Amanda Premier Cruise - Ha Long Bay - All Inclusive 2d1n

We had a group of 20pax, had our own bus for transfer. Check in was smooth. But condition of rooms was really bad . It's an old ship the bathroom specifically felt unclean due to wear and tear . My room 214 had Air-conditioning problem they would not fix it and we had to stay in hot an humid condition as the cruise was fully booked so they could not shift is to another room. The room didn't a kettle for warm water . Lunch as so so not much option for vegetarian. Dinner was good . Activities was also good. But service wise not up to the standard. It seems no one had a clue where you can get a spoon or some salt and sugar . The manager Tom calls himself cruise but he is more Tom and Jerry very load and without manners. Language is a problem their English is also not clear . Nothing much to talk about . Just so so may be good for budgeted group or family wishing to take the experience but not for travellers like me who emphasis of service quality.

We booked (fully paid) a presidential suite (60sqm) with Amanda Cruise Halong Bay months in advance... Everything was confirmed... Even three days before they sent an email to reconfirm... "Unexpectedly" the day before the cruise they informed us they had to move us to another Cruise ship the Amanda Premier with a room of 25sqm... As a gesture of kindness for the inconvenience they "comp" us a bottle of the "finest" Vietnamese wine (from what I was reading the cost of it just a few dollars)! Shame on you Amanda Cruises!

Very good service from Jenny. Andy was very enthusiastic and we enjoyed the kayaking and food/ cocktails while enjoying the views of Halong Bay. The only thing that would be better is less rubbish and diesel in the bay as this will impact the environment.

Incredible experience. The trip itself on the boat was amazing. We got to swim, visit a cave and kayak. The manager Tony and staff member Andrew stood out with their hospitality and incredible humour! The reason for the removal of one star is the bus ride to the boat, through this company. We were dropped off at a "rest stop," which wasn't in the itinerary and pushed into a silk factory for an hour. We were pushed into a room and encouraged to buy random products. When we asked to leave we were told to wait 25mins and our bus was locked. Other than that, was great.

Kevin, our host on board & his team were exemplary. He went above and beyond to make our experience with Amanda Premiums tour as memorable as he possibly could. From the moment we boarded until we disembarked the following day. He was professional, friendly and hardworking throughout our whole trip. I attended the Cooking class & Tai chi session which were both conducted by Kevin which were very enjoyable. He also got me up to try bamboo dancing, brilliant. Thank you Kevin for making my Halong Bay cruising the highlight of my Vietnam trip, and one that I will take again

Vivu Travel booked our one night stay with Amanda Cruises March 2026. What a fantastic experience! Yes, it was one night, but it was a fully packed first day, sleep, and fully packed morning before departing. The food was the best we had on our 18 day excursion in Vietnam (though we loved all the food). Dan the Man, tour guide on The Amanda, was personal, fun, and energetic. They definitely make your one-night stay a memorable experience! We had three excursions, and each of them were great! One recommendation-- if you can, book during the week rather than a week-end. We had a Sunday-Monday cruise, and the Monday was half as busy as the Sunday.

The cruise was awesome, great food, splended views and the crew were so attentive like leon and david.

If you want to enjoy the peaceful and magical atmosphere of Halong Bay, DON’T choose Amanda Premier Cruise. The staff is disrespectul of customers’ needs and the acoustic pollution, coming from very loud music on the ship, is absolutely unbearable in such a natural environment. Hot water missing. WIFI not available in the most expensive cabins.

Great 2 night stay. 2 nights is a must as otherwise on a day trip or 1 night you miss so much of the inner island and bays. The main bay is so so busy and commercialised, huge boat car park. Boat and team was very nice. Like most rating Vietnam 4 or 5 star is not western, but is was fine. Balcony is a must. Cruise manger and wife with team excellent service and accommodating . Thanks for a great time .

We traveled with Amanda Halong Cruise as a family for 2 days and 1 night, and it was a truly memorable experience. The trip started perfectly with a luxurious bus pickup from our hotel, including smooth baggage handling. There was a short stop for shopping local handmade items, followed by arrival at Amanda’s well-organized recreation office at Halong Bay. After document verification, we were allotted two luxury rooms. The boarding was lively and fun with traditional drum beats. The climate was cloudy and best for outings, no rain. Once onboard, the staff explained the full itinerary clearly. The buffet lunch had many options, and we were very happy to find Indian food, which we really enjoyed. Dinner and breakfast were also delicious. The rooms were spacious, modern, and beautifully decorated, with all modern facilities and a private balcony. Our luggage was already placed near our rooms, and the welcome decoration in room was a lovely surprise. The staff were extremely polite, cooperative, and caring, always trying their best to keep every guest happy. Evening and night activities were well planned and enjoyable, with drinks and food. They planned cooking class for making Vietnam Dish. Overall, Amanda Cruise made our family trip to Halong Bay comfortable, relaxing, and unforgettable. Highly recommended! — CS Dharma Veer Jashnani

Layla was my massage therapist and she did a great job. Anyone visiting Vietnam please choose Amanda luxury cruise and do take massage from massage from Layla. She really helped me ease my stiffness by doing acupuncture and amazing experience. Must try place, glad I choose massage from Layla and choose Amanda Luxury Cruise. Manager and staff was amazing and helpful. Food and service was fantastic.

Very disappointing I became ill after experiencing the horrific artificial room deodorizer along with the horrific fuel smell from the boat when the windows were slid open. It became worse than the fumes came directly inside. I proceeded to vomit for the next eight hours.

Ozil was our tour guide. He was helpful and explained the journey in detail. We had great time and would come back again

Excellent cruise in Lan Ha Bay. Suggest doing 2 nights as it’s more relaxed. The staff are all so helpful and accommodating especially Jenny and Andre.

Wonderful experience ! Everything arranged by the cruise staff was very impressive starting with the grand welcome, a clean place , good atmosphere, guided tour and plenty of food options. Staff were entertaining and friendly. We would like to recommend it and would choose them again!

We had originally booked the Hera Luxury cruise and were switched to the Amanda Premier cruise due to issues with the Hera ship. While the last minute switch was disappointing, we were offered a cabin upgrade that made up for it. We stayed in the Royal suite which had a nice little balcony and a bathtub. However the toilet sometimes did not flush properly. The staff were friendly enough but there was limited activities on board - perhaps due to the rain.

We had a great experience with the Amanda Legend Cruise. Crew member Rick and cruise manager William made us feel super welcome and created a great atmosphere. The team is very knowledgeable and I highly recommend the Amanda Legend Cruise.

We booked the 2D/1N Ha Long Bay cruise with Amanda Premium cruises. The entire cruise was very well organised, including pick up and drop off to and from our hotel in Hà Nội Old Quarter. Ozil and his staff were very polite and helpful. The food on board was delicious. They had planned the activities very well and we had plenty of time to explore Sung Sot caves and Titop island. The rooms on board were clean and luxurious. We especially appreciated that they were eco-friendly throughout the cruise. We would definitely recommend this cruise.

強烈不推薦任何人選擇Amanda Premier Cruise，如果您想體驗傳統的下龍灣行程，請避開它。我原本預訂的是Amanda Premier Cruise，但在免費取消期過後，我在出發前一天下午4點收到通知，說我的行程將被改為Amanda Luxury Cruise，行程完全不同，改成了蘭哈灣（而且沒理會我的意願，直接assume我同意），我們不能免費取消，即使是他們更改了船及行程，我一旦取消，將收取全額費用。由於我堅持要走原定路線，他們強迫我改乘低檔的Hera Boutique Cruise，而且沒有任何補償。 Hera的房間又舊又擠。雖然他們說房間已經升級了，但Hera Cruise的檔次比Amanda低，船也比較老舊。在與Amanda Cruise團隊的溝通中，他們謊話連篇（例如他們說Amanda Cruise的所有遊輪在遊覽Luon洞時都只能劃皮划艇，沒有竹筏可選，而Hera在Luon洞卻提供竹筏）。 I strongly advise against anyone choosing the Amanda Premier Cruise. If you want a traditional Ha Long Bay experience, avoid it. I originally booked the Amanda Premier Cruise, but after the free cancellation period, I received a notification at 4 PM the day before departure that my trip would be changed to the Amanda Luxury Cruise, with a completely different itinerary, this time to Lan Ha Bay (and they ignored my wishes, simply assuming I agreed) and I cannot cancel the booking, they will charge 100% fee even it is their problem to change the Cruise. Because I insisted on the original route, they forced me to switch to the lower-end Hera Boutique Cruise without any compensation. The rooms at Hera were old and cramped. Although they said the rooms had been upgraded, the Hera Cruise was lower-class than Amanda, and the boat was older. In my communication with the Amanda Cruise team, they lied repeatedly (for example, they said that all Amanda Cruises only offered kayaking during the Luon Cave tour, with no bamboo rafts available, while Hera offered bamboo rafts at Luon Cave).

Fantastic trip with great food and entertainment the cruise manager Thinh had a very good sense of humour, would recommend this cruise to anyone who is interested in enjoying Ha Long Bay

Overall experience was excellent. Cruise was luxurious, Food was really good considering we are vegans they still manage to please us. Cruise staff and managers were very helpful and supportive and were well trained. Would recommend everyone to go with Amanda Cruises in your visit to Vietnam-Hanoi- Ha Long bay. Amanda legend cruise. Cruise manager: Nam. We had an unforgettable time. The crew went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. We requested family style Vietnamese meals when we got onboard and the kitchen staff made it happen. Every dish was amazing. The bartender and waiters all spoke English and provided incredible service. Nam, the cruise manager, made it a priority to make sure everything ran smoothly and on time.

We would like to thank the Amanda Legend cruise team and especially Nam for their amazing hospitality, food and local knowledge while on our cruise . We got to experience a scenic speed boat tour, kayaking, cave hiking and opportunity to swim at the local beach. I definitely recommend this to anyone traveling ha long bay.

the cruise was very average. the food was fine over all, but they actually didn’t have enough food for breakfast. Our room smelled like paint because they were painting just outside and they just put an air freshener in to fix it. the room also seemed to have mildew issues. the only non crowded activity was the kayaking. everything else was standing in lines because all the boats get there at the same time. i would not recommend, but I have no idea if there are better options. Was very surprised that so many people left high ratings

My family and I went on the Amanda Legend Cruise with Nam as our tour guide, and we had an excellent time! It was beautiful sailing through ha long bay and visiting the caves. Nam was very informative and professional and we learnt a lot about local culture and history. The food was great too.

Great trip ! Staff were very attentive and rooms were clean. We had a great time on the private boat and had Thang was very helpful and accommodated a lot of our friends food restrictions. Manh took us to our tours and was also very helpful !

Review: It was a really good experience. The scenery at Hanoi Bay is breathtaking — the mountains around the bay are stunning, and the cave they take you to visit is cool. The food is good, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff onboard are really friendly and sweet. Overall, it’s great value for money. Tips: Take a swimming kit, a bag, and a good hat, and maybe something like a shirt to cover yourself. There’s a beach with some paddling boat rides, and it’s sunny. Bring sports shoes for the hike and slippers for the beach. Also, pack an extra dress for the night party. With your travel agent, make sure your return transport is arranged for when you come out of the cruise.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day/1 night cruise on the Hai Long Dragon. The cabins were very clean and comfortable, larger than I expected and complete with a small balcony and air conditioning. The food was very nice and the cocktails were great value (especially at happy hour). The staff were very friendly and would go out of their way to make our cruise enjoyable. I was disappointed that I woke up early for Tai Chi and no instructor turned up, when I mentioned this to the cruise director he was happy to run the session a little later. I love that Halong Bay have banned plastic bottles to help keep the area environmentally sustainable therefore you cannot take plastic bottles with you, you can only purchase water in glass bottles on board. The waters of Halong Bay were calm and relaxing. I would highly recommend this cruise.
