A good business hotel with a few minor shortcomings I stayed two nights at The Westin Ningbo during a business trip. The hotel is modern, although not particularly new, and seems to be well maintained. The location appeared convenient, with several shopping malls nearby and a pleasant walkway along the river. It's also not too far from the train station, although I didn't have much time to explore the area. The rooms are comfortable and in good condition. Breakfast was perfectly fine, with a large dining area and a reasonable selection, although nothing particularly memorable for a hotel of this category. The gym is quite spacious and well equipped. There's also an indoor pool and an executive lounge, although I didn't use either during my stay. My only real complaint concerns the windows. They can apparently be opened, but not by guests, and the one in my room didn't seem to close completely. As a result, quite loud music from outside was clearly audible on the first night, despite being on a relatively high floor. The staff were friendly throughout. Overall, a perfectly good hotel for a business trip. Nothing particularly outstanding, but apart from the noise issue, nothing much to complain about either.

The hotel was just across the road from the very centre of Ningbo City, the Tienyi mall. It is an open mall with ponds and bridges, and nightly music and sound shows. A wide range of food and beverage literally outside the hotel. The hotel itself did not seem that large with only a small number of rooms on each floor. It was a little dated but well maintained and clean. Breakfasts had good choices but average in quality. Not a place if you value luxury but ideal for convenience and sightseeing
Customer service (if U speak Mandarin) is top notch! A bit surprised with the low rating. Then again I usually stay in non-branded niche luxury rather than big chains. Hotel views are average but not the hotels fault. It is probably 1 of the most convenient location in all of Ningbo very close to shops & decent restaurants. Yes maybe I agree this particular Westin doesn't spell "luxury" but I don't need my ego & other body parts stroked. Easy to order Meituan fast food with locker box directly outside. I highly recommend staying on "East Green Lake" for 2 nights if visiting Ningbo. Don't expect too much from Putuoshan other than treating it as a pilgrimage n enjoying the ocean of human heads. Suitable for families if U book correct room type like a princess room.
Overall: Lower quality than average Westin. Looks and feels dated (in the photos is looked much more modern). Rooms: Great size (took large 2 twin bed). Bed is not the usual Westin heavenly and was very soft. Bathroom was small. General appearance of the room was dated, dirty, and not very nice. Location: Good that is right in the middle of the city, but very crowded and noisy area (could hear noise all night on the 27th floor. Food: breakfast was below average for 5 stars in china Service: Great, very attentive
Reception area is presentable though not reflecting a 5-Star hotel. Room design is nice but some stuff are not working properly, eg. control of lights is a pain... if i switched off the "main switch" next to the bed, it can't be turned on by the same switch, i've to walk in the total darkness to the switch at the entrance to turn on the lights. WiFi doesn't work without a China mobile number and worst of all, it has very weak signal. The breakfast at L2 is mediocre with little variety. At best, this Westin could be only a sub-4Star Hotel.
