Pre-arrival: The hotel sent an email a few days before arrival to arrange details including the room with any upgrade, which was very helpful. Check-in: Quick and flexible. When I wanted to extend my stay, they could allocate it properly before my booking on GHA was completed. Also able to process Discovery $$ which some hotels always don't. Staff: All staff were friendly, with Betty in the club lounge especially welcoming. Club Lounge: Top-notch lounge experience with a generous food spread throughout the day and hot-dish specials available to order during dinner cocktail. Breakfast: Outstanding buffet with an impressive variety and even chef walking around to offer specially cooked dishes like laksa and pancake (not sure what is the exact name). Ambience is very good as well Room: Slightly dated but spotlessly clean and well kept. One of the best GHA hotel experience in Xiamen and will recommend you to book their higher tier rooms.

Great hotel. It gives luxury vibes, but price is not bad. My room was great, although my friend said their room smelled a lot like smoke and mildew alittle. The staff was helpful, beautiful pool. And location was ideal for this hotel. This hotel was called Marco Polo on other booking sites.

An incredibly stunning hotel visually. The location is superb and it's next to a really neat lake and walking boardwalk area. The hotel has a really, really nice breakfast buffet that has a large array of food to try. Definitely a great breakfast that has fresh juice. I recommend the grapefruit juice, even if you aren't normally a fan.
