My favourite part of my stay is how kind and prompt the staff at reception, restaurant and the venue are. Everything that I wanted or needed was delivered with a smile and everybody was very helpful. Thankyou so much to everyone who assisted me throughout my vacation and a SPECIAL thanks to Celina for her amazing customer service. I will hope to see you all again in the near future.

The Old Quarter is fun to explore for a day or two, but it’s very hectic, loud, and overwhelming for longer stays. Cafés and shops are everywhere, but this is true across much of Hanoi, and taxis are extremely inexpensive—so staying right in the heart of this area isn’t necessary. This hotel had multiple issues. The room layout was awkward and cramped, and I was placed in a family-style room despite traveling solo, making it difficult to move around. There was no nightstand, outlets were poorly placed, the refrigerator was very small and barely worked, and the TV was dated. The biggest problem was the air conditioning. Even set to 19–20°C, the room stayed warm most of the day. Housekeeping was loud early in the morning, sound insulation was poor, and there was noticeable smoke odor late at night. The front desk hostess was polite and listened, which is the only reason I gave two stars instead of one. However, the alternative room shown to me a few days later was actually smaller and felt like a downgrade. Given multiple issues, an upgrade or partial refund would have been more appropriate, but it seemed many problems were beyond the staff’s control. I paid $75–78 USD, but the value felt significantly lower until these issues are addressed. I wouldn’t stay here again. I normally don’t write negative reviews, but when there are several ongoing problems, I think future guests should be aware. — Dave (USA)
My mama and I stayed here for about 15 days and didn’t know what to expect upon arriving Hanoi. Was skeptical at first cuz i read other reviews about through a catwalk but as i saw the alley was short and it literally took a few seconds from the alley to the hotel. Its not bad. Our flight was early but they allowed us to check in early and were super amazing. Customer service was great. Special thanks to Emma, Felix, Lia and especially the manager Selina and the rest of the staff who all did amazing and were always helpful. They always made our day brighter. Breakfast was great, simple but at least you get to pick how you want your eggs and the staff Kan was always energetic. Our room had two beds, toilet with bidet, amazing AC and everything that you need with exceptional housekeeping staff who changed and cleaned our room everyday.I jus wished they had more channels on the TV. Walking distance to Hoan Kiem lake and local stores and food and the hotel offers packages that you’d like to try while in Hanoi. In my experience this hotel was unexpectedly amazing and comfortable. Will definitely come back:)
There's a lot of either extremely positive or extremely negative reviews about this place, so I thought I'd make a more reliable and honest review. TL,DR; Good clean place, high value for money, amazing staff, meh breakfast. Highly recommended - feels like home. Location - this hotel is located towards the outskirts of old town/french quarter so it's a lot calmer and peaceful, and it's a good location for travel outside the city. That means it's a bit far from the markets, but honestly nothing is too far apart within old quarter. The hotel IS located in an alleyway but it's not hard to find and it's like 10 meters from the main road. Not a downside at all. Staff - I have been in contact with Emma even before we landed in Vietnam and she has been amazing with regard to everything! She's given us assurance about the negative reviews, recommendations of nearby locations, and even weather updates when we travelled out of Hanoi. Everyone in the staff has been simply amazing and so nice and helpful, to the point that it was unreal. Again, I highly recommend this hotel because of the feeling it gives. I stayed in several places during my Vietnam travel and this was my favourite!
I stayed at this hotel because of the good reviews on Booking.com. After paying upfront I decided to check the negative reviews as well and then I realized they were the true ones :D The rooms are very small, dirty, and the air conditioning did not work. We even had to change the room. No level of staff politeness can make up for a rundown hotel that does not deserve any stars although they proudly claim to have four. Just look at the photos, this is what they call an upgraded suite. A king size bed was actually two beds pushed together :D I will give one star for the breakfast buffet that was included in the price. Still, they could not fry me any eggs :D And my wife was served soup with chicken feathers in it. The staff did their best and I appreciate that, but the hotel management is a complete disaster.
