Guide Luke and Driver Chen picked us up from our hotel and held our bags until we were dropped off at the train station. My favorite part of the trip was the tea village as we ate a delicious lunch, roasted tea leaves, learned about the great benefits of green tea, and took nice photos. Another place I really enjoyed was imperial song street as the architecture combined with the retail created a very pleasant atmosphere. We wouldn’t have been able to get to this many places without Luke. The tour went very smoothly and I definitely recommend it to anyone who isn’t proficient in Chinese, wants to make the most out of a day, or just want to travel on easy mode. 😊

We thought the typhoon would mess up our trip, but it didn't. We took a cool photo at Peony Pavilion, posing like the Queen of the Women's Kingdom and Tang Monk. The place was so beautiful! We learned about the Alibaba story with great interest, tried the famous Longjing tea, and visited the old town of Hangzhou. Our guide Leo helped us pack all this into one day. What a great day!

Leo was my guide for a rainy day in Hangzhou’s misty forrest. He guided me the river from its spring to its downstream in the valley of the Nine Creeks. It is an easy and pleasant walk. It was an unique chance to try Chinese tai chi and qigong with a master from the national team - it was an impressive experience and I am certain that this memory will stick. Chen drove us just in time to the train station ensuring at all times a smooth transition between activities. I am very glad for all the organisation and Leo‘s impeccable execution. Looking back, some lunch in the greenery would have complemented the package nicely. If you are looking for some calmness, I can highly recommend this combination.

Our family of 7 booked a private tour of Hangzhou with Your Way Holiday. Our 8-hour tour began with a ferry ride on the west lake, followed by a visit to LingYin temple. For lunch, we had a delicious & authentic Zhejiang meal at a local restaurant in the tea village. In the afternoon we headed towards the new town area to see the Alibaba HQ. The last stop of the tour was the Gongchen bridge over the Grand Canal, a canal which was very important throughout China history. Hangzhou is a beautiful city and our guide, Leo, did a very good job to make us appreciate Hangzhou even more. He was informative, polite and took good care of us. We had an amazing trip to Hengdian World Studios with our guide Fanzhi and couldn’t be happier with the experience. We don’t speak Chinese so it was important for us to find English speaking guide. Fanzhi showed us many interesting and unique places in the studio that we would not have discovered on our own. The whole tour was well organized and truly enjoyable from start to finish. We highly recommend the tour (with the guide Fanzhi) to anyone looking for a fantastic and memorable trip.

Kelly our tour consultant did an amazing job curating this tour for our small family. June, our tour guide in Hangzhou is a genuinely nice and caring young lady whom took good care of my elderly parents, ensuring they were comfortable throughout the trip which was wonderful. Our driver was also a very pleasant guy, soft spoken and our car was really comfortable and clean. Had massage features and spacious for the 3 of us!

The trip was fantastic and super matching with the expectations. The lunch with the guide was great, it was the best selection and the restaurant is amazing also. Derek our tour guide made our trip to Hangzhou delightful. He is knowledgeable, informative and very entertaining in recounting the history of the Linying Temple and explaining the various statues depicting the 4 heavenly guardians, KuanYin and Buddha. A definite 5 star for him. The Westlake performance which we requested to be included in our tour is a big disappointment. Enduring Memories of Hangzhou (the show we watched) was not Zhang Yimou’s Impressions of Westlake (the show we wanted to watch). It seems the former replaced the latter in 2016. The former contained western classical music and ballet such as Swan Lake, Beethoven and Clair de lune etc As foreign tourists, the foreign content has no relevance to Hangzhou at all.

Our former visit to Hangzhou was more than 35 years ago. As Hangzhou had developed immensely, gladly we had a wonderful excursion on 3rd April, 2024 guided by BONNIE! Bonnie received us most friendly, shared the beauties of Hangzhou. Her knowledge of english language is excellent, her good mood is contagious! We had an awesome day in Hangzhou. Nancy was an expert guide. The tour was well planned and the sights were breathtaking. We have taken hundreds of photos as every angle afforded a picturesque view. And Nancy really 'framed the views'. We had a lovely lunch of authentic local cuisine at a little village restaurant. The food was amazing. It was a seamless experience booking with Your Way Holiday. They were very responsive to inquiries and arranged our train tickets from and back to Shanghai. We were happy, and so we booked another tour with them. This to Nanjing.

Had a great time with both the Hangzhou and Xian Guides from Your Way Holiday. Guides are passionate about what they do - which i think is super important. They are also knowledgeable and answer our burning questions~ we had a memorable time learning about the history of China. Everything was taken care of nicely, so very relaxing.

My husband and I had a wonderful time revisiting Hangzhou, after 30 years. We could set our own timetable. Which made it very pleasant. The van provided was clean and spacious. Could not have asked for more. The driver was very professional and our English speaking tour guide, Sam, was excellent. He was knowledgeable and polite. He was also a great photographer and helped us take some photos to preserve memory of our visit.

This was our first trip in China. We booked the tour for 3 cities: Hangzhou, Huangshan and Shanghai. We all love the services and arrangements. Tour guides are reliable and very helpful, especially Mr.Jack at Huangshan. I plan to go the Beijing next year and definitely will go with this tour again.

The tour guide Sharon and driver Mr. Guo were great. They met us at the airport and then led us around for two days, showing us many sights. Sharon was very knowledgeable and had excellent English language skills. Mr. Guo was a very good driver under difficult conditions since so many people were visiting Hangzhou.

There were a lot of things we wanted to pack into our brief stay in Hangzhou. "China Private Tour" helped us to customize the perfect high end itinerary - we saw everything we wanted to, and even more! The bullet train tickets were delivered on time, a driver picked us up at our hotel in Shanghai, and dropped us at the train station. Once in Hangzhou, we were welcomed by the charming and knowledgeable guide SHARON. Sharon was by far the best guide we had on our whole tour through China! Her English was perfect, and she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, happy, and safe! She is a diamond! "China Private Tour" is definitely not a cheap company, but you also don't get a cheap service: this is expensive, but high end luxury travel :-)

Our guide David is kind and very humorous guy. He know everything which we asked regarding Hangzhou history, culture, people and etc. he speaks English very well and considered route, food, further last our journey. Car was clean and his driving also calm. He recommended restaurant for lunch and it was good and very nice place. Hangzhou is not easy city you travel alone especially if you don’t speak Chinese. Try with David first and maybe last of journey will be easier. I definitely recommend this trip and also our guide David you will not disappointed. 가이드인 데이빗은 착하고 유머있는 사람이었습니다. 그는 항저우의 역사 문화 사람등에 대해 매우 잘 이해하고 알고있었고 영어도 능숙했기에 매우 편했습니다. 가이드 루트 뿐 아니라 식사장소 그리고 남은 개인 여행일정에 대해서도 조언해주어서 도움이되었습니다. 픽업차량은 넓고 깨끗하고 운전은 매우 얌전했습니다. 특히 항저우는 영어를 하는 사람이 드물고 관광지가 떨어져있기에 하루 정도는 투어서비스를 이용하는 것도 그만한 가치가 있습니다. 가이드였던 데이빗을 매우 추천합니다.

We booked private half-day tour, our English speaking guide, Sharon, is very nice young lady... she explains in details ..... we visited all the places that were stated in the itinerary... no complain on the car and driver too, all gave us a satisfactory services.... One of the highlight was trying out home cooked dishes for lunch, a special arrangement by Sharon.....

I saw more, learned more, and had a better time, during the one day we were showed around Hangzhou by our private tour guide, than all the other days in Hangzhou combined. This is really a good idea, especially if you are a westerner and have to deal with the language barrier. I can get around most countries without speaking the language, but China is different. Outside of hotels, you'll find almost no one who speaks anything other than Chinese and you won't be able to read many signs, etc. Our tour guide met us at the hotel, with a driver in a nice vehicle and took us to the places we were interested in. Just two of us, the guide and driver. Her name was Bonnie, and she spoke very good English, had a great attitude and I want to say a million thanks to her for the great job she did. I give this tour service my highest recommendation. 5+ stars.

My private evening tour was excellent! Bonnie, my guide, was very knowledgeable not only about Hangzhou but all China. We had a delicious meal at a local restaurant, it was simple but really good and with wonderful samples of many local dishes. We drove around town and saw many sites in the city and saw a fantastic light show display on the buildings of the city. I definitely recommend this tour!

We had a one day trip to Hangzhou last weekend. We had little time to visit the most important attractions in this city and we needed to make the best of our time. Our tour guide was Nancy, who did a great job on this tour. Since the beginning, they arrived very punctually and we started on time. The van provided was very suitable for us, with air conditioning. During the tour, we followed the schedule, visiting the West Lake, Lingyin Temple, Longjing Green Tea Plantation and Bamboo-lined path. The scenery is really incredible. You can have a mix of nature, history, food, culture, all at the same time in one day. In this case, our guide Nancy showed a lot of energy and knowledge during the tour. She provided detailed explanation of each place. In fact, Nancy was able to answer our questions related to the west lake and the monks' history and culture. Furthermore, we had lunch in a local house in the Green Tea Plantation. Having language barriers, Nancy helped us to understand and order the food, which was really really good (especially the chicken cooked with tea). Something to highlight was that during the tour day, Nancy provided advice and helped us to contact airline company since they cancelled our flight ticket for that night. In summary, I strongly recommend taking this tour, ask for Nancy as your tour guide. You will have an excellent experience and will have a lot of fun.

Our guide Rebecca was waiting for us and ready to take us on tour of Hangzhou West Lake. We had 4 of us in the group and the private tour and information that Rebecca provided was excellent . Rebecca had recommended that we leave early 9am , to be able to get to the boat before the crowds and the heat . Thank goodness for her advice! We were able to walk right up to the boat center and boat ride and tour Westlake it prior to all of the crowds arriving. Along the way stunning view of Westlake and tons of picture we took . Rebecca bought us to famous Seven Villa for lunch .What a favourite spot LUNCH were delicious ! We had a great time and Rebecca was a wonderful tour guide. When we go back to Hangzhou , we would like to use Johnwu Private tour for a multi day tour of Hangzhou . I would highly recommend her if you want special and memorable days in Hangzhou .

I was in Hangzhou during the last week of April and took a day tour around the City. The only problem i faced in Hangzhou was the communicating with the native people and with our guide, David, who was speaking fluent English, our outing turned out to be a great experience. He took us around the West lake area, boating in West lake, Bamboo forest, temples, tea estate and Hangzho's shopping area. He also had taken us for a nice lunch at the local farmer's hotel, Overall was a very great experience and I highly recommend him for future tours. Thanks

We booked a 2 days tour in a group of family with 4 elderly and our tour guide Nancy is very caring and knowledgeable. We had a great time with Nancy. Highly recommend Nancy as an excellent guide and person.

First time in my life I took a private tour while travelling. It was awesome. Our guide was David and he had a perfectly fluent English, which is not a common thing in my experience. He drove us to a tea plantation, bamboo forest, temple, we had a wonderful lake ride with a boat and a lunch which was prepared by local farmers. After that we even had spared some time and he drove us to New Hangzhou. It was an absolutely wonderful experience that we would never be able to do ourselves in a single day.

Our day trip to Hangzhou was definitely one of the highlights of our 8 day China trip. Davey (David) was extremely knowledgeable, funny, sincere, and helpful. The day could not have gone better. From West Park, to Farmer's House for lunch to the Dragon Well plantation, and Lingyen Temple, everything was perfect. Even the train station pickup and drop off was meticulously planned. However I cannot state enough how well David did on the tour. His knowledge of the history of Hangzhou made our trip very educational as well as relaxing. Highly, highly recommended.

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Hangzhou Guided Tours Guide Service. They created a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere from the begining! The guide and tour was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) and for that deserves a special thanks. David was incredibly knowledge and served as an interpreter, which was an added value and surprise. David is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!). I truly enjoyed walking and driving through the area. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The West Lake ending was a great way to end our experience. The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home. We booked a last minute trip to Hangzhou to take my parents to a different side of China. China private tours was absolutely amazing. Very responsive, thorough, reasonable price. David was our tour guide and I would absolutely recommend him and we would book another tour with him. He created a custom tour to see the sights and many gardens as my mom was interested in more nature activities. We covered so much ground in two days and would not of had the same experience without him. His knowledge about the history of the sites, gardens, Hangzhou in general, Chinal, tea, etc was impressive. He had an answer for just about everything. He spoke fluent English and organized everything to the last detail. We were traveling with a two month old baby as we live in Shanghai and he was very detail oriented to work around the baby. Book any tour in Hangzhou with David. You will not regret it for a second.

we had a wonderful time touring around 西湖 with Sam..want to learn and know about Hangzhou 西湖 etc, grab Sam - well verse in English and Mandarin, very energetic, knowledgeable and know exact spots for great pictures!
