We had an amazing time at the La Casta Halong Bay cruise. The driver promptly picked us up from the hotel and was in constant contact with his arrival time. We reached the boat as scheduled. The team at La Casta is incredible. The cruise director kept us all safe with tons of activity, food and snacks. They took especially good care of my mother to make sure she had a great time and was safe. Not to mention Halong Bay is exceptional. A must do experience in Vietnam.

This was a well organised cruise. Had a pick up from our hotel on time. The cruise ship was clean and tidy and were made welcome on board warmly. Dec the guide for the day was very good and all the crew members were very friendly and polite. Vin who looked after us was excellent. The vegetarian lunch was excellent and so many varieties.

Communication was good at the outside, with WhatsApp messages confirming pick up time. Driver was on time and was a very considerate driver. You felt safe The coach was much better than the typical transits you see, much better leg room too There are many boats in Halong Bay, of varying quality. Ours was off significantly high quality First step was to listen to it speaker, who spoke English wonderfully . He outlined the day, making everything very clear We then had an opportunity to go on the top deck for 60 mins, before returning downstairs to a wonderful lunch. The dishes were immaculate prepared and laid out, the finest ingredients in view We went to see the caves. This was a group event, led by our tour leader, who outlined the historical and spiritual aspects of them (far more interesting than what I had estimated) Then an opportunity to visit another island, climbing to the top, or opting to sit on the beach We then removed the boat, enjoyed afternoon tea, and sailed back to the harbour We drive back to Hanoi, racing or destination 12 hours after our starting point Wonderful day, with great memories. The ship was very clean. The food was excellent. Out of all the boats we saw, ours certainly looked the nicest. Everyone on the boat was friendly and did an excellent job on the tour. Our tour guide was excellent as well.

The cruise was fantastic, visit to cave and kayaking and boat ride was the highlight. The cruise was very clean and staff very helpful.

The experience was worth it. Boat is clean, food were good, personnel were all nice especially the tour guide and host. The transport from hotel to boat and vice versa was quiet good as well, comfy and clean.

Really great day out, pick-up was easy and comfortable. The boat and staff were all fantastic and the tour and boat manager done great to pass all the big sights and talk you through them as you go. Plenty of good food on offer at the lunch and a 10/10 mango smoothie. Would recommend to everyone.

We had a wonderful experience in Halong Bay day trip on September 6 2023 . the staffs of la Casta cruise are friendly, very professional and organized .

The cruise itself was really good but be aware that a “limousine” is not actually a limo…we thought we were paying for an actual limo transfer and instead were picked up in an average sedan. We didn’t realize that “limousines” in Vietnam are what we would call a tour bus in the US and are only used for group transfers. We probably would have paid less and chosen a different tour had we realized there was no actual limo transfer.

It was amazing trip! The boat was luxurious, the food was delicious and was a plentiful. Each $ , that we paid was worth it !

Lucky , Mr. Dong and Anthoney helped to make a most enjoyable cruise experience. We got to swim in Ha Long Bay which was fantastic, if a little cold. Accommodation was 1st class with beautiful views. There was a great choice of food throughout our stay. Many thanks to La Casta Cruise.

The Good Among the boats in the bay, La Casta’s appear to be among the better maintained. The seafood buffet lunch was excellent. Hotel pickup was prompt and the vehicle very comfortable. Ha Long Bay is beautiful, even in wet and murky weather. The Bad I am a solo woman traveler. The other van passengers made it back to their original departure points. For me, the driver just stopped by the side of a road I didn’t recognize and said I should get out. While I didn’t know where we were, I knew my hotel was nowhere in sight. He said he couldn’t go any further. (They don’t allow vans or cars on some roads in the Old Quarter on weekend nights.) He pointed and said, “Go right there.” I knew the street he was pointing at wasn’t where my hotel was located. I asked, “And then which way?” “Oh, that direction.” He waved vaguely. “Not far, maybe 3 minutes,” (It wasn’t!) I had no clue where we were. If it was so close, why didn’t he offer to walk me to the hotel? Or flag a pedicab and tell him where to take me? Or call my hotel and have them send someone? For $80, I expected to get back to my hotel with the promised transportation, not be dumped by the side of some road at 8’o’clock on a rainy night.

The staff was very helpful and welcoming. When our family got separated at one of the stops, they worked tirelessness to help us. I would definitely book with La Casta again!

Ha Long Bay is hard work in a single day. This cruise looked like the best option and having seen the other boats, I do think it is better than the others. However, I'm not sure I'd recommend doing any of the day trips. The drive was comfortable enough, but it is long and there is a really frustrating 'break' at a Pearl making place which nobody asked for or was interested in. Would rather have an extra half an hour in bed. There was no itinerary provided so we didn't expect this other than seeing other reviews. The boat was nice enough, food was decent - pretty much all sea food so bear that in mind. Drinks prices were OK. The Jacuzzi was ice cold. The staff were friendly and attentive. The weather was poor on the day we did it which never helps, but it was annoying being pestered to return to the seats when you just wanted to relax on the roof. On the way back the transfer was much busier as we had more people, and again had a 20-30 min stop at a service station which was disappointing.

It was an amazing experience with La Casta cruise. Me and my wife took 1 day tour including pick and drop service from our hotel in Hanoi. It was on time pick and drop. Limousine was very good and comfortable. Mr. Dtuc is an amazing person - guide at Cruise. He explains everything very perfectly in English. He also takes very good pics of guests at good spots. He is very co-operative. We are vegetarian so on special request on booking they arranged full vegetarian lunch for us. Lastly, happy hours were given as surprise for all drinks except beer. Moral- we highly recommend this cruise. Prices are reasonably good. Staff also good specially Mr. Dtuc. Go ahead.

My wife and I booked this experience while staying at Ha Long. This was a key highlight of our time in Vietnam. Everything on the cruise is included, except beverages (water, Alcohol etc..) so carry cash accordingly. (They are reasonably priced). Activities included are kayaking/Bamboo boat, Hiking, Swimming and cave exploration. We recommend trying the kayaking over bamboo boat - it is a lot of fun and is safe. Lunch includes a wide spread of seafood which was delicious !! The overall service was very good!! Some recommendations 1. If you are taking the day cruise, we would suggest staying in Ha Long since the commute from Ha Long to Hanoi after the cruise could be a little tiring (Personal choice) 2. If staying at Ha Long, talk to one of the crew members / guide to help book a cab back to the hotel and always ask for the rate before taking the cab. Cabs at the harbor can be tricky and very few speak / understand fluent English. 3. Carry a swimming costume / an extra set of clothing since you get a little wet during the activities like kayaking (They provide towels, but it is good to have a dry set of clothes handy)
