Hilton Garden Inn Hangzhou Luniao

Hilton Garden Inn Westlake hotel, though not near Westlake (about 15 minute walk) is very new and clean. They have free washing machine and dryer which is big plus point. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful but a big shoutout to Jenny who is absolutely awesome with her service. There are many shops and malls nearby with good local food.

Layout of the room is weird, enter the room have a weird smell, then the toilet basic is in the middle of the room, room condition is bad, stain all around the table, for the price the location isn't convenient at all too, putting location aside, really need to improve on room maintenance for a decent pleasant stay. One thing have to say the hotel provide crush ice and even deliver up to your room, the service from the front desk save it all, if not for them this hotel surely don't deserve a 4 stars rating. Work on it Hilton, you could have done better.

The only complaint I have is the temperature control; stayed here in December, and the AC is only capable of heating, regardless of the thermostat setting (lowest is 17C). Even setting to "fan-only" produced hot air. Mentioned to frontdesk after the first night but to no avail, so ended up having to leave the AC/fan powered off. Can't really blame the staff as they were obviously not empowered to fix the problem. Also beware they don't have the EU-style 2 round pin socket, which is not compatible with my 3-prong US power adapter. There are plenty of sockets in my room, though.

Very new, clean and well-designed rooms. We were in the King sized room on a high floor. There are only 10 floors altogether. The beds are very comfortable. It's a ten minutes walk to the centre. As the hotel targets the local Chinese businessmen category, the in-house TV provides only local channels and there's no on-demand movies available. Try it!
