This stay was wonderful. The rooms were clean and quiet, and the location is quite close to a ton of great + popular eats. Erin was especially helpful and welcoming throughout our entire stay. The next time we come back to hanoi we will definitely be staying here.
We had a wonderful stay at the Grand du Lac Hotel in Hanoi and felt welcome from the very first moment. The hotel offers a beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, and a fantastic location for exploring the city. We would especially like to highlight Lilly and Jack at the reception. Both were incredibly warm, friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. Their genuine kindness and positive attitude made our stay truly special. They went out of their way to make sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of. It is people like Lilly and Jack who turn a great hotel into an unforgettable experience. Their hospitality really made a difference! A big thank you to the entire team, and especially to Lilly and Jack, for making our time in Hanoi so enjoyable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi!
Outstanding service, decor, dining, spa and this 5 star hotel. This will be my go to for Hanoi, from checkin to departure, treat you better than family. It's so relaxing to stay in an beautiful, clean and air conditioned room. Also roof top is gorgeous and made use of the gym. Breakfast was fresh and lots of options and made to order. Best use of time to do spa on the day before and of the long flight home. My facial took years off. Best sister vacation ever!
We were delighted with our stay at the Grand Hotel du Lac. It is ideally located, close to the lake, the old Guilds’ Quarter and the historic Colonial Quarter. The comfort is impeccable and the décor is elegant and tasteful. We particularly enjoyed the delicious and varied breakfasts, as well as the dishes served at the Ding Dong restaurant, where we had dinner twice. But what we will remember most is the kindness and attentiveness of the entire staff, and especially Luna at the reception desk and Anthony at the Ding Dong restaurant. The staff here is what truly made our stay that much more special. A huge thank you in particular to Kaisa, Roy, David and Eric, who spoke with us every day from the moment we arrived until the end of our stay. Whether they were helping us with our bags or directions, checking in on us or simply stopping to have a conversation, they genuinely made sure that every part of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were incredibly professional, but also so warm and personable, and our interactions with them often left us smiling. They really added something special to our time here. I also want to give a special shoutout to Lisa, who made the check-out process incredibly easy and smooth and gave us such a lovely final impression of the hotel. We made the most of everything the hotel had to offer, from the restaurant and spa to the rooftop bar, and genuinely couldn't fault our experience. The buffet breakfast had a great variety of fresh Western and Vietnamese options, as well as made to order dishes. We also ate dinner here twice because we couldn't stop thinking about the fall off the bone pork ribs and cheesecake (easily THEE best we've ever had!) The spa was wonderfully relaxing, while the rooftop bar was the perfect way to end our nights with beautiful views, great music, live performers and delicious drinks. The bartenders were also incredibly friendly and accommodating, even making off-menu drinks for us. They were so funny and great at making conversations! Our top-floor room was beautiful, clean and extremely comfortable, and housekeeping did an amazing job each day. Overall, it was the combination of the beautiful hotel, excellent facilities and genuinely wonderful staff that made our stay so memorable. We would absolutely stay again!
