We stayed at NB Apartment Kim Ma for 2 nights, left our luggage there while joining a 3-day tour, and then returned to stay for another 3 nights. The apartment has an elevator, which made carrying luggage very convenient, and the check-in process was quick and smooth. The room was clean, spacious, and well equipped; the air conditioning worked well and the Wi-Fi was stable. There is also a kitchen with cookware, which is very convenient for preparing home-style meals. Ms. Hau, the housekeeper, is very friendly and helpful, and she took great care of us throughout our stay. The apartment also offers free laundry and drying service for guests staying two nights or more, which was a big plus. If I visit Hanoi again, I would definitely choose to stay here.

The Stay: My partner and I stayed at NB Apartment Kim Ma for 3 nights (Dec 26–29). This was our first time staying in a serviced apartment rather than a hotel. The Good: Location & Noise: The apartment is tucked down a narrow alleyway, which was a novel experience. A big plus is that the alley location made the apartment quiet at night. It is well located; the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is walkable (though wear comfy shoes!). The Room: The unit was spacious and well-appointed, making it suitable for couples, with more storage space than you will ever need. The mattress was quite hard, though I believe this is standard for North Vietnam. Amenities: Kitchen basics are covered with a microwave, induction cooker, rice cooker, and essential crockery. There are also plenty of power points. The Not-So-Good: Cleanliness: Cleanliness should be a priority regardless of the price point. We found hairs in the bed, which was disappointing. Bathroom Condition: The bathroom has a big shower, but the head was old and rusty, and the water pressure was weak. The basin was a bit grimy, and the towels provided were dull, grey, and of mismatched quality. No Windows: Be aware that there is no actual window looking out. There is a railed area for hanging clothes, but no outside view. Logistics & Service: Entry: Ring the doorbell on arrival; entry is controlled by card/fingerprint. Service: There is no traditional reception, just a small sign-in area. However, the owner’s contact is available upon booking and they are responsive via Zalo. Self-Service: You refill your own water from a filter in the lobby. If you want fresh towels, you must place the used ones in a receptacle by the door before 11 am. Verdict: A spacious option in a good location, but the bathroom maintenance and general cleanliness need significant improvement to meet basic standards.
Stayed here 2 weeks - loved it! If you need a balcony ask for *02 room. *01 doesn’t have a window to the street but I prefer no window because it’s quieter and still have a day time light. The host from Airbnb is great, the housekeeper is amazing. I’m fully satisfied. Also the wife is good, not as fastest but good. AC works perfectly. Down in the building there is a secure parking for your bike.
The Staff were friendly. Early check in was easy going. The Apartment was quite nice but the Badroom had some mock due to humidity. But the location is inconvenient. It is not too far from the Hoan Kiem Lake, but it is very noisy, all day and night, because it locates near to a busy Main Street - Kim Ma street. We were disappointed, that some reviews on booking.com said that it’s quiet 😅. No way to be quiet in the apartment even we closed the door. The balcony was very dusty and no chair or table to sit down. It was not relaxed to stay in the apartment. And the Bed was very hard, covered with plastic. That was not good for sleeping. We will not come back and recommend it.
I was really happy with my stay at this apartment. It is located in a serviced area and close to the old town. The apartment is extremely clean and quiet (perfect for sleeping). The mattress is a little hard, but nothing special. The staff is friendly and helpful. Free unlimited drinking water is available on the ground floor. Overall, great value for money. If I ever return to Hanoi, this apartment will definitely be my first choice.
