Excellent hotel with great facilities and location. My room was huge, perfect for a long weekend stay, and the free Riesling on arrival for signing up to their members program was a nice touch too. Staff very helpful and friendly, plus the online check in made life easier. I would definitely stay here again. It's right next to Meßberg station and a 5 minute walk from the Speicherstadt, so great for touristy stuff close by plus easy access to the U-Bahn.

We stayed four nights as a family with a young toddler, and for the first three days it was genuinely lovely. Then came the last night. The air conditioning in our room, which had been fine all stay, started making a loud noise, and it ran on through the night( I have added video with the noise). We couldn’t sleep, and worst of all it kept waking our young toddler, who was up repeatedly because of it. We were then moved to a second room, but this one wasn’t the answer either: the AC unit was less noisy, though still a little noisy, and it couldn’t cool the room properly. So we went from a room too loud to sleep in to a room too warm to sleep in, on the one night we most needed rest before a long drive home. A room you can’t sleep in is not a minor issue; it’s the one thing a hotel absolutely has to get right. When you book a holiday and pay a premium rate, plus €40 a night for parking and the city tax on top, a decent night’s sleep is the most basic thing you’re paying for. What frustrates me is how I expect this to be handled: a polite “we’re so sorry for the inconvenience,” and then the full amount still charged, including the night none of us could sleep. If that’s the outcome, “sorry” isn’t compensation, it’s just a way of closing the case. Three good days shouldn’t be wiped out by one bad night, but a night like this genuinely takes the shine off the whole trip, and a real response would acknowledge that with more than an apology. My honest advice: think carefully before booking this hotel for a family holiday. We hit AC problems in two different rooms in one night, one too loud, one too warm. Even if only a few rooms are affected, you have no way of knowing you won’t be given one, and we were unlucky twice over. For a family vacation, the risk to your sleep isn’t worth it.

Positive: nice hotel with good facilities and good location. Averall is a great place to stay. Negative: no real gluten free breakfast although advertised. The pillows are really uncomfortable We were very disappointed with how they handled the gluten free breakfast. We contacted the hotel via email to check if there was a gluten free option for breakfast because there was a big price difference between the reservation without or with breakfast. After they assured us they had gluten free options we booked stay plus breakfast. In the morning, we realised the only thing gluten free was a pack of muesli. They have bread but they use the same oven for normal bread, and the charcuterie that they have is next to the bread and are probably cross contaminated. We raised the issue at reception and they told us that they couldn't do anything and when we complained about having to pay for breakfast for someone who doesn't have real gluten free options, the answer was "theres nothing we can do". Please make sure this doesn't happen to another person who has celiac disease and needs gluten free meals. It is a serious illness, not a dietary preference.

Great place to stay with a kitchen and washer dryer combo if you need mid travel. Near attractions and food. Discovered that the mall or shopping center walking distance with a grocery store down lower level REWEs. Our room was quite and a very helpful staff. We did have problems with the tv with turning it on and off and changing channels. We still enjoyed watching tv with german language settings only. Would recommend for families.
