Some things needs only eyes to see, this beautiful and tidy plaza was worth seeing and exciting to be in it... overly Exciting!!

Ist was a very nice and interesting walk with Ute. She was a very good guide and gave us a lot of informations about Elbphilharmonie. She had always a competent answer to all our questions.
We spent most of our hour of visit outside the building listening to the guide telling us about everything that went wrong during the whole design, build and start-up of the building. When we finally went in, there was an escalator taking us to the gallery level. The guide added a few words and then ended his tour leaving us at the coffee shop of the building. We had not seen the main target of our trip: the concert hall. We left disappointed: not only about what we had seen as a result of the Swiss Architectural work (an oversized megablock of a building lacking the necessary artistic appeal) but even more about the overpriced "tour" which gave us hardly any information about the building.
Wonderful funfacts and very engaging guide. We would have loved to see the actual concerthalls, but understand the impossibily of the situation.
Too expensive for a 1 hour tour. Unfortunately nothing special that would justify the fee. We left a bit underwhelmed.
We have been visiting Hamburg to visit family since 1991 and this was probably the first time we have done a guided tour of any of the popular sights. This opera house/music hall was only completed in 2016 and makes very interesting viewing, particularly to those with an interest in acoustics. The architecture is fascinating without being awe-inspiring. An interesting comparison was made in the brochure to the Sydney Opera House, but acoustics aside, it "ain't no Sydney Opera House!" Nevertheless, the tour guide made for a really enjoyable experience and one that I'd recommend for anyone visiting this picturesque city
A fascinating building - and the story was told in an engaging and thorough manner by our guide Andre. Very lucky to be only 2 solo travellers with this guide so we got to hear all about this stunning building and have all our questions answered. Would highly recommend!
For people that like to have a structured, informative tour, I would not recommend this tour. The guide lacked a coherent story and was 99% of the time cynical in his way of explaining the building of Elbphilharmonie. The main topic was the price of the different opponents of the building, absurdly according to the tour guide. This caused for a, subjective, negative approach on the architects and architecture instead of an objective explanatory approach you expect from a tour that costs 19(!!) euro. In the end the tour guide switched the narrative that the Hamburgers are actually happy with the building.. When I approached the tour guide afterwards to express my opinion he told me this tour was suppose to be cynical and the tour was more to be entertaining than to be informative. For the 19(!!) euro you receive acces to the plaza (which is free if you wait in line) and less than an hour of speeding around from the metro to the building and around the plaza. I would recommend for people that are interested in the Elbphilharmonie to reserve a tour provided by the Elbphilharmonie itself (which gives acces to the concert halls!!) or read 1-2 articles on the internet and walk around by yourself. Both will provide a better experience and cost less than this tour.
We booked the tour for a saturday 11 a.m. On friday 11 a.m. we got a e-mail, reminding us of the tour and time. Then on friday at 11 p.m. (!) we got a new e-mail, that the tour would be delayed for one hour and start not until 12 a.m. I think this to be poor treatment of customers. Now to the tour itself. First was a view from the outside, then going up to the plaza. The guide told us some facts about the building, then we went to walk around the outside. There he explained some other facts about the city and the harbour. All things considered I think the price of 19 € is too high for what you get.
Good German-language tour with a guide, Tobias, who was very knowledgeable and passionate but did speak a little quickly to follow everything. Good overview of the building, its history and design elements. It was a bit anti-climactic to not get to see the main attraction (the performance spaces) but this was noted in the upfront tour description so it wasn't a surprise.
I actually booked a tour of the Elbphilharmonie through TripAdvisor! The tour lasted one hour and I got to meet a very cool elderly couple who were also on vacation. The observation deck is 37 meters (121 feet) above the harbor, The guide was excellent and effortlessly switched back and forth from German to English. I would recommend the guided tour to get in all of the nuances of this magnificent building.
The guide tour was interesting, but it was too long. We wish we could have taken photos of the inside of the concert hall. It is definitely worth seeing and there is a nice view from the top. The entrance for the tour is not well marked or indicated. It is definitely worth a visit.
If you visit Hamburg and not visit thr Elbphilharmonic , you waste ur time..it you want to visit this without guid tour, forget it because u miss the beautiful secrets in build of this building
I must be fair, I didn’t went to any concert so don’t know the concert rooms, but if you only go here to visit you can expect a great view of Hamburg Harbor but nothing more.
Tour of the Elbphilharmonie. It truly was beautiful. If you book through the Elbphilharmonie website it will include the halls as part of the tour. I highly recommend it. However, note that the meeting point is at the customer service building across from the concert hall rather than the Baumwall U entrance.
Our tour guide was amazing! So nice and full of information. We were a little nervous the tour would be altered since we heard they were filming a movie there, but the experience was wonderful. It truly is an amazing piece of architecture and a must see.
We had arranged to meet a Free walking tour of the Elbphilharmonie, and the instructions were like something from mission Impossible. Meet at the station, near the kiosk, at 11:00am, and wait for your guide. One, we found the station, but it had 2 platforms, two, where is the kiosk?, - downstairs, and we were there at 11:00 but no one turned up, asking the man in the kiosk, he said yes around here they will come...wait, wait... hooray someone is here. She apologized for being late, but showed us her knee, where she had fallen over, oh dear, poor thing was in pain. It made me feel even worse for cursing what had happened to our guide, but she seemed to be able to continue despite her knee. So off we marched, against a howling wind, and cold wet rain, typical Hamburg weather in March.. :-( We got to the building, and after going through the turnstile, the wind was there to greet us, as we took the wave escalator up to the main entrance, where the end of the escalator was not visible, like a wave. You finally arrive to a open space and were told about the hand crafted bulbs, and the glass walls, but could not forget the wind... still cold, and wet.. as there were no doors, it was open to the elements, great in summer, but it was spring.. :-( A walk outside around the building gives you a great view of the city, and a understanding of how tall this building is, and why it would have cost 850€ million. So after a few photos we went straight downstairs to a cafe opposite the site, to have a hot chocolate, and a bun, to keep warm! Overall well worth a visit, but choose a good warm day to do it, we were not allowed to go into the halls, as this would have been perfect, but only view the stairways, which is a huge pity..
We had a tour around and inside the Elbphilharmonie today with the guide Bernd. We learned an incredible amount of really interesting details from him about the Philharmonie, its history of origin, the people associated with it, and about Hamburg itself, and we are thrilled. Absolutely recommended, thank you.
The Elphi Plaza tour from Adventure World Tours was part of our last summer company outing and we liked it very much. Our guide Klaus convinced us with his expertise on the one hand, and on the other hand, he created a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere in the group overall with his open, humorous manner. Thanks to a very detailed booking confirmation including directions with a picture of the meeting point as well as tips on the topic of weatherproof clothing, we felt very well prepared for the tour. And even when our group size decreased by 3 participants at short notice, it was no problem to rebook the whole thing quickly and initiate a refund. All in all, Adventure World Tours offered us an uncomplicated and content-wise interesting team experience. We would gladly book events here again in the future. Warm regards from AFES GmbH in Hamburg
Interesting tour about the history and construction of the Elbphilharmonie without a concert hall visit.
Andrea welcomed us very warmly and took very good care of us during the entire tour. She explained things very well and showed us a lot; with humor and factual descriptions, we got to know the Elbphilharmonie from a completely different side. Andrea answered all of our questions immediately. We are thrilled.
Great that admission to the Elphi Plaza is free of charge. It is a beautiful view that you can enjoy. A must-see in Hamburg
monosyllabic, distant, eating in empty restaurants, uncreative
Christa was very competent, friendly, and very attentive to the group.
As a weather-related small group, Bernd made the tour very informative and interesting. Thank you very much.
Klaus made the tour a wonderful experience with his knowledge and little anecdotes. It was very entertaining, also due to the little stories outside the Elphi. Highly recommended. Best regards from Erlangen
Daniel told us a lot about Hamburg and the Elbphilharmonie in a very charming and funny way. He always involved all participants, especially the children.
Very good tourist guide, Heri... unfortunately doesn't remember the name. Informative, vividly told, highly recommended. Will approach viator again in other cities.
This was a very interesting, detailed and individual tour just for the two of us. Many thanks to Christa, our guide, for an exciting hour with many impressions that will remain for a long time.
The viewing takes place more outside than in the Elphi. I just thought it was too expensive.
fantastic: the guide Klaus was super, informed and very informed about the house. Klaus was great
Meeting point a bit difficult due to the current construction site. Very good guide with a lot of background knowledge, especially about the origins and architecture.
The guide Andrea has not only provided a lot of interesting facts and figures, but also vividly packaged the whole thing in very entertaining stories. You can tell that she does this not only with a lot of competence and knowledge, but also with love and passion. Despite bad weather, we enjoyed this tour very much and can only recommend it with a clear conscience.
Excellent, very competent, well set up, the guide was well informed and explained well, the meeting place and way was helpful - all great
We gladly recommend your Enterprise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very informative and interestingly conveyed. Klaus, the Giude, has a very high background knowledge!! We really enjoyed the tour.
Andrea, has made friendly and dedicated the tour with us. In the typical Hamburg drizzle she managed to catch our attention. The tour was fun and informative enough to get an eye for the subtleties of the big concert hall in preparation for the concert in the evening. Thank you.
Too long explanations, waiting in a super cold windy place, for 23.- per person too expensive, because no room tour
I was absolutely delighted with the Delphi Plaza guided tour with Adventure World Tours! Our guide was not only extremely competent, but also told the story and exciting backgrounds of the place alive. The organization was smooth – from booking to meeting point. I particularly liked the little Insider information and the relaxed, humorous way in which the tour was conducted. I always felt in good hands with my partner and learned a lot of new things. I can recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Delphi Plaza in a fun and informative way. A real highlight of my trip!
Visit of a unique building, which unfortunately became a bit more expensive and took much longer than thought. But anyway, the Cologne Cathedral was built for 600 years :-)
I waited in front of the Elbphilharmonie and missed the tour. The starting point was somewhere else. I should have clicked on a tiny circle with an i in it, then I would have seen the info. I can't understand that the note wasn't written on the ticket. Never again. It was money that was wasted. The provider would only have offered the next tour for new payment.
The 1-hour tour around the Elbphilharmonie was definitely worth it. Our tour guide Andrea, was totally likeable, her anecdotes funny and the tour was very entertaining. We learned a lot of new interesting information and were sad when the tour was over. We can recommend the tour 100%.
Too bad you can't see much from the inside. But still exciting to see and hear. Luca was great!
Very informative and authentic. The tour guide Christina has literally burned for the Elbphilharmonie
Very good and competent guidance with information from the origin story to the project completion.
No realization gain. Paid guided tour by stressed disgruntled lady for 25€ is not worth it. Only well-known areas were shown, to which one also has access as a concertgoer. There are better documentaries in the media.
... is the location, the building, the costs – but since we don’t necessarily like classical music, we thought about how we could still experience the house. Here the offer for a house tour was very accommodating. We decided to take a tour of the entire house. At first the long escalator went up leisurely and then the tour actually only started in the area of the Plaza. We were shown the small and the large hall, the extensive and staircase-rich foyer and explained very well. There was also a lot of information about the building and why much was designed. It was special for us that there is a wood smell in the entire small hall. And then the walls of the hall, which are elaborately designed in terms of sound... The tour was a great experience.
On the part of the leading, very nice and friendly woman, a lot of interesting was brought to us. A lot of backgrounds were told to us, also in a humorous way. Keep it up!!!
Very nice and entertaining guided tour in the Elbphilharmonie with Kathrin. We have received a lot of new information.
Interesting guided tour on the subject of the Elbe Philharmonic Professional guide with lots of information about Hamburg small group unfortunately no view inside the building
