they served us tea quickly. Overall, we really enjoyed staying here. Thank you so much.

A truly charming hotel and a wonderful stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a lovely terrace that makes it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. What really stood out was the kindness of the entire staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The service was excellent, and we especially appreciated their flexibility with the check-out, allowing us to stay longer and making our last day much more comfortable. We felt very well looked after throughout our stay. A beautiful hotel with lots of charm, a lovely atmosphere, and exceptional service. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately we only had two nights at this excellent hotel. Extremely clean, awesome breakfast and a very comfortable rooftop bar. The hotel is located right where "everything happens", so the surroundings are pretty walkable. The best thing about this hotel is actually the staff: everyone - from the people at the reception to the personell at the breakfast room and to the housekeeping staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Thank you all for really a pleasent stay - well definitely recommend!

This is a really lovely hotel. The rooms are luxurious, clean and quiet. The included breakfast is excellent, the rooftop bar and pool are beautiful and relaxing places to spend a couple of hours with a beer and watch the sunset. All of the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly - service was excellent all around. The location in the old quarter and close to the lake is fantastic for sight seeing and taking in the bustling atmosphere. Highly recommend this hotel.
