We booked a 3 hours Hamburg walking tour and were not disappointed. our Guide Deniz was running a few minutes late and kept us updated, on meeting we got straight to it, very knowledgeable with insights to lots of questions asked abut the area and Germany in general. The walk was very suited to our submitted list of what we would like to see and was a great cross section of what the city had to offer. We entered buildings and areas we would never have considered without Deniz to advise we were able to access, great views and locations, great conversation and the final stop a recommended lunch location, thanks Deniz, we really got the best out of our 1 day in Hamburg.

Deniz is very competent and he made the visit interesting. He was also quite flexible with our requests and good at rearranging things around the frequent showers that the Hamburg weather blesses us with.
Really enjoyed the ability to choose the length of the tour. We opted for 3hrs and this was perfect. Deniz was our guide and he really showed adaptation to our group and what we found interesting. As a group of 5 it was all our first time in Hambourg and arrived by cruise so unfortunately had limited hours to spend. Never felt rushed or too slow. We we passed and went into places we would never have done trying to self guide. Deniz was friendly, knowledgeable and is an asset to the city of Hamburg. Very glad we booked and was definitely worth the extra money going for a private tour over a shared group.
If there was a way to score Tim more than 10 out of 10, then we would! Tim was knowledgeable, engaging and really tailored the tour to us. We came away feeling like we knew Hamburg better than we could possibly have done without a guide. Tim’s communication beforehand was exceptional, sending us a picture of where to meet, along with directions and letting us know how to recognise him. The tour was specific to us (genuinely ‘unscripted ‘ which is what we wanted) and kept 2 adults and 2 older children entertained for three hours. I only wish that we had booked for longer. We saw lots of different landmarks, places that we would not otherwise have known about. We loved the old Elbe tunnel and the Plaza at the Elbphilharmonie, but other smaller details that we would have missed if we had visited under our own steam. We will never visit a new city again without a guide. Tim has set the benchmark for all future hosts: genuinely brilliant.
Dave made sure the trip was perfectly crafted for me down to small details and made sure I enjoyed myself The tour was fun because Dave told his personal stories of a fellow military guy seeing the town with personal stories made it more fun

My wife and I had a fantastic private tour of Hamburg with Dave, who whisked us through the city’s highlights at an energetic pace. He introduced us to fascinating architectural gems we would never have found on our own. Thoughtfully, Dave met us directly at the cruise terminal, which made everything so much easier, especially as it was our first visit to Hamburg. To maximize our time, the tour even included a few short metro rides, allowing us to see more of the city within the schedule.
Deniz was personable and very well-informed of the history and architecture of Hamburg. He picked us up at our hotel and spent more than the allotted time to make sure we had seen everything that might interest us. Although it was not originally scheduled, he spent the next day with us taking us outside Hamburg to a location of our choice, then adding a few additional locations within the city that there was no time to see the day before. It was an excellent two days of discovery and we highly recommend this city tour and this tour guide.

This is a must-do tour for anyone interested in the history of the warehouse district. Dave took the time to explain the importance of the key buildings with important historical anecdotes. We ended our tour in a beer beer hall for a drink and some wurst.

The guide: Our guide Dave was and is a treasure. Very knowledgeable, sincere welcoming, friendly and a great host. He has been in Hamburg for 10 years and knows his way around pretty well. (5/5) The tour: we did not want to take the "typical" tourist routes. Therefore we chose Eimsbüttel as our prefered destination. The planning of the tour itself was good. Our guide Dave also showed us several hidden gems in the area. Unfortunately he did not have a lot of time (1 day) to prepare the tour since our former guide was replaced on short notice - this does not in any way reflect on Dave who is an exveptional host and did the best in this short amount of time. With a little more time to prepare it would have been exceptional. The tour was in english (4/5). Overall: The experience was from our perspective very good and we can highly recommend it to others. Make sure to be very specific in your request on what you expect to experience.

Dave is a lovely chap and was excellent company throughout the entire walk. We left with a feel for and an understanding of Hamburg which we would not have otherwise had, which was the main object of the exercise. I'm not sure the Nazi-era Bunker added anything though - would recommend anyone skips that and visits the Town Hall instead.

Excellent visit of Hamburg with our guide Deniz. We took the 4 hours tour and it went real fast, with a good pace to cover most of the quarter around the old city. Deniz was informative and real pleasant to be around. I recommand Deniz as a guide, an added value to the tour.
I had an incredible day with Ralf. We saw every well known building and some hidden, not so well known buildings. We spoke about Hamburg's history and the reasoning behind the design of the city. Ralf is a wealth of knowledge and fun to talk with. I had a wonderful and full tour of Hamburg and it could not have been better.

Deniz was great, he was friendly and knowledgeable and willing to answer all our random questions. The tour was on Sunday evening so we were only able to visit 2 food stops and another place to have a drink. The 2 stops were great! It seemed like many places were closed and there was not a set plan for our dessert options so we wandered a bit and ended up stopping for a drink. I wish they would not have given us the option for a Sunday dinner time tour knowing our options were limited. The food we had was great but the booking mentioned 5 stops and we only got 3 so were a little disappointed.
