Our guide Mina whisked us from the hustle and bustle of Hangzhou railway station to a boat ride on the serene West Lake sharing stories of folklore and history. She then took us to the temple which despite the heat and business she made a wonderfully interesting experience-it was so good to have her there to explain the symbolism we otherwise would have missed. Mina then took us to a delicious local restaurant where she helped us order food. Finally we visited the tea village which was beautiful and gave us a chance to meet a tea expert-be prepared to buy tea! Throughout it was so clear that as a Hangzhou local Mina was proud to show off her beautiful hometown and we're very grateful for her sharing it with us!

Wenwen was amazing!!! She was so knowledgeable about Hangzhou and the several legends that involved Hangzhou. She made sure I was comfortable and answered all my questions. I had an amazing time, it made me regret not booking a full day!

Buyi, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and overall it was a fantastic experience! His communication was excellent, and he also very kindly sent us recommendations for our remaining days in Hangzhou. Our driver was also great and arrived early at our hotel.

We had a wonderful day touring Hangzhou with Minna. She was a really exemplary tour guide, knowledgeable and very diligent in touching on all points of interest, all the while being patient with us (both of us in our 70s!). We learnt a lot from her and her exposition of the sites we visited, especially the Lingyin temple and the Feilai Fung grottoes. As serious students of Buddhist history, we found Minna's tour significantly contributed to our knowledge. We would highly recommend her to other visitors. The gentleman who drove us around was warm, friendly and very accommodating.

I booked a half-day tour to discover the highlights of Hangzhou with my two teenagers (ages 13 & 15). We spent a fantastic day with Lily, our guide, and our driver. Lily helped us plan the day's visits according to our wishes. She suggested additional places to see and organized exciting, interactive visits. We had the most vivid memories there!!! Lily is knowledgeable and shared her love for Hangzhou with us, always taking care of our comfort and doing her best to help us enjoy local specialties. Our driver was great: a large and immaculate car with AC. He drove us safely and was always right on time to pick us up. Alana was our WhatsApp contact who made sure everything went smoothly between us and our guide. She followed the experience proactively from A to Z. Her online presence was very reassuring. I did the afternoon tour with WenWen as we did a day trip from Shanghai which included Gongyan imperial lunch in Hangzhou (highly recommend). Pickup was at 2 pm, original itinerary was WestLake tour with boat ride, tea plantation, and Heifang historic area. We ended up nixing tea tour but Wenwen and the driver were so accommodating of my wife and kids being tired. Every step of the way she was very thoughtful and has a wealth of knowledge on Hangzhou and Chinese history. In the end we had to leave back to Shanghai earlier than anticipated and she helped us change the train tickets. Highly recommend Wenwen!

If there's one word to describe this operator, I'll just say 'excellent'. Lulu our guide is not only knowledgeable but her planning is great, speeding up at areas when she sensed boredom, but diving into details when she saw much interest in my group. Having said that, the operator even extended our half day to a full day tour just to accommodate all the spots which we wanted to see. Highly recommended operator!!

We’ve been lucky with the season, weather, tea harvesting time as well. But that would not work without the local guide which was just amazing: educated, polite, listening the questions and having great understanding of the local life.

Lin was a delightful and thoughtful guide on our tour of Hangzhou. It was interesting to hear about the history and the stories of these key sites as well as learn more about the culture (both past and present). She tailored the tour to our needs and interests and was flexible with last minute changes/requests during the tour. She also helped me get some tea and silk shopping done at my request. I’m so glad she was with me as I would have struggled to communicate what I was looking for on my own. My father and I really enjoyed our time with Lin. We highly recommend her.

Where do I even start… everything was absolutely perfect about this tour. Lin made the day so special. She not only taught me so much about Hangzhou and the stops we made, but also about China and its rich history. I’ve made a friend in Lin and I’m so grateful for that. As for the places, make sure you stop at Green Tea for lunch. The food is amazing! This Half-Day Flexible Private Hangzhou Highlight Tour is perfect for us because my husband and I were only in town for a couple of days and we were travelling with our 7 year old daughter, so we wanted something more relaxed and flexible. Our local tour guide Wenwen was very knowledgeable and kind. With her over 20 years of experience, she shared a wealth of information about the places we chose to visit: Lingyin Temple, West Lake and Hefang Street. And being a mother herself, Wenwen was very accommodating of the needs of my 7 year old daughter who was with us in the tour like stopping by snack and toy shops. We especially appreciated the local restaurant she took us to for dinner—she recommended popular local cuisine that she and her family enjoy so we enjoyed it too. Mr. Guo was our private car driver and he was a very good and safe driver. Having a private car made travelling to the different places very convenient and comfortable especially with a child in tow. Highly-recommended tour!

Wonderful half day tour of West Lake, Lingyin temple and tea plantation. Tour guide May was very knowledgeable about the sites and flexible. My teenage son and I had an excellent visit and learnt so much. Very comfortable private car. May also helped us with suggestions for dinner. West Lake is stunning.

My tour with Pan (aka Tony) was amazing! He was a wealth of knowledge on Hangzhou and all the sights we saw and then some with his excellent recommendations. We ate traditional Hangzhou dishes and every single one was a hit. October was a bit too late to pick tea at Longjing but as a consolation we got to try out the gear and view the fields. Afterwards, we relaxed and tasted tea with a local farmer which is safe to say a one-of-a-kind unforgettable experience. I initially booked a solo tour but had a family member join last minute and both Tony and Alana were very accommodating. Tony was also extremely flexible on specific things I wanted to make sure we had the time to do and the drop-off location after the tour to make the most of my trip.

We had an amazing time on our tour with Lin. We came during the plum rain season, so it was raining A LOT. However, Lin made our tour very enjoyable. We were picked up in a comfortable big car and Lin also came prepared with two big umbrellas. We started our tour at the lake, which was absolutely gorgeous. Then we went to the Lingyin, which looked incredible with all the carved statues. Lin is very knowledgable, so she told us a lot about the culture of China - both past and present. After that, we had lunch at a beautiful restaurant and tried some delicious local dishes. We finished our tour with a quick drive to the Longjing tea village where we admired the vast hills of tea bushes. Our guide Lin went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. She even gave me her jacket at one point as I was feeling chilly. I also don't think we would have explored so many places in one day if it wasn't for the tour - very happy!

We had a fantastic tour of Hangzhou with Mr. Pan as we got see West Lake, Buddha temple and also the tea plantations. Lunch was fantastic as well, definitely recommend it.

This tour went incredibly smooth, i hope everyone that book this tour will get Wen Wen as a tour guide, because she is someone really out of this world, nice person i ever met really! She really helped us like a mom, make sure everything was clear and also she brought us to have one of the best dinner we had in China so far. She really passionate about her work and i really hope to meet her again in our lives. I want to thanks also Alana, that wrote us before and make sure after the tour that everything went good. The service is really a top level one. About the tour we visited the temple, the west lake and tea plantation, unfortunately this period is already gone for tea picking, so my suggestions is to do that maximum in early April. If i have to say something, it would have been great to know that before, as we expected a more engaging experience. We also choose to go at Pavillon in west Lake during sunset and both driver and Wen Wen, make sure to accommodate our request. Book this tour and experience and you will never regret! I was visiting Hangzhou for the first time and wanted to learn more about its history and visit famous places. My tour guide, Doris, was kind and experienced. We walked along the lake while she shared the history of the place and the habits of its citizens. Later, we moved to the temple. I recommend avoiding it on weekends, as it can get extremely crowded. The nicest part was visiting the tea plantations, which are actually within the city itself. If you have enough time and energy, you can go hiking there and enjoy beautiful views. Afterwards, you can try the tea and local farmer's food.

The perfect day trip in Hangzhou surroundings. Visiting the Ling Temple, the West Lake and tea village during harvest. Lin is a most experienced and very kind tour guide with great English skills. This is really recommended.

I was in Hangzhou for business but decided to take a half day tour around this place as well. Hangzhou is indeed amazing, and it is definitely worth visiting it! We have taken a boat tour on West Lake, visited a Temple with unique statues carved in the rock, seen a tea plantation, had lunch at a tea house. The views were fantastic! Many thanks to our guide Wen Wen. She was great, really knowledgeable and attentive.

Contacted me via WeChat to ask for preferences of things to see and once we arrived at the station Cindy was waiting to pick us up. The tour provided a comfortable car for transport throughout which was highly appreciated. Our guide 稻草人 was also very detailed in her explanations of the various sites and was happy to accommodate our preference to prioritize the Longjing tea village visit. Overall is a great way to get to know Hangzhou if you’re short of time!

We visited West Lake, tea fields in Longjing, had a wonderful time in a local farmer's house drinking cups of tea, then had a delicious and consistent meal in a local restaurant, and finally a tour of Lingyin temples. Our guide Carol gave us lots of information about Chinese history and culture and the driver was always here on time to pick us up without delay. A fantastic afternoon/weekend. A truly inspiring trip to the tea valley, very romantic indeed, a beautiful temple, with thousands of buddhas, and a gigantic pagoda with the best view at the city ever. Very nice and informative guide and a great driver, this was a wonderful experience, indeed!

It's amazing tour with Lin. We have a very good time with her visiting the West Lake, the Lingyin Temple and the Longjing Tea village. Lin has made a very good schedule suitable to our short timing. We have had also very tasteful, delicious dinner at Green Tea restaurant on the way back to our hotel. Lin is super fluent in english, she very helpful and funny. We love to talk with her during our tour.

Because of 100% satisfied with the first tour with this tour Agency in Shanghai we have decided to take another tour to visit the next point on our way in China. Hangzhou. We had just to 24h to visit the the city and take the half day tour was the best decision. We have met our Lady-Guide Xin and our driver at the railway station and we were taken to the highlights of Hangzhou with the comfortable car. Xin has explained us many interested stories about Hangzhou and accompanied us at the all attraction: West Lake, Temple and Tee "mountains". It was great to visit the all places during the tour. Because it was the second tour with the same Agency, 200% recommendation.

This was a half-day tour in Hangzhou. Alana picked me up timely from the train station and navigated through great tourist sights. She made adjustments based on the weather and I definitely got great introduction to the city. This tour is highly recommended.

What an amazing trip! Alana was wonderful. Knowledgeable. Willing to change the timings or sites to what I wanted to see. Had a delicious lunch. Highly recommend. I only had a half day in Hangzhou and she packed it full! She even helped me get back onto the correct train at the end of the day.

It was a such a good day. Kids were super happy but exhausted. We loved it. We thought Doris (tour guide) was absolutely great and very thoughtful and nice. She was the best tour guide. We went to so many good places. She also brought us to a great restaurant. We also learned so much culture! It was helpful to have an English speaking guide.

The whole experience was great! Alana was super organized, friendly and knowledgeable. She is perfectly bilingual (Mandarin and English) and very flexible (we booked rather last minute and changed the start time and were accommodated with no issues). The lunch was delicious 🤤 and Alana was so great with my young daughter! It was very hot so we wanted to cut the tour short but Alana convinced us to see the tea plantation and it was beautiful.
