This hotel was our home base for 5 days while we explored Hanoi, Ha Long Bay and the Pu Luong Nature Reserve. It was such a nice hotel to come back to when we were exhausted! The area is quiet and we slept soooo good on their amazing beds. The huge spa bath tub with amazing views was our favorite spot to be in the evening and this was the ONLY hotel on our entire trip to offer hair conditioner in addition to shampoo. The top floor was very quiet and we relaxed in our spa-like bathroom and fell asleep instantly. Our AC was very efficient and quiet and got the room freezing cold. However, the buttons were tricky and I understand why so many people complain that it doesn't work. You have to hit power again after changing the temperature. I couldn't figure it out the first evening. The rooftop pool was amazing and clean! My family loved the pool and we enjoyed swimming at night. The bar made the best cocktails we had the entire trip, and honestly they were some of the best cocktails we've ever had! Their bar staff is legendary! This hotel had laundry service for $5-10 our laundry bags were returned overnight to us. I really appreciated this service since we were traveling light and needed laundry done twice. The room service was pretty good and my son enjoyed the fried rice. They were very fast to deliver food and open late at night. The minibar was also good and I appreciated what they had for us when we arrived (waters, snacks, soda, beer, ramen). The staff is EXCELLENT. They were all extremely friendly and helpful and we were sad to leave. I appreciated how quick they were to open doors for us, take our bags, and check on us throughout our stay. The breakfast was okay, although there was one day where all of the hot food in the morning was Indian fusion food that we didn't enjoy and the pho tasted kind of funny. That day we ate at a cafe nearby. The other days were much better and there was plenty of seating for breakfast when we were there in April. If we came back to Hanoi, I would for sure stay at this hotel again! It's a gem and extremely affordable!
I visited Hanoi with my family and stayed here for two days. Thanks to Sekai Holidays India & LVP Travel, Vietnam for excellent arrangements. Impeccable service, clean and beautiful hotel. Variety of breakfast menu to start a happy day trip in Hanoi.
This hotel will probably be considered as a 5 star hotel for individual/family tours, but it is definitely not considered a safe hotel for primary school group tour. We have just returned back from a student trip to Hanoi and had used FTE hotel and we had concerns with safety issues. When we first checked in, the hotel informed us that the students'room will be spread across 5 levels, claiming that there are not enough rooms to cater to just 2 levels. This is despite the school has specifically requested for keeping all students's rooms to only 2 levels. As a results, the teachers' resources are spread very thinly in ensuring the safety of our students. On the first night, a teacher's assigned room has a key left in the keyhole when she checked into her roomafter receiving her card key and the hotel is very reluctant to change another room for her. Although the issue was finally resolved with our travel manager swopping room with her, the hotel has already been observed as irresponsible. On the second night, a parent went to the hotel to ask for the room of her daughter and the receptionist gave the room number without informing any teachers leading the students. This parent went on to ask her daughter for other children's room number and went around to other children's rooms causing distress to the children, thinking that stranger had been knocking on their doors. This has definitely breached the safety protocol of disclosing hotel occupants personal data. The hotel also do not have sound proof wall. Other hotel occupants knocked on their own hotel door or partied in their room late into the wee hours (1am to 3am) and our sleep had been affected. In conclusion, this hotel is good for personal tour but definitely not a good option for group children tour.
I loved this hotel! I booked the most basic room for a one night stay and the room was lovely. The bed was huge and comfortable, a large bath I could actually lie down in, nice amenities- toothbrush, hair conditioner, robe and slippers. The staff and service were flawless, I was brought a drink on arrival, had treatments in the spa and ordered room service and can’t say a negative thing about any of it. The breakfast was also wonderful- a big range of tasty food, with a live egg cooking station. Used the gym on the top floor for my workout and cooled down in the rooftop pool afterwards.
