Overcharged, admitted fault, and still makes you wait 40 days.
The hotel charged us more than the agreed rate. When we raised it, the staff openly admitted the mistake was theirs. Yet their only "solution" is to refund us in 35–40 days. That means we are forced to give this hotel an interest-free loan of our own money because of their error.
A mistake is forgivable. Refusing to correct it promptly is not. Any competent business can reverse a wrongly charged amount far faster than five to six weeks. This shows a complete lack of accountability and no respect for guests.
Check your bill carefully, and think twice before booking here.
This was the 2nd time we stayed at this exact Somerset apartment. This place is amazing. The best features are the swimming pool. On both stays the swimming pool has been empty and the water is clear. Much clearer than the other Somerset swimming pools. The other good thing is is next to the giant supermarket called go so you can stock up on essentials. Although this was the 2nd time we stayed here, it won’t be my last. This is now my default accommodation in hai phong
First impression is this place is very secure. Not everyone can enter the property. It has security at the roadside and a gate. Even Grab drivers delivering food is not allowed in, we have to walk to the road. And they have an extra security guard at the hotel entrance.
The front desk manager speaks English very well and explained things very clearly.
1. Nice size outdoor pool with a kids play area and slide. Their workout room has all the machines I need for a full body workout. They have a putting green for golf! ⛳️
2. Their breakfast that's included is pretty good! We came from Vinpearl resorts and luxury hotels in Phu Quoc and Da Nang so didnt expect much.
3. $100 CAD per night for 2 bed, 2 bath is a pretty good deal! And only 10min from the airport.
The room is space and comfortable. The location is convenient for commuting. All of them, the staffs are very supportive and friendly especially Ms. Rosy,Nick and Mr. Cong they supported me a lot. I highly recommend for everyone and will continue to book this hotel for next travels.
Spacious and Great Value. We enjoyed spreading out in a 2 bedroom apartment for a couple of nights, while doing a 1 day Halong Bay day tour. The washing machine/dryer meant we could catch up on our washing. Also right next door to a big supermarket. Breakfast was not included in our rate and we paid extra for it, and were disappointed. Some of it was cold and not to our liking. I think it is set up more for business travellers and we did not go for breakfast until after 9am. Also probably more set up for Japanese and Korean business travellers' tastes, which was not ours, so I'll still give 5 stars to be fair. The next day we ate breakfast we'd purchased from the supermarket, which is what I'd recommend.
