Excellent experience with this tour company, and my guide Louis. Highly reliable, great communication, thoughtful, and caring. I felt safe and cared for the entire time, and the guide made excellent suggestions that made my trip even better than I could have imagined. I strongly recommend this tour company.

Itinerary
Climbing up more than a hundred steps, normally takes 10-15 minutes. When on the peak, you'll be taken aback by the amazing view of the beautiful karst landscape set as countless hills around the Li River. If you are a shutterbug, this is one of the best place for photos of the breathtaking views over the bend in the Li River. Tens of thousands of award-winning pictures were taken there. You'll see the sea of clouds around the hills and rivers - it's a mind-blowing view.
You will take a 8-minute ferry across the Li River with local villagers to the other side. In the vicinity of Yangshuo, Xingping village is more than 1000 years old and houses a number of historic residences. If you visit here on market day occasionally, the village comes alive. By the way, Xingping is also the location of the photo to on the back of 20 yuan banknotes. Lunch is not including in this tour. I highly recommend you to try local specialities, like Beer Fish and Stuffed Guilin Snails. Our guide will assist you with options - whether it be snacks, rice noodle stalls or restaurants in and around Xingping. Cafe also can be founded here.
Yulong River a tributary of the Li River, smaller and quieter. Cycling is one of best ways to get close to the countryside of Yangshuo. Follow the beautiful Yulong River past rice paddies, wallowing water buffalo and farmers crop. The fields vary in colors according to the change of seasons. Cycling path is flat, by bicycle is easy for most people. If you look for an more comfortable way to tour, I recommend you to choose electric scooter. Another highlight of a trip to Yulong River is taking a bamboo raft. But this is an optional activity, you can ask your tour guide to book for you on site. No motorized raft, and row by a real bamboo-raft man. Rafting quietly and casually on the beautiful Yulong River. You can see the hills on both banks in different shapes. There are thick bamboos along the river and the banana trees are green in four seasons. Essential rafting part: Shui E Di 水厄底 - Gongnong Bridge 工农桥 (Duration: 40 mins), Price: RMB 200 per raft. Maximum 2 Pax.

Had an incredible time with a great guide Chase. The views were immaculate and the scooter ride / cycle at the end was beautiful!
My partner and I went on this full day tour. It was very convenient; We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. our tour guide trace was knowledgeable and professional, and had great recommendations for food. We especially liked using the E bike. I would recommend this tour to visitors, including visitors from outside China.
This was one of the best tours I’ve been on. Our tour guide, Li Ping, and driver were both professional and personable. I wish I knew how to ride a bike better in order to have enjoyed the full tour. It was really fun learning about my family’s home town from Li Ping’s anecdotes.
Booked the tour for my family of 5 and we got a private tour! Gary, our tour guide, was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. He shared not only historical and cultural anecdotes of the places we visited, but also his personal experiences, heritage, and background — which added a nice personal touch to the tour. We went to the main attractions in Yangshuo — climbing up Xianggong Hill for a breathtaking view of the Guilin karst hills, visiting the quaint Xingping Ancient Town for lunch, and walking along the riverbank of the Yulong River for a sneak peek at rural life. The pace was laidback and we had plenty of time to really soak in the atmosphere at each spot. When asked for food recommendations back in Guilin town centre, Gary gave us so many good local food options. Our driver was also skilled and careful when he navigated the roads during our journey. All in all, it was a cosy, fun, and engaging tour with Gary. He mentioned he also does tours on a freelance basis, so feel free to contact him if you want a fun and comprehensive tour of Guilin! The tour was overall very good. I was picked up on time from my accommodation and the whole journey was very smooth. The different places we visited were indeed very beautiful and the guide had information to share about them. I was supposed to be in a small group but nobody else joined. I had a train to catch later and I was delivered at the train station also perfectly on time.
I had so much fun on this tour, my guide Lily was amazing and made sure we had a good time and were taken care of. She even helped us get train tickets at the station for our next day departure. The mountains throughout the region were beautiful and the activities of boating on the river, scootering along the rice fields and going up the hill highlighted the scenery nicely. This was my third trip with trippest and will use them again. I definitely recommend this tour and trippest as a whole!
Easy on time pick-up from our hotel. All activities were well organised - Lily altered itinerary sequence to ensure we had the best experience - eg. we headed to the rafting first to ensure we experienced the beautiful river and mountain scenery before the crowds and cruise boats arrived. Lunch at the Secret Garden Restaurant was delicious and the bike-riding was a great experience. Views from Xianggong Hill were amazing. We never felt rushed and at no stage did we have to wait around or queue for ages. We chose not to head in to Yangshuo for dinner and the Show, but returned early evening to our Guilin hotel where Lily ensured there was somewhere we could enjoy dinner. The tour van driver was excellent. Lily was very informative and related well with all members of our small (5 person) group. It was a great day!
My wife and I went on this mini tour in late October 2019, and it was an amazing experience for us as first-time visitors to this area. The tour guide (Mr. Yang) was wonderful and provided excellent information about local habits-lifestyle and took us to a restaurant to eat some of their area famous food - sticky rice and chicken soup cooked in bamboo over a pitted fire - fabulous meal! We also stopped at the old town in Yangshuo during the day and while it was not as busy in the day, we were told that area is always bustling and jammed pack in the evenings. While the scenes were spectacular, Mr. Yang added to this very memorable trip for us with his wealth of information. A big thank you to Mr. Yang, as he spent more than 8 hours that day to take care of us. William Lui
Lili was our excellent guide. Our family of five had a bit of everything, driving, rafting, walking, and cycling. Beyond the expected guidance of the places and attractions we visited, Lili opened her heart and shared with us the challenges and triumphs of life in rural China. Lili was flexible to make changes that we asked for, such as deviations to local markets, off the path of the regular tour. Lili is an avid photographer and helped us with optimizing our photos from the area. I recommend the tour and Lili.
This is an excellent tour, though the risk is always that the weather won't be great - as was the case when I did the tour. That can mean visibility of the amazing scenery is limited. However full credit to tour guide Lily for ensuring that we visiting the key areas at the right times so that we made the best of the day. Being in a small group ensures great flexibility and scheduling changes to make the most from the day. And the knowledge and friendliness of Lily (as well as her photography skills) made this a memorable experience
I had the best day in Guilin with Lily!! The whole tour is amazing and Lily is a very kind and smart guide!
Our guide was amazing! Because of heavy rains the day before our scheduled tour, the hill we hiked up to was mostly fogged in. The climb up was beautiful though. We went at the beginning of the rainy season so we knew it was a possibility. We also couldn't do the bamboo raft since the rivers were swollen. Instead we visited the Silver Cave, which was amazing. Although, being on the river was why we choose to visit the area our tour guide tried to find things to do to make it as enjoyable. I LOVED the bike ride along the river. It was so peaceful and the karst mountains are amazing. I also loved eating lunch at the Secret Garden. The food was great but visiting the stone village was like walking back in time. It was also great to learn how they make traditional fans from hand. It was fun to try it ourselves. I'd highly recommend this tour to get a feel of Yangshou and to see the sights.
The tour was great. There were only 2 persons and the guide (plus the driver of course). The tour guide, Yang was really professional, informative and passionate about her work. She was also one of the most polite persons I have ever met. The view of karst landscape from the top of Xianggong Hill was amazing and really worth of climbing up quite steep flights of stairs for nearly 15 minutes. Bicycle ride in Yangshuo’s Countryside - very peaceful and relaxing with lots of stops for the photos. Chinese lunch in a restaurant called Secret Garden was really tasty. We ordered a few different dishes to share. Sizzling beef with vegetables and Yangshuo duck in batter were my favourite. And of course the raft ride on the Li River was amazing. The rafts would accomodate up to four passangers and take you to the most scenic parts of the river. Before booking this tour I thought of taking a different one with a regular bigger tourist boat but I don't regret taking this one with the small rafts instead. The seats were comfortable. The engine did not make unbearable noise. It was really a tranquil ride which perfectly ended the tour.
Mystical, magical, breath-taking...adjectives defy the beauty of the Guilin countryside we experienced on our tour with Trippest (China Highlights) this past fall. From the hike to the peak of Xianggong Hill to see the Hills and the Li River, to the bike ride through the Yangshuo countryside, to lunch at the beautiful Secret Garden restaurant, to fan painting in a little ancient village, to a raft ride on the Li River, it felt as though we had stumbled into heaven. Chasen, our guide that day, was an absolute delight. We could not have had a kinder, more informative, or interesting guide than Chasen. We were so sorry that we had already booked another tour company for a tour to the Longji Rice Terraces the next day as we so enjoyed our experience with Chasen. Trippest, you knocked it out of the park with this tour!
I'm so glad I opted to do this tour rather than try to see these things on my own. We were able to do things that either take forever on a bus or are expensive in a taxi. (e.g., getting from Yangshuo to Guilin after the show is tricky because the new Guilin bus station is far outside town and the shuttle buses from there into town stop running at 10pm. You can take a taxi, but esp. since I was traveling alone, I decided to pay to have the Trippest driver wait and bring me back.) My guide Lily was great - she spoke great English, had interesting stories, and was incredibly helpful. We did a short hike to an overlook that was pretty even in the fog, stopped at a beautiful ancient bridge, had a local Guilin-style noodle lunch, scooter-ed along the river in the countryside (it was gorgeous!), painted Chinese fans (the small village was really neat and the artist was very helpful and friendly), took a bamboo raft trip and saw the Nine Painted Horses, then I opted for dinner in Yangshuo followed by the Impression Sanjie Liu show. The show was really interesting and pretty - it's set on the river with mountains in the background. It's performed in Mandarin but I could still follow - it's not a story, it showcases how 4 different minority ethnic groups celebrate their annual festivals. I was the only one on the tour, so the driver was willing to wait for me and drive me and the guide back to Guilin afterward. It was a great, fun-filled day!
