Scarlet Pearl Cruise - The Pearl Of Halong Wonder (2days/1night)

On balance, it was worth it for the scenery and experience. As with any of these cruises, you will be one ship of many. The scenery is magnificent and the staff do everything to make your experience a personal one. Just go in with the mindset that you’re one of quite a few! You do forget about that by the time the first evening rolls round. In short: The staff (five star). Chris was a brilliant tour manager. The room on the ship (five). Facilities on the ship (five) Food was fine (four) Over experience: four.

If you are looking for a relatively intimate cruise with beautiful rooms and a top notch staff jump aboard the Scarlet Pearl. There are many options to cruise the bay, we were looking for a smaller cruise group with luxurious rooms and good food and we found it. Wendy and her staff were warm, friendly, professional and detail oriented. The cruise was run so efficiently yet allowed us to feel relaxed as the bay drew us into a zen state. There were many activities to keep you as involved as you cared to be or a relaxed and meditative as you wanted. We chose both, kayaking through the caves was as easy or active as you cared to make it and gave freedom to explore on our own. We were offered the most amazing foot massage in the spa, excellent services!! Wait til dark so you don’t miss the views. The cooking class was more of a learn how to roll a spring roll but they made it fun and delicious. Squid fishing was tranquil ( I don’t fish but I was drawn to the peaceful state given the surroundings. Then off to karaoke, the best part was watching the adorable, funny and energetic staff dancing along with a contagious enthusiasm. It’s obvious that the bay and its spectacular beauty are a given but without a pristine yacht and brilliant staff you could be on any boat. Kudos Wendy and crew you are fantastic!

Wow - we had an upgrade to cabin 211 and it was stunning! The bow of the ship was our private terrace and included a jacuzzi and a covered seating area. Service was great beginning to end - big shout out to Wendy. Food all of a high standard and plenty of it! Loved the kayak trip - really magical exploring the area and even going through the caves.

Overrated cruise. Food was not great, couldn’t see the caves as promised, just a round of that place. Only positive staff, was good.

I would like to thank Chris ( Cruise Manager) and Wendy ( Assistant Cruise Manager) and the wonderful staff for their impeccable service and 5 star treatment on The Scarlet Pearl. Every staff member was friendly, accommodating and strived to achieve exceptional service. Such a memorable experience and would return again. The Cruise Liner itself is immaculate and impeccable in design and 5 star features. Angie and Dee ( from Australia) You will not leave disappointed.

This cruise was a highlight of our trip. The room was beautiful, spacious, modern, and clean. View from the room was amazing. Very well organised. Unfortunately there was one family on our trip who were consistently late for group activities and rude to staff however we felt like the lead stewardess dealt with this exceptionally well and politely, minimising the disruption this family caused other passengers as much as possible. We enjoyed the kayaking, swimming, and morning catamaran activities included as part of this tour. A number of people on our boat had birthdays/anniversaries during the trip and the crew went the extra mile arranging birthday cakes and balloons for these passengers. The food was excellent. I am vegetarian and this was well catered for. The boat was gorgeous and the nicest of all those we spotted in the bay. It was a highlight of our trip. We would definitely do this again.

I booked the two days one night and I am so grateful that I did that, I enjoyed every second of it. The stuff was super nice and always tried their best to help you out. For sure Halong Bay is super touristic, but I think that this fact is clear when you plan to go there. In my personal opinion staying at Halong bay overnight is the only thing that worth it. The trip was also well organized and there are a lot of activities, where you can participate, as a cooking class, kayaking… The activities were all included in the price. Before my trip Miss My Uyen helped me planning my stay and answered every question I had. So all in all was it a great experience and I highly recommend it.

Great room. That’s about it. service was sub par, no time to relax unless you skip a meal, but the meals were terrible, so we ate crackers in our room anyways. I suggest finding a true 4/5 star : this is a facade - a 2 star at best for the Scarlet pearl.

It was our first trip to Hanoi and hence we did the customary Ha Long bay cruise 2D1N. Though pricey, the cruise did bring us to very scenic spots, it was also very fun kayaking with family in the lovely area and a small cave. Food was not bad with the local brunch buffet on the last day the best. Service was excellent throughout. Chris was chatty, funny and provided lovely insights into various things around the area. James and the rest of the staff very very attentive; our driver was late to pick us up after the cruise and they made special effort to reach out to our driver to check to make sure we were safely on the way back, even though it was a private driver. Worth a visit if it's the first time in Ha Long bay!

Had a 2 day 1 night cruise. the boat and food was great and so was the scenic HaLong Bay. The Cruise organiser was good and friendly. We all 3njoyed our trip.

Transfers were well organised, of course part of this means you visit the pearl shop (overpriced and commercial). The meals on the boat were unnecessarily long and drawn out but pleasant enough. Unfortunately a bit light on any activity, even the visit to the 1 cave on offer was approx 40 minutes in duration and not spectacular. You can swim off the boat but the water is polluted and full or rubbish. The boat itself was clean and the staff pleasant and well meaning. The trip itself was similar to tours in Thailand and Bali except you stay overnight. A long way and a lot of money for this!

The only thing I enjoyed at Scarlet Pearl was the room and the ship. I have travelled with 2 other operators before and the programmes are quite similar, nothing special here. As for the food, it was average. The other 2 operators provided transport pickup from the hotels while as we had to pay for it here.

The Scarlet Pearl cruise was everything that was advertised. Pickup and delivery was timely and professional. The magnificent cruise ship was more that we could expect with impeccable service, delicious meals and amenities that are usually not found on such cruises. The prices were fantastic and affordable for us but only because of the recent issues with the virus. Normally the prices would be higher and so the value for money start to even out. For us, we enjoyed the benefit of a top class (and above) for a very decent rate. The cruise is also beautiful because of the scenery offered in the Bay.

We booked the trip 2d1n on Scarlet pearl cruise. I did have the lovely time on this boat. The food was delicious we love it a lot. Thank you so much for all cruise member Chris. Phillip Anna Loan were fantastic. See you soon in the future

Cruise in Halong Bay starting in a shuttle boat to main one . Wonderful arrival with a stunning lunch ! Was elected a 3 day cruise “Ana” and “jellyfish” were great and made all the difference congratulations for this great staff never forgetting all of the others ! Nothing bad or medium to report all excellent ! Great work for this Vietnamese company !

Had a fantastic time in Halong Bai. You will be picked up at the harbor by a small boat and taken to the ship. The service was excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Go for the 3 days, 2 nights package because 1 night is really too short. As a Western Asian, I was mainly annoyed by the noisy Chinese and Vietnamese guests. Don't consider other guests and wake everyone up at 6am. But the staff cannot be blamed for that. The cruise provides a good mix of activities and private swimming time. You can skip the boat trip on the 3rd day and sleep in. The facilities are good, but a renovation is recommended to maintain the feeling of luxury. I personally liked the Western dinner less, but the Vietnamese lunch on the catamaran (2nd day) was the tastiest. Are you looking for a good and fun cruise? Then go for the Scarlet Pearl!
