Superb experience. I had been upgraded to the captains suite (i couldn't say why but as if i'm going to complain). The staff were super friendly and the food was excellent for all sorts of taste buds. The prices were very reasonable but lets be honest aren't we all here for the experience of seeing a natural wonder.

Great experience with magnifcent views, kind people, authentic rooms and great food. My husband got stung by a jellyfish and manager Giang took great care of him. Didi took us to the cave and made sure we were the first in line so we had no other people on our pictures. While we were waiting, she gave us a lot of information. We also had a springroll workshop by the chef of the Vessel. All in all, absolutely worthwhile.
We actually did the 3 day, 2 night cruise which was fantastic. I would highly recommend this over the 2 day as the middle day was our favorite day. Giang was a fantastic host and took care of us at every turn. The onboard spring role making , crepes, happy hour and squid fishing were all well organized and fun. All excursions off the boat were also well done. Rooms were small but expected with an old boat, but we were upgraded to a bigger room our second night which was great. Food and drinks were exceptional and the atmosphere on board was relaxing and everything we hoped it would be.

Such a wonderful experience. Not overly flashy like some of the other ships a balance of modern comforts and old world charm. In general Ha Long Bay just spectacular. A must see if you’re traveling in this region.
Great experience with excellent service! Giang the boat manager made the experience so special and always went out of her way to make sure we had the best time! She has the friendliest energy and her 20+ years on Émeraude makes her the perfect guide and expert. Giang and the staff make this place so special. We stayed in the Paul Roques suite, which has a nice private balcony at the front of the ship that we recommend with booking as we spent most of our time there. The Émeraude boat has historical roots / you can read the whole history which makes it one of the most special in the bay. Facilities are well maintained given its age.
We had such a wonderful time reliving memories made from the last time we were on the boat. Everything was just as we remember, high quality, perfect service, amazing sights and very relaxing. Giang, the boat manager, was truly incredible, professional and kind. Thank you to the whole crew and Giang who made this experience so great for us. We highly recommend the Emeraude experience in the beautiful Halong Bay.
A beautiful boat - a rebuilt paddle steamer with a long history. The cruise took us around Ha Long bay with landings on Titov Island and Hang Sung Sot. There were opportunities for night squid fishing, and early morning meditation taken by Giang ( I hope I’ve spelt her name correctly) who is essentially the MC and keeps an eye on everything. She worked hard to make sure everything was running well and that all passengers were looked after. There was an excellent massage therapist on board. Dinner and breakfast were buffets with a wide choice of delicious foods available. The cabins were small, with king size beds, clean and comfortable but no one was going to be spending much time in the cabins when sailing through the beauty that is Ha Long Bay.

We went on the Emeraude Premium cruise and were hosted by Minh for 4 days and 3 nights in Ha Long Bay. The experience was awesome and we cannot recommend it enough. The Emeraude Premium boat has loads of character and the room is very comfortable. Being able to see Ha Long Bay as a private charter is a very special experience. Minh always ensured that our activities were private and we were able to tour the pearl farm, caves, and beaches without another sole in sight. On board, every meal was cooked fresh by our Chef and we got to sample local ingredients and fresh seafood from the water. If you are wanting to do a cruise in Ha Long Bay - do yourself a favour and go with Emeraude Premium private charter - it’ll be the best holiday on the water you ever have!

It was a great experience with Emeraude vice and greatfood. Receptionist Didi was good communication skills and great knowledge. She made us feel comfortable and is very kind and genuine.
Ha Long Bay is both peaceful and crowded; it’s not splendid solitude but it is very beautiful and the crew of Emeraude make it quite special. Particular credit goes to Giang and Minh for whom customer service runs in their blood - they were unceasingly charming. The boat itself is very good; while it could do with a touch up here or there, it has an elegant colonial style and charm and the dining is good for large scale catering.
It was a one-night trip but the memories will last forever. Ms Didi assisted us from the start. The warm welcome, the friendly smiles made us feel very comfy and exciting too for the coming experience. Rooms, food, cave visit, kayaking everything was perfect. The trip was worth every penny.

My family and I went on a cruise on the Emeraude Classic and we loved the experience. Our cabin - the Paul Roque Suite - was lovely, the food exceptional, and the staff warm and friendly. We could have easily spent a week on board.

My Ha Long Bay cruise was truly unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to Ms. Giang. From the moment I stepped onto the boat, she made sure every detail of the trip felt special. She checked in often, made sure we were comfortable, and handled everything with such genuine care. Our morning tai chi lessons on the deck were peaceful and grounding — one of my favorite memories. Every meal served on the boat was delicious, beautifully presented, and tailored to everyone’s needs. No matter what we asked for, Ms. Giang and the crew made sure it was taken care of with kindness and professionalism. Because of her, the entire trip felt seamless, relaxing, and truly memorable. We went here for a night's stay. We loved the experience. The package involved kayaking, cafe exploration etc. Food was good. And happy hours was great. Minh, Viet and Hai did an excellent job during Happy Hours. Recommended for all.
OMG 😱 what can I not say it was all Awesome from the staff Ruby !! The food I’m vegetarian and they catered for me the food was delicious. Our room was fantastic and fabulous. The scenery was out of this World!! 🥰🥰. Ruby looked after us all the way made sure we was comfortable with everything! 😊👍🏽.

The best deal for 2-day-1-night cruise at Ha Long Bay. Recommend to everyone !! Some other 2-day-1-night tours may request more than $200 or even $300 above. Emeraude Cruise charge is very reasonable with the similar service. Good value for money !! Need to be aware - Emeraude Cruise doesn't provide transportation service but can help to arrange transportation from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay. However, the bus is from 3rd party and serve many cruise companies. The pick up time and location is unknown and may have a bad seat depending on when you get onboard.
This was a magnificent trip. Minh and the crew were outstanding: they treated us like kings. Great stops during the course of the cruise through beautiful Ha Long Bay. Food was delicious, each meal prepared with care. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing tour of Northern Viet Nam on the Gulf of Tonkin.
