We arrived in Hamburg and noticed that hotel prices had increased quite a lot compared with our last trip in January. Usually, we can find a decent hotel for around €80–€90 per night, but this time most good options were €120+. We wanted to book for two nights and luckily found Courtyard by Marriott available for one night at an unbelievable price of just €95, so we booked it immediately. Marriott hotels are known for their standards, and this one didn’t disappoint. The room was spacious and comfortable, the lobby was huge and impressive, and even the gym was quite big and well equipped. The staff were also friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I even checked my weight on the machine in the gym and was happy to see it was exactly the same as before starting our trip despite all the travelling and eating! We asked about extending for another night, and the reception staff explained that Mondays are usually very busy because of corporate guests. When we checked again the next day, a room was available, but the price had jumped to around €185, so we decided to book the Scotty Hotel directly opposite for around €130 instead. Location wise, it was also very convenient, around a 7–8 minute walk from Hamburg Central Station. Overall, we had a really comfortable stay and getting a Courtyard by Marriott for €95 in Hamburg felt like excellent value. Would definitely consider staying here again on our next trip!

Great hotel! Clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was smooth from check-in to check-out. I would definitely stay here again
Pros: The room was comfortable and well-maintained. The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful throughout our stay. Cons: The walk to the nearest train station did not feel very safe. We also stayed for about a week, and although we requested housekeeping to at least vacuum the room, no housekeeping service was provided during our stay.
A very good hotel, located 5 min walk from a U-Bahn station. Good decent breakfast. Clean and modern rooms, quiet. Only negative point is that bathroom has a glass door and part of the wall - so if you go to a toilet in the night and switch light on there, it’s bringing a bright light to all the room and wakes up your partner.
Very disappointing breakfast experience at the Courtyard Hamburg hotel. The breakfast service was extremely poor and did not match the standard I expected. I asked for an omelet, but my request was denied without a reasonable explanation. I then asked for pancakes and was told the machine wasn’t working. However, it appeared the real issue was that the staff simply didn’t want to refill the pancake batter. I asked again for an omelet later, but was told the kitchen was already closed—even though breakfast was still being served until 11:00 AM. It was frustrating to be denied freshly prepared breakfast items during the advertised breakfast hours. To make matters worse, the staff had already started cleaning and clearing the breakfast counter around 9:00 AM, making it feel like they were trying to shut everything down well before breakfast service was supposed to end. Overall, the staff seemed more focused on finishing early than providing good service to guests. This was a very disappointing experience and not what I expect from a Marriott Courtyard hotel.
