Crowne Plaza Hamburg - City Alster By Ihg

This hotel is indeed good value for money as it appears like a 5 star hotel without being. The service is excellent, the room functional and roomy. The inhouse parking is very secure and convenient.

The hotel has good service overall, but there are several things that could be improved. Every day, we had to go to reception to request room cleaning and fill in our name and room number. Unfortunately, even after doing this, they sometimes forgot to clean the room. The rooms are also a little dated and could use some renovation. The closet is extremely small, making it difficult to store clothes properly. I would also not recommend having breakfast at the hotel. It is extremely crowded, and the experience is not very pleasant. On the positive side, the staff are generally friendly and helpful, especially the guys working at the bar in the evening—they were excellent and very welcoming. The lady working at the reception at night was also very kind and helpful. Overall, a decent stay, but for a Crowne Plaza, I expected better room maintenance, more reliable housekeeping, and a less crowded breakfast experience.

I had a pleasant stay at Crowne Plaza Hamburg. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean, and the bathroom was also very clean and well maintained. The amenities were quite complete, but it would be even better if the hotel provided slippers in the room. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and I would recommend this hotel.

Overall very nice hotel located in a quiet area. Room was pleasant enough, comfortable, reasonably spacious. Staff were polite, friendly, and helpful. Only wish the cable TV offered more varied channel selections besides news channels.
