The caves ,cruise and beach were all fantastic. The organisation was chaos, we were abandoned by our guide at the kayaking and had no ticket to enter the kayak area . Took ages to sort out by Vietnamese, English speaking person on our tour.

The tour was great. We had a private boat on our own with guide and other 4 staff. Loved the cave visit and the kayaking. The weather was not warm so we did not swim on the beach but we spent 20 minutes to hike up to the top hill of the island for a wonderful bay view. Magnificent tour and many thanks to David - our guide who did a great job
Do not sign up to this truck! We had booked the tour for the one full day we were in Halong Bay (from overseas) months prior. At 11pm the night before we were due to tour early the next morning, the operator asked if they could move us to the afternoon, which we could not. When we had gotten ready for the day and were waiting for pick up 20 minutes before departure, our operator cancelled on us with no explanation. We were forced to try and rebook at great cost.
We did a private tour with just my husband and I and Johnny, our tour guide was excellent. We loved the experience - quiet, private, and custom - extremely enjoyable,
It was a perfect trip, our guide Tony was very funny and had so much information for us. Very nice tour, would recommend this tour!
Enjoyed trip and special mention to Tommy. Enjoyed the cave experience. Was nice to see the limestone views from the boat
It was very nice, very good guide who could speak english and show us around at the different places. A bit cloudy and windy but it was still very nice.
Lovely stay at the boat visiting various places in the Ha Long bay. Would recommend this to anyone! Was very nice to check some islands around and go with a smaller boat through the cave as well as a guided tour through another cave.
The whole day was very confusing. We were not treated as we had been on our previous tours. Language barrier and lack of info and direction.
The cave walk by was good lunch cold and don’t like being asked for a tip. Boat a bit old but safe enough
Do not buy from Viator, better go on the spot and buy Thế tickets. I bought a 6hr Halong tour, when I went to the place no one knew who the company were, after 25 min walking around I manage to find them. They made me paid an extra 250.000vn per person and we were 3. You go to the harbour you pay only 450.000vn pp including everything apart from lunch. Viator rip off
I would say that the price is misleading because there is anyway mandatory fee of 290k for the things that are visited on the way. So I think it must be included in the price as there is no option to not pay it. The boat is slow, I personally don't enjoy it. My opinion is very subjective - I have seen too many similar views in the world.
It took 45 minutes to get 25 people on board 😕 1,5 hours boat trip to first Cave stop. We enjoyed the time on Deck in between the stunning landscape. We could buy cold Drinks in the boat. First stop: We had 45 minutes to walk through the Cave - which was time enough and really a great experience (although a lot of tourists) Next stop: Bamboo Boots or kayaking on our own - which was quite funny - but also very crowded. Last stop: Titov island - crowded, a lot of waste…😟 no reason to go there again. Afterwards, approx. 1hour back to Ha Long; this time straight ahead as it was getting dark.
We had a great tour of Ha Long Bay, and learned a great deal of the city, its culture, and the foods. This is a must to do and see when in Ha Long City.
The tour company was very communicative and called us on the day to make sure we were able to find them at the cruise terminal. It's a little chaotic in there but after a while, we were taken to the boat and the trip got underway. If you add the lunch option, they serve it right away so if you've already eaten that morning, you might want to skip it. The weather was great and our leader/guide was kind and helpful (I think his name was Tomi?). The caves are very cool and the kayaking time was fun (plan to get wet if you choose to kayak). I would recommend this to anyone visiting the bay!
We used the company boat and transfer service and were totally satisfied with their care and hearted staff. Pick up from Hanoi airport to the town city was fine, Driver was on time picking up at the airport. Drive was smooth. Our boat the next day was really good too; we joined the group of around 30 others. Nice lunch; boat staff was welcoming and helpful. Tour guide was good too. Nothing we dislike. Later we were brought to Hanoi with a small nice van.
We had a wonderful time over the morning boat tour (0830H to 1500H). The tour rate was very reasonable, lunch extra of 6$ was very good with a variety of seafood and Vietnamese food. Halong Bay is spectacular and its worthy the 13$ for the entrance fee.
We were lucky as we had spare time for Halong bay as the storm came and everything was shut down for 2 days. Company staff was very reliable and offered us the change of date; the rate was very reasonable and best we could find. Halong bay was stunning and a pity if we had not seen it.
We had a wonderful time with Ha, he was perfect for the trip. Halong bay was breathtaking and the arrangement was very nice. The rate also was very reasonable!
The boat excursion was enjoyable, the shuttle was clean, the tour guide was fluent in English, and we had a fantastic time on a shared boat. The seafood prawns, fish, squid, clams, and other Vietnamese meals such as spring rolls are superb. Kayaking was also a terrific experience, and we had a lot of fun together.
DO NOT BOOk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For $20!!!!!! I paid $20 US each for the Ha Long tour from Ha Long Bay. The bus transfer picked us up and took us to the port. After given my tickets and was about to get on the boat I was told by the "Boat" operator that I was required to pay an additional $290,000 dong because my $20 did NOT include Boat ticket and admission to the tour stops. I called the tour operator and he said I should have read the online description and sent me a screenshot of what was "included" and at the bottom was x entrance fee to Ha Bay $290 000.????? Was NOT included in the included heading?? What?? So after about 30min of trying to figure this all out while everyone was waiting on the boat I had to pay an additional 1,160,000 dong and had no money left for food or drinks. Finally they over stuffed the bus back to the hotels and people had to sit on each other!!!
Everything was very good, especially the guide was very friendly, we got picked up from our hotel to the port to join another 20 persons. Boat was large for all of us, clean and the lunch was very tasty. Halong bay weather was misty, the cave was spectacular
We booked this tour for the morning shift and find this valuable for the amount we paid. Guide was perfect; everything was smooth from picking up us in the hotel to the port to the boat quality. Lunch not included so we could choose not to have it as we had big breakfast. The tour finished at around 3 PM and they brought us back to the hotel after. Nice experience with very good service.
Amaziing Morning trip We booked the 6 hours from 9 AM to 3 PM trip to Halong bay with this company and it was just perfect time for everything. They picked up us at the hotel to join the group of around 20 others. Staff were all very nice and especially our guide Ha was amazing. Had a wonderful time thanked to his help.
We had a great time with Ha. The day went very well and he was a good guide to go with. We learnt a lot about Vietnam with his wonderful knowledge and English skills. Highly recommend it.
Halong bay was the highlight of our trip to Vietnam. We enjoyed very much the wonderful morning boat tour,Windy was perfect,he helped us to arrange everything for our journey without any issues and the rate was really reasonable.
Ha was great guide. 18 of us had a wonderful time with him. Halong bay was a must-see place in Vietnam. We will definitely be back and look for Ha. Boat, lunch and activities were all very good. Highly recommend!
Nightmare. We have been to many places in the world, but we have never seen it so crowded with people and boats. If you want to see the bay in its best light, please watch the James Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies". Departure 1 hour late, "tour guide" absolutely incomprehensible (although we can speak English). The bay is so crowded that we didn't even get off the boat. There was enough space on the boat itself, the crew went about their business.
Alles super, gut getimed.
The promotion was worth it. The price for our trip for two people was very good for a morning trip. We had fun enjoying Hạ Long Bay on the sun deck and our tourist guide did a great job. The food here is delicious and the bots are beautiful too. We enjoyed kayaking at this location. The $12 fee to Hạ Long Bay is not included in the ticket price, as we knew beforehand. The $6 midday meal was delicious and fresh. Shrimp, cuttlefish, fish and spring rolls were all freshly provided by the chef when we boarded the boat.
Our perfect day started in the morning. They picked us up without problems, Halong Bay was incredible! Highly recommended. The food on the boat was very good. Everything was as expected and on time. The guide was very knowledgeable. The price was very reasonable.
This boat trip was great! The boat was not new but it was clean. The staff was very welcoming. The boat trip also stopped at a few small islands and the view was really beautiful after climbing up the mountain~ The caves and the boat tunnel experience here were also very interesting. I can only say that our guide was very nice and helped us arrange a delicious lunch and explained a lot to us in the caves. We departed from Hanoi, so we had to pay an extra $10. This little trip went smoothly and the driver was very safe. Overall, it was easy to communicate~
RUN AWAY! We bought tickets for a shared French guide boat. Entry into the bay ($12.5/pers) is supposed to be included. In the end, the guide did not speak French, the entrance to the bay was extra, and the Customer Service only made a meagre apology without accepting any compensation, on the pretext that there are no Francophone guides for groups in the world (!!!). (We met several of them on the same day) The trip also started an hour late, so the guide put pressure all along to catch up on time to get home on time...
The boat tour was excellent, we were picked up at the hotel and met in port with 20 other people. The guide informed very well and cared about everything. He helped us with anything to make sure we had a good time. The visit of the caves was super good, and the kayaking experience amazing.
Wonderful scenery and people. We were welcomed at the port, David, who was our family tour guide for the half day trip to Halong Bay. He spoke very good English and explained everything about Halong Bay and the area. The great visit to the cave and a short trip to visit the small cave with the small boat were what you should do about our trip. Lunch was good with a good variety of food.
We enjoyed Halong Bay an amazing 6-hour boat trip. At dawn with the team, the guide was excellent, the instructions were very clear and precise. There weren't that many people on the boat. The highlight of the trip was the visit to the cave and kayaking to visit the small cave.
We booked with the Enterprise the afternoon tour and it was perfect. We were picked up by bus and participated with a group of 22 people. Check in was simple; The boat was clean and large enough for all participants. The food was fine. Halong bay is magical.
Halong bay is the most beautiful place on Earth, the landscape, the cave and the island shapes are amazing!. It was a very spectacular day, the guide Tony unmatched, fun and attentive to every detail. Highly recommended in relation to price / quality.
