I love this hotel. Stayed here numerous times over the last 8 years. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are very nice. As a Bonvoy Platinum Elite member, I am frustrated by the decision to close the 19th floor lounge. That was an amenity I've come to expect and a benefit that recognizes the my loyalty. Taking it away with no replacement benefit left me a bit sour.
We had an amazing stay at this Westin hotel! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. The hotel was spotless, clean, and very well maintained, making our stay extremely comfortable. The views from the hotel are absolutely exceptional and were one of the highlights of our visit. The location is also fantastic—it's within walking distance of the city center and all the main sightseeing attractions, making it very convenient to explore the area. The breakfast was excellent as well, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to choose from each morning. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. We would definitely stay here again!
Great hotel in a perfect location. The building is beautiful, and all the main attractions are within walking distance. We received a very warm welcome at reception, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!☺️
We had a room with a beautiful harbor view, and waking up to that scenery was unforgettable. The room was spacious, modern, and very comfortable, with an excellent bed that ensured a great night’s sleep. The hotel is located inside the iconic Elbphilharmonie, making it a truly unique place to stay. The service was outstanding throughout our visit, professional, welcoming, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options, and the bar was a great place to unwind in the evening. Overall, an exceptional hotel with an unbeatable location and excellent service. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hamburg.
Deeply disappointed – 24h Fitness closed without notice during Saturday morning - afternoon I have been a loyal regular guest at The Westin Hamburg for years and truly appreciate the unique location in the Elbphilharmonie. Unfortunately, this stay was marred by a significant failure in one of the hotel’s key advertised features. The Westin WORKOUT Studio, prominently promoted as a 24-hour fitness centre, was completely closed for a private yoga session. There was no prior notice whatsoever – not on the website, not at check-in, and not at the studio itself. Even more unacceptable was that the Spa employee Alexandra explicitly denied me access to the Cardio area (with its 8 machines), stating that this was a direct instruction from the Spa Manager, Mrs. Gotua. Can you picture this: she SIMPLY LOCKED THE DOORS FROM THE INSIDE! As a result, the 24/7 fitness facility that was a major reason for my booking was unavailable to hotel guests. In preparation for a major sports event on the next day this has significantly impacted my daily plan. As a regular guest who specifically values and regularly uses this facility, I find this level of service disruption highly disappointing and below the standards expected from a premium Westin property. Closing advertised 24-hour amenities for private events without any communication or alternative solution is simply not acceptable. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and implements clear procedures to prevent such incidents in the future. I remain fond of the hotel overall, but this experience has unfortunately damaged my trust.
