Our trip was an unique experience with our guide, Wenwen, who was really kindly and gave us a lot of information not just about Bamboo Forest and Tea Plantation, but China as well. The driver service was very comfortable and punctual. I can highly recommend them! Beáta-Hungary

We had a fantastic morning exploring the bamboo forest and Longjing Tea Village near Hangzhou. The scenery was beautiful, peaceful, and offered a great insight into the region’s culture and natural beauty. A special mention goes to our guide, Buyi, who was outstanding and deserves 5 stars himself. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area, tea cultivation, local traditions, and the bamboo forests. His English was excellent, making everything easy to understand and allowing us to ask plenty of questions throughout the tour. The tea experience was a highlight, giving us the opportunity to learn about Longjing tea directly from the source and appreciate the craftsmanship behind it. Walking through the bamboo forest was equally memorable and provided a perfect contrast to the bustling cities. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hangzhou, especially if you’re interested in nature, culture, and authentic local experiences. Thank you, Buyi, for making it such an enjoyable and informative day!
Dear Alana, thank you very much. Today we had very nice trip. Jane is very good guide. Her knowledge is very deep and English is very clear. We had very nice walk in Dragon Well tee plantation area! Bamboo forest was also beautiful! The car was very fresh and the car manager was very professional! Thanks a lot! Nice to have a chance to have travels with your company once again.
This tour was very professionally run - the operator contacted me the night before to confirm details (in fluent English), and our guide WenWen was there right on time to greet us. She was a super-nice lady and we really enjoyed the time we spent with her touring the bamboo forest and the tea plantation. She had a great deal of knowledge on the tour items and Hangzhou itself. The driver was great too, drove like a chauffeur, which we loved. I highly recommend this tour...
Enjoyed my tour with Lin very much. She was knowledgeable and friendly about the area, local culture.
The service was impeccable. I appreciated how knowledgeable Wenwen is in Hangzhou history and was very nice to me throughout the trip. The driver service was great too. Offered to drop me off anywhere and was able to handle the traffic well. Definitely would recommend them to your future customers.
This was one of the best guides we ever had! Mr Pan aka Tony and Alana helped us design the perfect itinerary for our trip. We kindly asked them to include a visit to the West Lake and the Lingyin Temple and they helped us arrange the day so that we also visited the bamboo forest and went for tea and the tea fields before kindly dropping us off at the train station and also making sure we found the gate and we boarded. Tony is extremely considerate and adapted the entire trip to fit my mom’s needs who had a sore leg. His expertise is impressive and he shared a wealth of knowledge about the region, each of the attractions we visited and also more generic about China. His personality is pleasant and open with loads of great references to the modern world included in his descriptions as well as great funny stories. We are so grateful for having had Tony as our guide as he made our day. Many thanks Tony for the great day and please also pass our regards and thanks to our amazing driver who was patience and always on time as well as very considerate when it came to my parents. Additionally many thanks to Alana who helped us build the perfect itinerary.
A group of adult family travelers (including an elderly but mobile parent) wanted a low stress easy pace half day tour where we could just sit back, relax, and take things easy while soaking up Hangzhou’s natural sights. The itinerary was well paced, we were picked up from our hotel in a swanky Chinese EV (the future of transportation!) at 9am towards our first stop at the Bamboo Forest. Our guide,Tony, who was warm and knowledgeable, gave us a good overview of facts of the region. Even though it was drizzling, the experience was still lovely; we could take multiple walking stops to recharge, take photos, or just savour the glorious old trees in the bamboo forest. Post forest, we visited a tea farmers house and plantation. Authentic, and beyond the shine of the new skyscrapers or government road scapes, the hostess was warm. The climb required a little more effort for certain folks, but the view was dreamy like from a Chinese Xian Xia drama. We had to purchase our tea (just think that these are high quality tea- and if you are a coffee drinker think Fair Trade Single Origin Arabica) . Post tea plantation, a gorgeous and delicious restaurant for lunch. We had some dietary requirements but all were Comfortably accommodated. Would totally book with this tour operator again.
We did the afternoon tour with dinner. It was very convenient to be picked up at our hotel and Tina was waiting for us a little before the pickup time. First we went to the bamboo forest and walked around and saw the very old trees. The car ride wasn’t too long and Tina shared a lot of fun facts about the area with us on the way. The second half of the tour at the tea farm was also very beautiful and we enjoyed trying the tea at dinner. I would highly recommend!
Our tour with Rebecca was absolutely amazing! The service of Rebecca and driver was more than good, it was just perfect. Rebecca is a lovely and nice person. She has so much knowledge about chinese culture and history. We learned a lot, enjoyed the tour and the very good and tasty lunch and always felt safe while driving. All in all it was a really great trip!
A refreshing walk to the bamboo forest and tea garden. Rebecca, our guide, has done an excellent job. She explained the history cultture, and people related to the Yunqi forest. She also clearly explained the tea production in Longjing village. She has a pleasant personality and responsive to our needs. We have an excellent lunch at The Green Tea Restaurant. A place that favours by local. 5 stars!
Very nice experience. We had a nice time and the guide could share a lot of insights from China and the region. Very flexible and high quality service
After working in Hangzhou all week, I was looking for something peaceful and away from crowds. Th visit to the bamboo forest achieved this. I would say it was a very expensive way to achieve it. The guide was excellent and zi feel I have made a friend in Rebecca, who I will ask for in future visits. The lunch was excellent at a lovely local restaurant.
My guide was incredibly kind and helpful. The tour was beautiful and did not feel rushed at all. There have been other tours that feel rushed, but this one is well worth it.
What an amazing tour! Lin was the best guide and provided my with the best experience. She was knowledgeable, patient and just a joy to be around. I highly recommend this tour if you are in the Hangzhou area!
We had a wonderful trip trough tea plantations and bambo forest, very relaxing. The dinner was in a restaurant well known by locals, really nice and eccellent food. Rebecca has been an extremely professional and careful guide
We had a great time on this trip! Despite the rainy weather, we really enjoyed ourselves. The guide was very helpful and informative, making the experience both fun and educational. Lunch was also quite nice and added to the overall enjoyment of the day. Would definitely recommend!
We r visiting Hangzhou and joined the Amazing Shanghai for a half day tour. We were greeting by our friendly tour guide WenWen. WenWen is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient lady. She came early to meet us and we were very happy to have her as our guide.
Truly amazing day spent seeing spectacular bamboo forest and touring tea plantation. Our guide was friendly very knowledgeable and fun! Had a wonderful lunch and just all around great time!
Was a Interessting trip, our tourguide Doris was very experienced and could explain to us many insight stories about historical events from hangzhou.
Half day tour -- very enjoyable with a very personable English speaking guide. If you like a nature walk the Bamboo Forest is nice and peaceful. Note that it is uphill along the side of a mountain, so be prepared for some moderate hiking. Because it is not the season, did not actually get to see a working tea plantation. So the "Tea Plantation Experience" was skipped. However, visit to the China National Tea Museum was informative, educational, and well signed in English. Great overview on the history of Chinese tea and tea drinking culture. Dinner was tasty, well prepared, and eaten in a "tea house" style restaurant. All together an enjoyable experience.
Despite the rain that the weatherman said would not come it was a great experience. Zoe took his time and explained everything well. Lunch was excellent and ordered by Zoe. The tea museum was great and the views still good despite the rain. Highly recommended!
Doris was a super friendly & knowledgable guide who was very willing to help us & share stories or history with us from the moment we met in Hotel lobby until we got dropped off on the next site we wanted to visit. The bamboo forest Is so lovely with all that green, calm atmosphere. Only a few tourists. We were lucky to hear birds singing and it was a pleasant walk to some nice pavilions. Be prepared to walk a few kilometers for this part but the pace is slow and environment so nice so you will likely not be bothered about the distance. Doris was happy to help with group pictures. Then we went on to the tea villages and enjoyed the nice view of the hills covered in tea plantations. We got to walk up to a pavilion popular to the locals that was completely surrounded by Tea fields. Very nice views & great pictures. Then we had a tasty lunch that was customized according to our desires and completely included in tour cost. We got quite a lot of food and nice Dragon well Tea and even some beers. As a bonus on our own desire Doris arranged to drop us off at Lingyin temple and made great recommendations on what to see. She also wrote a list on other places to see and restaurants for the rest of our own Hangzhou trip. Great Day all-in-all!
After last year’s visit, I came back with my family and saw the beautiful and lush bamboo forest and teplantage that lies in a very beautiful hilly landscape. The tea ceremony offered tasting and good professional knowledge. We had a skilled and dedicated guide Minna, who in spite of the great busy because of the Chinese holiday got made a really good trip for us. We ended up at a good restaurant that she had chosen.
We had a lovely trip. Our guide was good at English, informative and friendly The bamboo forest was lush and beautiful and it was a nice walk The tea plantation and ceremony was also a good experience The food was delicious and good
The pick-up from the hotel was perfectly punctual. The guide speaks perfect English. It was really a pleasure to discover part of Hangzhou with them
Nice half-day trip, which is quite suitable for families with young children. The bamboo forest is great for cooling off in summer and the tea plantations are definitely worth a trip to escape the city. In summer, the tea plantations are almost empty of tourists.
