We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and considering this is a prime location, I think the hotel offers great convenience. The location is excellent—right across from the central lake and Turtle Island. It is also within walking distance of the Old Quarter and many major attractions. The staff were friendly, and the room was cleaned well. The breakfast also had a good variety of choices, especially if you are not a picky eater. The only negative experience my whole family had was on August 7 2026. After our driver dropped our family off in front of the hotel entrance, there was an argument between the tour driver and one of the hotel bellboys. I’m not sure what the disagreement was about—possibly the parking space or how the luggage was being unloaded—but both men were speaking in very loud and heated tones. Regardless of who was at fault, I felt uncomfortable that my children had to witness this kind of behavior. They became a little scared, and I had to calm them down and reassure them that everything was okay and that it was nothing serious. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and really appreciated the hotel’s location and cleanliness. However, I hope the hotel can address situations like this in the future, especially when guests and children are present.
The breakfast buffet from this hotel is awesome! Giving you options of western cuisine and Vietnamese options. The staff is very cordial and accommodating. The drink from the roof top bar are not very good and do not recommend them. I’d recommend going out for drinks. We also attempted to order a bottle of champagne and they did not have any available. The gym is a bit small and limited but besides that it is a very good hotel.
A wonderful hotel in the very center of Hanoi's historic district, next to a lake and beautiful pagodas, surrounded by millions of shops and restaurants – an amazing vibe of an old, well-preserved city. The hotel has colonial-style architecture, very pleasant service, responsive reception staff, cozy rooms, all toiletries are provided and smell wonderful. Excellent breakfasts, delicious coffee. I stayed here for the second time and plan to come back again!
We didn’t stay in Apricot hotel we only used their spa facility. The hotel looks beautiful and we were looking for a five star massage. That was the reason we booked their spa. Unfortunately, our massage experience at the spa in Apricot Hotel Hanoi was very disappointing. We booked a 90-minute massage. My wife was satisfied with her therapist, however my experience was far from what you would expect at a five-star hotel. Halfway through the treatment, my therapist switched off the music and left the room without explanation. I assumed she might be getting hot towels or stepping out briefly, but she returned without towels and holding her phone. She then continued massaging my neck while using her phone, which was very unprofessional and disrupted any sense of relaxation. At the end of the session, she remained in the room while I was trying to get dressed, not giving me privacy. She then stayed and repeatedly demanded a tip, which made the situation extremely uncomfortable. She even followed me down the corridor asking for one. Given the higher prices compared to many other spas, we expected a true five-star experience and professional service. Sadly, it did not meet expectations, and what should have been a calming, high-quality spa experience was instead disappointing.
