We stayed at Mild Spring Hotel for three nights with our two teenage sons, and it was one of our favourite accommodations during our trip to China. The hotel is in a very convenient location, making it easy to explore the surrounding area on foot and enjoy the atmosphere of Tunxi. We booked a split-level room, which was perfect for our family. The room was cosy and comfortable, and the building itself had a charming traditional character that added to the experience. The beds were firm and provided a great night's sleep. Jason, the host, and his wife both spoke English very well, which made communication easy. Jason also arranged a car to pick us up from Huangshan North (Huangshanbei) Railway Station, and in hindsight that was definitely the right choice, as the hotel appeared under a slightly different name on Amap and we might have ended up at the wrong location. One of the highlights of our stay was visiting Huangshan. Jason gave us detailed route recommendations and practical tips that were incredibly helpful, especially since we found it difficult to locate clear information online before our trip. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay and would highly recommend Mild Spring Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay while experiencing the local charm of Tunxi in a convenient location.

What a great way to discover all the beauty and history of huangshan. The owners made us feel so welcome and told a lot about the region and city. It's a serene place, great breakfast, nice modern Chinese rooms, great tips and lovely tea! Only recommandations to be honoust!
This was one of the best hotels we stayed at in China — a true gem with exceptional hospitality. The whole place is beautifully designed in a traditional Chinese style, full of warmth and charming details. The location is perfect, right on the main street, ideal for exploring the old town and enjoying the atmosphere of Huangshan. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, guided us through the mountain route, and made us feel genuinely cared for. Breakfast was another highlight — delicious, traditional, and very authentic. I truly hope more travelers discover this place. It’s the perfect base for experiencing Huangshan and visiting the Yellow Mountains. Absolutely recommend — 10/10.
One of the most memorable places we stayed in China. The hotel is located on a beautiful old street filled with small cafés, teahouses, and restaurants — very atmospheric to walk around, especially in the evening 🌙🏮 The building itself is a traditional Chinese house, carefully renovated with great attention to detail. The interior feels warm, natural, and elegant — wooden textures, soft lighting, pleasant natural scents ✨ The room was comfortable, the bed was great, and everything worked perfectly. Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable 🍜🌿 The owners are truly wonderful people. They offered us tea, shared recommendations on where to go, and even helped arrange a taxi 🚕 Their attitude towards hosting is sincere and welcoming — the kind of hospitality that stays in your memory. Overall, this is one of the best stays we’ve had. Highly recommended. 🌿🏯 With greetings from Latvia 🇱🇻 📍 SkyGarden Studio (Jūrmala)
Stayed in this lovely hotel during our trip to Huangshan and it was a really heartwarming stay. The owner went the extra mile when we informed them during check in that two of us are vegan. We were very surprised when the breakfast next day was made 90% vegetarian friendly and the lady owner even packed some buns and pancakes for us to eat in the way to Huangshan mountain. The rooms are lovely with a small balcony overlooking the ancient street. We really enjoyed our stay there! Note: They have 3 cute cats in their lobby too!
