Li River Cruise & Yangshuo Countryside Private Day Tour

We had a lovely day trip on the scenic Li River. Our ride was smooth, the scenery iconic, and the food plentiful. We had a delightful and relaxing time. I highly recommend this tour.

Of taking cruise boat, book a 4 star with brown leather seats. Nothing less than 4 star boat which has so so good and takes 4 hours from the nearest boat port to the Yangshou town disembark location called Dragon head mountain port. Be prepared to walk stairs and long corridor which can be very crowded and hot. Book seat on the 2nd floor on the left side such as seat 64. Rains start in April through June

Booked a 1-day tour with this company, Charles was recommended by a colleague, contacted him the day before and decided on a tour, communication was hassle-free. The tour guide, Mike provided excellent service and was even singing during the trip which I found pleasant despite not speaking & understanding the local language.

We were perfectly picked up from our hotel and taken to the Li River for a beautiful cruise. After that, our guide Jack took us on a wonderful tour of several iconic spots in Guilin. The whole experience was truly extraordinary. Jack is an absolute star — he speaks perfect English, has a great sense of humor, is extremely punctual, knowledgeable, and made the day really enjoyable. He has all the qualities of an outstanding guide. Highly recommended! Thank you, Jack!

Everything is perfect. Excellent organization and availability

Obviously weather dependent. On a clear, sunny day, this trip is stunning. The views are fabulous. Spent the whole trip (excluding lunch !) standing up top taking in every second. All the boats are pretty similiar so don't worry too much about which one you choose. The boat guides tell you of all the importants points of interest.

We only booked the trip one day before. Reply was swift. Driver Peter Yang waited for us in the hotel lobby. He saw my husband had trouble walking as he fell the day before. He immediately arranged a wheelchair. Looked after him the whole trip. Can’t ask for more care and efficiency. Highly recommended. Please thank Peter for everything.

We were collected from our hotel by Jacky who had excellent English and driven (about an hour) to the Li River siding. We quickly found our boat amongst the dozens lined up and proceeded on our four-hour cruise on a 3 star boat. There was no English at all - the life jackets were stowed under your seat. The boat was at capacity but very clean and the lunch box meal was good. The end of trip arrival area was a scramble and we had trouble finding where our meet destination was (Starbucks) as our Aussie phone nav failed us. A quick sms to Charles soon had us on the right road to meet our guide. Jacky took us home via a very pretty bridge then we opted to pay for the 35 (Chinese money) freeway back to Guilin which took an hour. We arrived back at the hotel about 4-5 pm.

Wonderful cruise. The boat was very clean and the seats in vip very comfortable with exclusive access to the front deck. Staff did not speak any English and I didn’t understand why I was offered to order food when I understood lunch was included. It was and I didn’t need to order the fish but it was delicious if expensive.

It was really amazing today. The guide was speaking very good english and was very interested into cultural exchange. He explained us a lot and was very kind. The organisation was perfect. Thank you for the wonderful day! We can recommend him 100%!!

Charles helped arrange a wonderful cruise on the Li River all the way from Guilin to Yangshou. The scenery was amazing and the boat itself was very nice and comfortable. The cruise lasted around 4 hours, and the scenery was breathtaking. I would recommend using Charles to anyone coming to visit Guilin and Yangshou. It is a fantastic and memorable trip to behold!

Wonderful tour, everything was perferct. All Day long tour, pick up at hotel lobby, 4 Hours boat cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo with Stunning views and local fish to taste on the boat. Then, with our guide Silvia ( a fantastic, well prepared, helpfull and nice person) we walked in Yangshuo West st. then we had a 40 minute ride on bamboo raft, and we visited landscape in Yangshuo area. We had really good moments, we could take our time without hurry. I really raccomanded this tour. Nothing to complain.

Beautiful and very well organised trip. There were 11 of us and our Chinese guide - Quiaoli, English name Silvia - was very nice and allowed us to spend a wonderful day. I recommend this tour, very scrupulous Charles and very prepared Quiaoli. Great!

Marvelous day with our guide, Silvia. Everything was like promised (boat, lunch, yangshuo, bridge). Our driver was right on time for pick up. Silvia explained us plenty of information and history. We really enjoyed the organisation of this trip. We recommend it.

Peter was a wonderful tour guide and driver. He was very knowledgeable about Guilin and Yangshuo, and shared a number of interesting stories and facts with us throughout the trip. Although it rained (as it’s the wet season), it was perfect for us, as it really added to the mystical atmosphere of this region 😊 We loved every moment and highly recommend this tour! Tips for other travellers: - Communication with Charles / the team is very easy via WhatsApp/ We Chat. - Pick up and return is to your accommodation. - You’ll be dropped off for the boat tour in Guilin and picked up / met at the wharf in Yangshuo for the return countryside tour. - The boat cruise guide / announcements are in Mandarin, but the key highlights announced include: 1) Nine horses mountain; 2) The Li River view on the 20 Yuan note; and 3) Lunch at around 12:00. (You’ll notice everyone moving around for each of these, so you can’t miss them! 😉)

I am very happy that I booked Charles services, my driver and guide name was Peter and he was really helpful and nice person. He helped with everything and spend full day with me driving me to the airport at the end. I would really recommend this to everyone who wants to visit Guilin area! We visited China for the first time and we loved Guilin so much. For us Guilin is one of the most beautiful places we visited in our life till now. My wife and I approached Charlie Guilin Tour for a trip along the Li River and its surroundings. The organisation hai been perfect. On the way, he gave us a lot of information about the places and introduced us to local customs and traditions. I hope one day to go on another tour with his guide

Fantastic cruise. Suggest driver meet customer at end of cruise and not at Starbucks, not easy to find if Google maps does not work. Thought tour would include more paid visits

Wonderful experience from start to finish. We headed up straight to the top deck where we stayed for the whole duration. The scenery was just breathtaking! Guilin is a truly beautiful place and would recommend to everyone. The cruise was one of our many highlights on our China trip.

It was a great trip with Mr. Qin. He is a nice person with good Englthe ish. He pickup on time and suggested visiting the best attractions in Guilin. On The second day, our schedule was tight and he managed it by picking us up early morning after visiting the rice terrace he dropped us at the railway station. It was really amazing Guilin trip because of Mr. Qin. A special thanks to him for the nice gifts he gifted us at the end of the trip. I strongly recommend Charles Guilin to tours to explore Guilin especially if you don’t speak Chinese.

My mother and I engaged Charles to be our guide for Guilin/Yangshuo/Longji, Our main communication with Charles was through WeChat in the initial stage while liasing & deciding on the itinerary. He was really responsive and answered our queries. Charles was really helpful in planning out the itinerary for us and we covered the attraction that we wanted to visit. Besides that, Charles brought us to see the elephant trunk hill from a (free!) viewpoint! Which was great as we did not want to pay to enter just to see the elephant trunk hill! As I did not know how to cycle, Charles cycled an electric tricycle for me and my friend around the beautiful village . We booked a cruiser across Li River trhough this company. Service confirmed by mail: 1. Transportation from hotel to the boat. 2. Cruiser (arriving to Yangshuo) 3. Bus from Yangshuo to close our hotel in Guilin At arriving to Yangshuo. No information at all about bus. None waiting for us. And obviously, no bus for coming back. So, we had to look for ourselves for coming back to Guilin. At more than 80 km far from our hotel and no chinese spoken. After writing complaint, asking for just paying for services provided. Only answer obtained was only bus ticket (no taxi neither battery car already paid neither worries for coming back). Obviously didn't accepted. Fair situation, at least, is to pay for services provided. Paying us for regular bus to come to Guilin are peanuts comparing to real service provided.

So, abandoned at more than 80 km far from our hotel without knowing where to go and no chinese spoken. No reply from complaint made. Only asking for understanding because high season (when we booked three months earlier) We had to look for bus station (no chinese spoken). First a batery car to bus station (probably 5 km far, at the surrondings of Yangshuo). Hopefully a chinese person write to us the name of the bus station in chinese in a piece of paper. At bus station no English spoken either. We could buy a ticket to Guilin showing the ticket of the cruiser. Bus arrived to Gullin South Bus Station, quite far from city center. So we had to took a taxi. When arrived to the hotel. No messages about anything (where we could be, if we are ok, ...) After writing complaint, asking for money back, just that they would pay the bus (no batery car from pier to bus station in Yangshuo, no taxi in Guilin from bus station to taxi). I asked for paying just for service received, that is, point 1 and 2. No answer given.

We purchased the tour the day before at the hotel where we were staying in Guilin and included the Li River cruise to Yangshuo (self-guided city tour) and agreed return to Guilin by taxi, much cheaper and more flexible solution than the package purchased online. The ferry was simple but very cute and the scenery is fabulous and picturesque...some Anime enthusiasts might recognize the stylized landscapes where the characters of the Dragon Ball saga move (nothing strange because this character, Goku, is inspired by Monkey, the protagonist of the famous and epic Chinese novel "The Journey to the West" by Wu Cheng'En). The cruise flows slowly and pleasantly lulled by the chete waters of the Li River. He deserves absolutely!

Beautiful boat ride among beautiful landscapes. On the way back to guilin our guide allowed us to discover other places to visit. It was a very nice day.

Despite the heavy rain that stopped at departure and cloudy weather, the cruise went well e , the beautiful scenery that with the mist gave an unreal side. Few boats from the GUILIN side. 4 hours of sinking walk in the water.

The driver had to wait for us at the landing dock of the boat we waited 1h30 . We had to make several phone calls and send messages before we were told that we were coming to collect us. We could see ourselves back by bus (2h!!) . Then we preferred to come back to the hotel than visit a village for fear that we would be left in the village. The price is not worth the service. So don't be wary of your return being assured!

Very complete tour, you can get the best views, it is very worth it, do not miss it! With a great driver and guide.

The tour itself is worth a trip to China, the Li River is one of the most beautiful natural scenery on the planet, and its little brother Yulong deserves the same. Our boat had every comfort and we were served a hearty lunch on board. At the end our guide picked us up at the pier and toured the most spectacular places in Yangshuo and the Yulong River, gave us extra time to take our rides on the bamboo boat. It's my second tour with this agency and satisfied with the first or booked with them this tour, we found the same guide who speaks very good English and who immediately made himself available to answer all our curiosity or request. Charles arranged the tour for us at very short notice, despite this everything was perfectly arranged. I recommend it

The cruise is for about forty people on 2 levels so no stress to get stuck in the crowd. Comfortable armchairs, tea, buffet lunch and enjoy the roof terrace to admire the panorama. From Guilim to Yangshuo, 84 kilometers of cruising in 4 or 4.5 hours in zen mode.
