Reviews
Overall, it's good.
However, it was disappointing that the in-room pillow covers prevented the use of the memory foam pillow’s benefits, the food selection was much limited compared to other five-star hotels, there was no Korean food despite the hotel being popular with Koreans, and the breakfast remained almost unchanged for five days.
Also, the club lounge was too underwhelming for the additional cost.
Who would pay for that? It was to the point of wanting it.
Everything else was good.
This review is about the restaurant and conference facilities of Daewoo Hotel because I havent tried the rooms yet (I live in Hanoi :P).
The food is excellent compared to other 5-star hotels around. My company organized 1 year-end party and several conference/classroom type activities here. As a participant, I enjoyed the atmosphere and teabreak, room setting, staff attitude etc.
Not trained workers and terrible supervisors.
So rude and arrogant staffs.
Very old hotel with very basic amenity absolutely unacceptable for a five-star hotel.
Terrible breakfast. You could find a food with eyes closed from second day. Very unpleasant workers in the breakfast restaurant.
I got really good impressions at Vietnam, but it has been broken caused by this terrible hotel.
The room was very clean and well-maintained. It happened to be my birthday during our stay, and the hotel surprised me with a gift of cake and wine. It was a completely unexpected and delightful surprise. I was also thoroughly impressed by the service provided by the staff. I would love to stay here again.
My 20th+ time stay—outstanding personal service that keeps me coming back! I have stayed at the Hanoi Daewoo Hotel more than twenty times now, and each visit only gets better. For last many trips, I stayed in a Club Room, and once again, the experience was absolutely flawless. What truly sets this hotel apart is its incredible team. The staff members are exceptionally friendly, warm, and deeply caring. The service here is highly personal—I love that the staff acknowledges me by name, which makes every interaction feel incredibly special and memorable. Even the small details are handled with immense care. For instance, whenever I walk through the lobby, the staff always makes sure to personally call and open the lift for me. That same exceptional hospitality extends upstairs to the Club Lounge. The lounge team took such wonderful care of me, anticipating my needs with genuine warmth and helpfulness. If you want top-tier service, fantastic amenities, and a team that genuinely cares about your experience, I cannot recommend the Daewoo enough.
