This hotel have change the name, the new name be LA PASSION, but if you have to find on google maps you have to find "Mon Regency hotel", if you click La passion on google, thats the different hotel, its mean you'll be on the wrong hotel. I mean there is another hotel with same name - la passion - too, in another area. Be carefull. The hotel is quite old, loby, restaurant, receptionist desk, the hallway. The bathroom, there is smell in the bathroom for two days i stay in, i think is from the drainpipe. The shower and bathub is prety small, (but In Japan more smaller). I heard some guest is complaining too about the hotel because the chastity in their rooms. The room are quite nice to stay, i can see the street from the window, the smell from the bathroom do not entering the room. They have hairdryer, and tea, coffe, the bed is nice i can sleep well for two nights. The room are old but its oke for me. You can hanging youre clothes on the wardrobe. The Restaurant, really enjoy the boild egg, the yogurth, poridge, pho, fruit, and dessert are really nice and good. They give us water to drink too, we can enter the restaurant and fill our bottle. Well sustainable so we not necesery bought water from the minimarket. Overall i recomended this hotel who is travel on budget. The porter is realy helpful and friendly, good🫶🏼 MON Regency Hotel - old quarter Hanoi Vietnam

This Hotel is located in the happening spot of the city and is accessible to most major tourist locations across the city. This hotel is now renamed to La Passion classic hotel as it seems to have been renovated recently. The rooms are clean and well maintained but the toilets seemed small compared to hotels I stayed at with similar cost. They offer complimentary breakfast for guests staying here and although less variety was offered, the taste was good.
We only stayed for 2 nights and felt this was about right for this kind of hotel. It’s not terrible but if you are staying a while in Hanoi, it’s best for people who are going to be out and about all day and all night as the rooms aren’t anything special. The hotel is situated on an intersection and you can hear the constant hum and horns from the traffic. In saying that, we were on the second floor and our window literally overlooked the intersection and we didn’t find it that difficult to sleep with the noise so maybe other reviewer are light sleepers. The location is great if you can tolerate the noise. The hotel is right across the road from an old water tank built by the French that is very Europeanesque and if you turn down one of the streets about a 3 minute walk are murals depicting the history and beauty of Hanoi life. We walked pretty much everywhere from the hotel and everything was 20 minutes or less away. We were shocked as on maps it looked further. For food nearby, I recommend Hanoi Modern Fusion. This was some of the best food we had during our time in Asia :-) The first night all the staff at the hotel were really friendly and had good sense of humour. The second day/night there was a different receptionist and he wasn’t as warm.
Everything was good except invasion of small and harmless ants, not a big deal but pretty annoying. Also we got a room with a broken window while they still had other rooms free. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good ( missing only fresh made omelet/ scrambled eggs how other hotels used to do), The reception guy was very kind and spoke nice English. The place is not loud and in a pretty nice location so it's perfect to take a rest.
I got a great night sleep here but you wouldn't want to hang out in the room. The mattress was comfortable. Bring ear plugs, it's right on a very noisy street! It was too warm in the room but not terrible because the weather is cool currently. The bathroom was .... Very low water pressure but there was warm water. Not very clean. Towels were extremely small and thin. No shampoo but they did give 2 toothbrushes and mini toothpastes and a mini soap, small comb and cotton buds. Breakfast was good 6am -7am.
