Best Western Plus Hotel Bottcherhof

Newly renovated luxe hotel, I highly recommend even if its kinda far of the city center. It is worth the price.

The reception staff should pay more attention to guest service during check-in. In my case, the receptionist wanted to charge me a €50 deposit. Only after I informed her that I hold Diamond Select status did she waive the deposit. Furthermore, once I was already in my room, she contacted me to let me know that the mineral bottle of water on the table—which was marked with a €4 price tag—was actually free for me. This was my second stay at this hotel, and for the second time, something went wrong. Moreover, the hotel itself is not in an attractive area; there is absolutely nothing around if you want to go sightseeing or take a walk in the evening—it is basically out in the middle of nowhere. On top of that, parking costs €18 per day, which is yet another proof that the management cares only about making a profit. Although the hotel is very well-maintained, one gets the impression that it caters to pretentious people who do not care about money. The management exploits this perfectly, focusing solely on profit, while guest satisfaction takes a back seat. I do not know who reads these reviews, but I hope it is someone from the management or the owner, and that they will reflect on whether this is the right way to run a hotel. It is certain that the blameless receptionist is just an employee carrying out tasks assigned by her superiors.

Cleanliness is very important to me, and this hotel was excellent in that regard. Everything was spotless and well-organized. The hotel was also modern and well-equipped in terms of technology and facilities. The design, colors, and overall atmosphere were very calming and pleasant. The heating system worked perfectly. Unlike many hotels where you may feel cold, this one had a very comfortable temperature thanks to the radiator system. Overall, the cleanliness, organization, and peaceful environment were truly impressive. The location was not ideal, and I didn’t feel very safe in the surrounding area. However, one positive point was that there was a bus stop right in front of the hotel, making access to public transportation very easy. Also, the hotel did not provide slippers, and surprisingly, they charged about $2.5 for them. This felt unusual, as in many hotels slippers are either free or not provided at all. Overall, I had a positive experience and also really enjoyed the food at the hotel. Everything was generally good and met my expectations. If location is not a priority for you, I would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel! Very clean and has luxurious feel to it, for a good price. The room was clean, modern and big. Luxury shower, minibar. Sauna’s are included. The breakfast was really nice (pancakes!). Very nice restaurant for dinner as well. You can park for free around the hotel (hotel garage is €17 per night). It’s 15 minutes from the city center by car. There’s a bus stop in frobt of the hotel. Only downside for us was that the room got very warm and we couldn’t adjust the temperature. I think it’s centrally heated. We opened a window bit outside was very noisy because of the gas station and car wash next door. It would be perfect if you can regulate the temperature in your own room but nonetheless we had a great stay! I would really recommend!
