Stop for the night - Nice with pool open til 22.30 so kids could swim. Room great

Decent hotel that exceeded some expectations but definitely did not meet others. We stayed for two nights, one night in a family room, and after dropping our daughter off for an overnight camp nearby, one night as a couple in the wellness suite. Pros: the wellness suite was quite nice. Great steam shower and two-person tub. Breakfast was excellent; I’d messaged the hotel prior about dairy free milk and gluten free bread and they had both ready for us. The servers in the restaurant were all great and all spoke English. Cons: the hotel is dated, with worn out, mismatched carpets in many hallways. The family room was definitely old, with a worn out couch and dated furniture. The sauna wasn’t available until 4pm. No blackout curtains in the wellness suite. There was an electric kettle in the room but no tea. A fireplace with wood and kindling in the wellness suite, but no matches or lighter. My husband and I each had a massage by Herr Pechalski at the spa; I would not recommend it. The oil was cold, there was no music (just the gurgling of his tummy, funny enough), and his technique was very odd. He essentially just rubbed oil into my skin, he didn’t go deep into the muscles. He massaged my stomach, during which my breasts were bared. And for both my husband and I, he left for 13-15 minutes in the middle of our ‘60- minute’ massage. I spoke to the front desk and the clerk said ‘that’s just how he does it’.

The best hotel I have ever tried with kids. They considered every details for a nice accommodation. They even considered Easter bunny to bring some presents for kids. We loved here.

Location is close to the safari park and that was very nice. Staff are super friendly and the pool is nice but beds were uncomfortable. I think the food was good. Just not amazing. Very clean.
