Carmel Forest By Isrotel Exclusive

My wife and I recently stayed at the hotel for some rest and relaxation. The location is exclusive and offers scenic mountain views, comfortable beds, and strong shower water pressure. While the hotel ambiance is pleasant, the rooms and hallways feel a bit dated, giving off the feel of a former 5-star property that is now closer to a 4-star experience. The staff members were consistently friendly, quick, and helpful. For dinner, the menu offered many options with 5-star presentation, though the taste was mediocre. Breakfast was excellent, with an extensive buffet selection. Additionally, the spa was wonderful with professional providers, and the main pool area had a charming vintage style. Overall, we had a very nice stay and would certainly return.

While the resort itself is beautiful, the restaurant was a letdown. The menu is quite limited, and the food felt uninspired and boring. I noticed that the dishes were often repetitive and didn't accurately reflect what was written in the menu. At this price level, the dining should be a highlight, but unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations."

From the second you get the first signature smell as you walk in, until the second you leave, nothing can be faulted. Wonderful staff, delicious food and perfect location.

I'm rating the experience itself and not the price/vfm, since I think most people that come here don't pay full price out of pocket. The rooms are great, refurbished, comfortable bed, very good shower etc. The food in the hotel was also very good. However there are a few things that can be improved. The service can be better on several different fronts, such as by being more helpful to arriving guests or taking your belongings to your room. In addition the facilities can also be improved - e.g. 1 small hot tub for a large hotel, meaning you have to pretty much stand in line to get in. All in all, good experience on several fronts, but can also be better, especially given the "luxury hotel" status/branding.
