The hotel is too old and hasn't been renovated; many facilities and equipment need repair or replacement. It's overpriced because of its good location.

The organizers were very thoughtful, booking a 4-star hotel, but because it was an older hotel, although it had been renovated and looked quite nice at first glance, there were many basic problems… 1. Upon check-in, the room hadn't even been cleaned?! We had to wait for cleaning staff. 2. The air conditioning wasn't working; it was on for an hour, and it still didn't feel cold. June in Fuzhou is already very hot… 3. Power outages and unstable internet… In the end, I preferred to pay for a business hotel elsewhere.
Fuzhou Grand Hotel, located at No. 1 Doudong Road, Gulou District, Fuzhou City, opened in May 1999 and was awarded a four-star tourist hotel rating in August 2001. Located in the heart of Fuzhou, the hotel boasts a building area of 33,000 square meters, with a 25-story main building offering 300 rooms and suites of various types, including non-smoking floors, business floors, and deluxe floors. Natural hot spring water is available in all rooms 24 hours a day. Fuzhou's hot springs are renowned in China as "Golden Soup." The hotel's hot spring is rich in 25 trace elements, including silicon, fluorine, chlorine, sulfur, arsenic, and radon. The water quality is excellent, with a temperature reaching 65℃, which can promote metabolism, enhance immune function, and has unique therapeutic effects on various diseases. Since its opening, the hotel has used hot spring water supplied by the Fuzhou Hot Spring Supply Company, providing a continuous 24-hour supply for the bathing of all 300 rooms. All water supply pipes are independent, without the use of additional boilers or electric heating equipment, providing guests with pure, natural hot spring water. The hotel offers facilities and services to complement its accommodation and dining options, including business facilities, shopping, fitness, and entertainment.
Food was so-so (maybe thats just my appetite) and unfortunately, it seemed like no one could speak English at the hotel. Nevertheless, extremely friendly staff. They did everything to help me out.
This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. Even more worse than a 3 star hotel in the netherland. Breakfast very disappointing. Western restaurant is not western at all, hanging the italian flag does not mean you have an italian restaurant. In general not recomended at all.
