Kempinski Fuzhou is comfortably the most polished five-star option in the city - a European-branded luxury hotel that genuinely delivers on its promise in most areas. The rooms are well-appointed, the service is a cut above anything else in Fuzhou, and the facilities are comprehensive. This is one of the best-value Kempinskis anywhere in the world, and that matters.
LOCATION:Positioned within the Second East Ring Taihe Plaza complex in Jin'an District, the location is commercially smart but not exactly atmospheric. The Taihe Plaza mall is right there, and a solid spread of restaurants - local street food through to proper dining - sits within a 5-minute walk. The metro is nearby, making city navigation easy.
DINE + DRINK: The Breakfast is worth waking up for, and comes with a proper spread of Western and Fujian Chinese options, including local noodle bowls and dumplings, that sets you up well for the day.
ROOM: We stayed in Room 1810, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: nice view of the highways and cityscape from the windows; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good spa quality toiletries by NATURA BISSE brand
FACILITIES: Good sized gym fit enough for a full on workout, loaded with all kinds of machines and equipment. They also have a swimming pool but didn't get a chance to check it out.
SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of.
HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TV, but practically USELESS as almost ALL THE CHANNELS were ONLY IN MANDARIN!!!
Very nice and clean suites and great service. The breakfast buffet offers a large variety of food choices and the staff is very welcoming. Overall one of the best stays Iver ever had.
This hotel is awful! The tea provided in the room had no price tag and was a trap. When I checked out, they charged me 80 RMB for every single pack of tea. It's an absolutely awful hotel!
Breakfast sucks with limited hot options, rooms ok but what's the point of the executive lounge if hours are so short? Also smoking is allowed in lobby so it's extremely smelly. People also light cigarettes in the lift
The is one of the cheapest Kempinski hotel in the world, Hotel itself is awesome, just a short walking distance from metro station. Room is clean, bed is soft and super comfortable. Strong water pressure makes shower to be a enjoyable thing.
