Jw Marriott Hotel Hanoi

There are a lot of hotels in Hanoi that claim to be 5 stars, but very few provide a 5 star experiences. This is one of the few that does. Everything exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we didn’t have to lift a finger for anything. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind, and the room was beautifully set up. My fiancé and I were celebrating our recent engagement and the room was decorated with flower pedals and chocolates were left for us to sample. Truly an amazing stay. We will return to Vietnam just so we can stay at this hotel again.

Phenomenal property, but make sure that your room is not damp upon check in. Room: The only reason I am not leaving 5 stars is due to the reason mentioned above, which I will touch on at the end. The room was absolutely stunning and luxurious. The bath alone was larger than some hotels in Tokyo, and there was plenty of room to work, relax, and take in the amazing views. I was upgraded to a high floor / preferred view for gold status, which was nice. The towels, toiletries, and amenities provided were all 10/10. Property: Massive and stunning. Between multiple restaurants, large gym, Looctaine spa, pool, bars, etc. it has everything you would possibly need for your trip to Hanoi. It is a bit far from the city center, about 35-40 minutes in a car depending on the traffic, but they do have a complimentary shuttle you can take 1 way into the city center (pre arrange this in advance). I personally visited the spa / sauna, and it was extremely relaxing and clean. Restaurants: Book the breakfast in your room rate. Each day the breakfast was absolutely massive and all of the offerings were very high quality and extremely flavorful. From local Vietnamese options to Japanese, Chinese, and western, you’ll have every option you could imagine. The salted cream foam iced Vietnamese coffee each morning was amazing. I also tried the French restaurant which was perfectly fine, yet not memorable. Service: The staff were attentive, kind, and went out of their way to make you feel wanted and respected. I genuinely feel they like their jobs here, and want all guests to have an amazing time. Ok, my one negative - When I was shown up to my room upon entering I smelt a slight mildew smell and also noticed a de-humidifier. I asked about it, thinking it was an AC unit, and was corrected. Right when I smelt the mildew / damp smell I should have said something and asked to be moved, but I thought it would go away with the AC being lowered and the de-humidifier running. However, it never really dissipated for the 4 days I spent at the hotel. On day 2 I asked housekeeping if they had an aroma diffuser, room spray, or candle i could use to make the smell better but they didnt have anything. Some of this is self inflicted as i should have just asked for a new room, but no room at a JW should have this kind of smell. I get that were in humid Vietnam, but the other Marriott properties I visited in the country (Sheraton, Renaissance, etc.) did not have this issue. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! Would I speak up next time if I didn’t like my room? Absolutely!

My husband and I recently stayed at JW Marriott Hanoi to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was truly a memorable experience. A special thank you to Tram Le (Paris) for the warm hospitality and thoughtful care throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after. The Executive Lounge was exceptional. I was genuinely surprised by the quality of the Korean dishes—they tasted remarkably similar to the food my mother makes at home. It was clear that a great deal of attention and care had gone into the preparation, and everything was absolutely delicious. The swimming pool, fitness center, and sauna were all outstanding and impeccably maintained. Beyond the facilities, the overall level of service and friendliness from every staff member was truly exceptional. Our stay was unfortunately too short, which left us wishing we had more time to enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. We would love to return and stay much longer on our next visit. Thank you for making our wedding anniversary so special and unforgettable. We look forward to returning to JW Marriott Hanoi in the near future.

This was, without a doubt, the greatest hotel stay I have ever experienced. The physical property is gorgeous, but the staff is what makes it legendary and makes you feel truly cared for. A massive thank you to the door team for their warm welcomes, the front desk staff for their seamless and friendly service, and the wonderful servers at both the Japanese restaurant and the JW Lounge. The level of genuine friendliness and outstanding service from everyone I encountered was mind-blowing. They didn't just meet expectations; they completely blew them away. The guest rooms are a dream—incredibly clean, spacious, and outfitted with the most comfortable beds and marble bathrooms. I was also thoroughly impressed by the fitness facilities and the spa area, where the clean, relaxing sauna and steam rooms made for a perfect daily retreat. Highest possible recommendation.
