It was a good hotel. Loved my stay there.
But the pictures where better than the view of the rooms. The rooms where a little out datet. The aircodition was not cleand in a long time. And was on 17 degrees but the temperature does not go down that much. More like 24+ degrees still afthere a hole day blowing.
But the staf was amazing really sweet and helpt with al the questions. Also the opend the pilates room to practis on your own if you asked.
The buffet was good enough good eggs good fruit and just the things you need to start your day!
The hotel is very nice. They offer halal breakfast and has halal certificate. The hotel also provides prayer mat for Muslim is very convenient. The staff Miss Chan is very helpful. The even arranged a surprise decoration for my daughter's birthday in the room.
Dante at the front desk was an absolute delight! Within 30 seconds of checking in, his warm and amazingly bubbly personality made me feel right at home. He speaks fluent English, and we quickly found ourselves laughing and swapping stories like old friends. As a solo traveler, that level of genuine hospitality meant the world to me. To top it off, he went completely above and beyond by taking the time to show me around the local area after his shift ended.
Another huge plus is that the hotel has a halal kitchen, and the surrounding area is packed with halal food options—making it absolute perfection for solo Muslim travelers. I will definitely be back and wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else!
The hotel is right at the center of Old Quarter so a lot of restos, cafes, and shops are walkable.
We got the penthouse room which is great for big groups -comfortable beds, big and clean bathroom, working water heater. It also features a 360 view since it has windows all around the room.
Staff is friendly and hospitable. I got into an accident in Sapa and they helped me get checked in a hospital in Hanoi. They contacted the nearby hospital and even booked my cab going there. I was very grateful for their assistance.
Definitely recommended
This hotel has a lot of potential but it needs improvement before I could recommend to another traveler.
The bad:
- the room was very hot and the air conditioning unit does not have enough power to effectively cool the room - either because it's too small for the room or it isn't fully functional. I raised the problem with the manager and nothing was done to help us.
- The shower wasn't fully functional: the main downward shower head wasn't working; however, there was a secondary handheld shower head that worked.
The good:
- the location is fantastic
the room was very well cleaned
- the hotel and our room has beautiful wooden antique furniture
- friendly and helpful staff - we really liked the housekeepers.
